  1. Your stuff is amazing! Your guests will love it! I remember your postings about your civil ceremony and the swine flu-congratulations. Hope you have a great time in Mexico
  2. I didnt have a contract at all and I wouldnt be worried about it! I agree with Sunbride, I learned so much on here that I knew I had to give back when I got back from my wedding!
  3. I like these! My husband leaves his crap all over the house. Boxers on the floor next to the bed, papers on the table, coats on the chairs and when I say something he just laughs!

I really don't want to drag 2 dresses to the DR and will NEVER wear the real wedding dress again so I am leaning towards trashing my real ($1500) dress. I used one dress. We did the TTD after the wedding and yes my dress got heavy after I jumped in the pool. I actually wrapped myself in a towel and took my dress off after we were all done the pictures. The dress is totally fine 6 months later and looks totally brand new!

Does anyone know if the WiFi is accessible on the beach as we would like to broadcast the wedding back home? The size of the rectangular tables? Does the speakers hook up directly to an iPod? I have more questions but it's a good place for me to start! The last minute details are starting to pile up! Thanks for any help! Cheers. We didnt use our laptops on the beach-the signal was not that great in the rooms so I cant imagine it being so great on the beach.

We have AT&T - but weren't sure if we'd even have a signal. How much is internet there? Thanks so much girls! Can't wait!!!! All my friends used their cell phone in Tulum and had no problem until we came home and saw the bill! It was nuts! Internet for the week was $80
  8. I wasnt there during July but, in the evening there is a great breeze that comes off the ocean that really kept it nice and cool for us in May.

We went to Playa's 5th Ave one night for dinner-it was cool. It was 45 minutes from Dreams Tulum. It kind of reminds me of a tourist trap. Tons of stores selling everything from prescriptions to booze. THere are some great places to eat also. Tulum is about 1.5-2 hours from Cancun. There are definitely some cool things to do not that far. Xel-Ha is not far and there are the Cenotes around that you can explore.
  10. when I was there in May the party was on the other side of the resort. Near the buffet. If you were having your wedding on the beach I would not be worried about it
  11. We got married 3 weeks before we left for Mexico. IT was important for my family that we get married in a religious place and at the end of the day it was much easier than getting married in Mexico. ALso, like Erica my husband's grandmother was not going to Mexico and we wanted her to see it.

Just make sure it is a private transfer. You dont want to be going to other resorts on your way with that large of a party. It will be annoying. The van was perfect. Air conditioned and very comfortable
  13. We used Olympus tours in December and then American Express in April. It is almost 2 hours from the Cancun airport-that is why it is so expensive

So I guess yes the pictures were prints and also CDs.

  17. Xcarat is not far and it is an all day activity-also you can do the Tulum ruins. Fishing, Playa Del Carmen is about 45 minutes away...Cenotes-there are a few super close to the resort
  18. Check out the vendor page on BDW...DJ Mannia is a vendor on here and so is Doremix. Do a search and you will find some reviews

Thank you in advance for your help!! 1. For a religious ceremony (not civil), how many days do we need to be down there prior to the wedding day? 2. Has anyone on here gotten married in the chapel? I know it's small, but how many people were you able to fit comfortably and did you enjoy the chapel? 3. Does Dreams Tulum handle finding the Catholic priest for our ceremony? Will he speak in English? 4. What specific decorations are included in that package for the reception (white linens, bows on the chair, etc.?) 5. If there are other weddings on my day, do I have to reserve the reception spot I want in advance? 6. Is early December a slow time at the resort? I’ve heard some restaurants/bars are closed in slow times. Anyone have this experience? 7. What time do the bars/restaurants at DT close? 8. If the reception ends around 10 or so, any suggestions for post-party? Thanks ladies. I really appreciate al your help. I cant answer all your questions but I will try You have to get there 3 days before your ceremony for the legal requirements. I didnt get married in the chapel but we did look at it and I would say that it could hold about 40 people. Your priest should speak English-the one we had did. yes there are going to be other weddings on your day-a month before your date they will send you a form and you can tell them at that time where you want your ceremony and reception. Early December should be quiet since most people dont go on winter vacation until end of December. Hopefully I shed some light for you

I need a perfect location and a good rabbi! Turns out, they are not that easy to find! If you already went through something similar, please let me know! =) it might be tough to find a rabbi to marry you if you are not Jewish. I would suggest doing a non religious ceremony and like the other girl said, add some Jewish traditions.

The beautiful beaches in riviera maya are one reason I might choose the resort! The beach is not rocky-it is getting into the ocean that is the problem. We went into the ocean a few times. If you walk past the SeaSide Grill about 5 minutes you wont have a problem with the rocks. Also the rocks are only a problem when you first get into the ocean. Once you are a few feet away from the coast line it is totally fine
  23. I asked my friend who is an OB/GYN and she said it is nothing to worry about-as long as you are taking your pill correctly it is nothing to be concerned with.
