  1. I had the free cake and it was a one layer tres leche cake-it was so good. They put real flowers that matched my bouquet on top of it. I am pretty sure that you dont get to pick the cake. I am sure that if you want to upgrade and pay for a different one you can.

  3. i just went through my stuff from Natalia and Landy and here is your answer about the children's menu-it was $25/per child Cheese hamburger, chicken fingers, spaguetti wth butter

This question goes out to all the girls that did a TTD session, is there anywhere that we can walk on the beach to get more interesting pictures... or has anyone went into tulum town to get some pics... I know some girls did pictures at the ruins.... is there a way to walk to the tulum beach ruins or is access only through the entrance to the park? Thank you girls! I did my TTD on the beach near the resort. Just past the seaside grill is a great beach that is quiet and not very rocky when you get in. I think that Tricia tried to do hers at the ruins and they do not let you do this. There are a few Cenotes not too far from DT that you might want to check out also. I think Hidden Worlds is near there

Our reception begins at 6:30 pm (it's a small party, around 10 people), I expect we'll take an hour and a half or so to eat, and what do we do then? Can we all go watch watever is offered? What time does the disco start? Our crowd is mostly people in their 30s and 40s, so I don't expect much wild partying, but on the other hand, vacation, wedding, unlimited drinks, who knows? Anyway, I'm trying to get an idea what normally happens after the reception. We had 6 people at the wedding and after we were done eating we went to the bar and continued to enjoy ourselves. The night of my wedding they also had fire dancers performing. We didnt make it to the disco but definitely had a ton of drinks by the bar!

My was supposed to be on the same time line as you and I was going to get my photographer for a little longer. My thought was I wanted a lot of pictures of us all over ther resort and with my family and a lot of the girls said that they walked in late to the cocktail hour. I would also assume that your guests will not immediately go to the reception at 5 pm...some might still be hanging out where your cocktail hour is...just my 2 cents

  9. I loved him-when I was young I use to pretend I was Baby in Dirty Dancing and do all the moves and pretend that Johnny was my boyfriend

  11. while it can be hot in may you also have a very nice ocean breeze. we got married at 4 pm and it was not hot at all. If that is your dream dress than go for it!!!!
  12. shannon your pictures are so pretty! You have some great keepers! Claudia and her team are so amazing. Congratulations again
  13. Amy you might want to try to email the wedding coordinators some pictures of the bouquet you have in mind. This was mine and I was really happy with it
  14. I have to give a huge shout-out and I thank you for Sarah. After our wedding I really wanted to have a professional wedding album done but I wasn't sure where to start to look. I had made one for my mom and mother in law through mypublisher and it was cute but not the professionalism I wanted for my album. I contacted Sarah and sent her my CD of about 100 pictures and away we went. She had amazing follow up and really worked with me with everything. I was really nervous about the cost and she was great about working with my budget. My book came yesterday and I love it! It came out better than I had expected and it is now sitting on my coffee table looking professional and beautiful. If you are looking for a professional wedding album than I would definitely reach out to Sarah in a heart beat! I promise that you will not be disappointed. Here are a few pictures of the book!
  15. Lisa you did such a great job. I am a little jealous of all of your little DIY projects! I wish I could of done those (would of saved tons of $$$) Looks like all of your hard work paid off!
  16. why don't you ladies go to the first page of the New Dreams Tulum thread and read the reviews etc for who everyone used as their outside vendors. That is how I found my vendors there
  17. your pictures are beautiful! What a great review! I am sure that other future brides will appreciate it! You looked so happy on your big day! Congratulations!!

I emailed for quotes from some of the professionals that others on this board have used, and I just don't think we have the budget for it. However, I'm afraid to rely on the resort photographer (which is included in our wedding package) as I've heard extremely mixed reviews. Do any already-marrieds have images from the resort photographer that they can share? Or any feedback about using this service? Thanks in advance! Dreams425 used the resort photographer and really liked him...
