Ladies I need help! I'm planning on Punta Cana next June, but can't decide on a resort. How did you make your final choice

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes. I'm looking forward to the advice and information that is offered here. We haven't picked a resort yet, we're still debating. I know the Riu's are great with service, but I'm not sure how they are on weddings. Any advice or tips would be great from others further along in planning. I have a clear picture of what we're looking for, I"m just not sure how to narrow it down.
