  1. I totally agree with your fiance to get an outside planner. One who doesn't work for the resort. I had issues with the onsite coordinator at my venue and hired Baja Weddings. Best thing I ever did! I have Jenny at Baja Weddings and she is great. I interviewed about 5 other companies (Amy Abbot was my close 2nd choice) and went with Jenny for her personality, responsiveness and price. She's been great so far. 7 weeks to go!
  2. Looking at Snorkeling, fishing (for FI's dad), Zip line tours, ATV tours, Go carts, surfing. I've been checking the links on Cabo San Lucas - Los Cabos, Mexico
  3. Hi Nicole, We are worried about logistics as well. I am working on an activities list right now I am compiling a list of activities with prices and times and sending it out to our guests via email to get an idea of who wants to do what with the hopes of getting a group reservation. If I can't get a group then people are on their own to reserve activities. Here's what we are doing: Transportation: Airport: transfers are included for most of my guests at our hotel so that's covered. Anyone staying elsewhere are on their own. We provided a link for airport transportation options on our website. Outings: we are planning a rehearsal dinner in San Jose so we will just pay for cabs for everyone to and from dinner (if they stay out after dinner to party, they are on their own). It's only about $10 each way from our hotel so no big deal. After party wedding night: same as the rehearsal dinner. We will pay for cabs to Cabo for anyone going out that night. If people leave early or at different times, they are on their own to get back. We are a bit out of luck with the taxi issues as we hadn't reserved any private transport prior to the strike so we do not have a contract. It will just be cabs for us unless something changes before Sept. Hope that helps! Don't stress either about people getting to and from the airport. If it's going to break the bank then don't do it. People will understand. Just give them other options (do all the research for them).
  4. Hi Ladies, I am new to the board and I am so glad I found you all! I am headed to Cabo tomorrow for the long weekend. We are having our wedding at Cabo Azul in Sept. I hired Jenny at Baja Weddings to help us out (the onsite planner has been less than helpful). We are doing our tour, food/cake tasting, florisit visit, linens and music selections tomorrow and staying at the resort all weekend. I will be back next week with details and pictures! Can't wait to be sipping margaritas at the pool! Have a great weekend!

    Hi!

Hi Everyone! I am so glad I found this forum. My name is Tara. I am getting married to the man of my dreams on September 27, 2008. We found an awesome resort in Cabo San Lucas called the Cabo Azul Resort to have our wedding. I look forward to reading the posts about Cabo for help in planning my destination wedding. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions! T
