    Hi!

    Happy Planning!
  3. Wow! Everything looks fantastic. Love the OOT bags.
  4. I think it was a combination of "too much info" to almost seem as if they were rationalizing their decision to you while at the same time being a little too nice about it. Just saying, "we would like to stay at XYZ resort, would this be okay with you" would have been more than enough. I certainly don't imagine the intention was to be rude.

    Happy Planning and Congrats!
  7. Happy Planning and Congrats!
  8. Congratulations! Noah is a great name.
  9. Thanks for the ideas everyone. We are not doing bridesmaids dresses since there are only two attending and with the expense of the trip, I decided not to inflict dresses on them as well. Colors... well the wedding dress has "pool" the David's Bridal color in it so I figured I'd go with that and maybe an orange that would really pop and stand out. Hmmm... STD's.... I guess I'll start there. Thanks so much everyone!
  10. It is through Apple, I don't know how long they have been doing Sandals, but our TA works with them with almost all their Caribbean travelers. I'll have to get in touch with him and inquire about travel insurance.
  11. According to my ticker I have about 9 months until the big day. I have the dress. I did make a website with what little info we do currently have, but now I am at a loss. We put the deposit on our trip and reserved the big day at Sandals, but now what?! When is a good time to send invitations? When is too early? What should I be doing? So confused...
  12. In the two weeks that we have been dealing with our TA now, I am not feeling very confident in, well... anything. We placed a $125 deposit each for our rooms and our TA was supposed to be contacting Sandals to arrange group booking information. Should we have gotten travel insurance then? How does that work? He at no point offered it to us or discussed any pricing even though we mentioned it. We met with him on June 2nd and put our deposit down and he took my debit mastercard and was supposed to process our reservation that day. So a week later I contact the Sandals wedding hotline that I located on the website thinking that this would have been plenty of time for the booking to process. I select a date and time and receive a call from Darma the next day. Needless to say I spent 5 days trying to get things ironed out with our TA because he waited a week and a half to process our deposit and reservation through Apple Vacations with Sandals. Yada yada yada, went through a bunch of crap and now we have confirmation numbers for everything... finally. Our wedding date is March 23, 2009 at 3pm at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios and we have a direct flight from Pittsburgh to Montego Bay. But to me, this was not a good start. Now this evening I was reading everyone's posts about travel insurance and was wondering if this was something that we should have done at the time of the deposit. Help!
  13. How bizarre. At least you go to the bottom of it. We live in a very rural community that is very old fashioned and I still keeps our doors locked. Be safe!
  14. Hahaha! I think that about our neighborhood (we live in a townhouse as well). We work in a call center until 11 pm, so I'm always up late and a few weeks ago the whole neighborhood had a total blackout at 3 am. This is very strange for our area as all our power lines are underground and we very seldom even have a flicker. So, Hiram and I were watching Poker After Dark in bed when everything went out and after a few minutes when we realized it wasn't coming back on, he gets out of bed. Of course I ask where he's going and the response is, "investigating." I just about lmao. You would never know to look at my fiance, but he's a total nerd and I couldn't stop laughing. But you never really know in those situations and he wanted to be sure that there wasn't anyone outside sneaking around the neighborhood taking advantage of the power situation or perhaps causing it. Later we decided the power company must have done it intentionally since everything went off on the hour and came back on right on the hour. Since the rest of the town was sleeping, the only ones inconvenienced was us. Not to run away with your post or anything.... even though I just did. But I definitely agree that you can't be too careful and it's always thoughtful to try to look out for your neighbors.
  15. Okay! I got 42 minutes tonight! Only down 6 pounds since I started trying, but I do notice my clothes fitting a little better... hopefully the tire around my waist looses its tread before the wedding!
  16. Hmmmm.... playing detective I see? That is definitely kind of fishy though and I would be concerned, too. Even if he is a drinker, if he isn't all there you never know what can happen. I would be concerned for his welfare (as well as the police officers) if they do not realize he has issues. Sounds like your neighbors have had a string of bad luck though, with the stolen cars and break-ins. I hope everything works out alright! I'm definitely curious to hear the conclusion.

    Newbie :)

Congratulations on the engagement and happy planning!
  18. Congratulations on becoming official! It sounds (and looks) like you had a great time.
  19. I have really been considering Alli to assist in my weight loss. The side effects do sound a bit scary though... I'll check back and see how everyone else does before I make the decision.
  20. Hahaha! I loved that! Those are adorable... but knowing some of my friends and family, I could envision that same situation. Oh well! Hope it all works out. It was a wonderful DW idea, though!
  21. Oh! Now I feel like a bum. I haven't worked out at all this past week and I've spent the last two nights after work sifting through the forum reading everyone's ideas and experiences. I could use some motivation!
  22. I just now realized how dirty it looks in these pictures. Maybe it's my camera.
