oh and 'Congratulations ACH2009!!'

One of my bridesmaids, my mom and I all got our hair done at the Spa. Mine was just ok, I didn't like my bridesmaids and my Mom's looked great. They did my Mom's makeup and they used a lot of blue eye shadow.. so.. my Maid of Honour actually ended up re-doing it! It really depends on who you get to do it I think. Sorry I've been MIA ladies, but we had a busy weekend re-doing our kitchen! It will be finished this weekend, so I guess that is how we'll spend our Valentine's Day. We booked our vacation for 2009 too! We will be visiting Vancouver Island at the end of April and then we are going to Costa Rica for our honeymoon/first anniversary in November. I'm already excited! Do any of you have vacation plans for 2009, or are you laying low since many of you just got back?

Went to Body Pump last night and did 20 mins on the elliptical - it was great! I am sore this morning though. Hope to get to the gym again this evening - aiming for 5K on the treadmill. I got the 30 day shred DVD last night, and it looks intense! I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Communication with the WC was awesome. Sometimes it wasn't quick, but I always got a reply. And sometimes only one or two questions were answered, but if you keep your emails short (only one or two questions) they will get responded to promptly. Also, once you get there you get everything sorted out, so don't worry about anything too much!

Great review Lucy! I still need to get mine up, now that we have photos to back it up! What an unsettling story about your mother's experience in the middle of the night. It is true that often when we travel to a resort we neglect the normal safety rules we follow when travelling, even in our own country. I know I quite often would leave my stuff unattended, and walk alone at night, on the resort because I naively felt safe. It is a good reminder that just because its a resort doesn't mean that crazy people aren't staying there too! Just like anywhere. Congratulations again Lucy, and thanks for sharing Misti with me! I love your photos.

I hope you found a card you love. I ended up using a 'love' card as well, and it didn't really mention the wedding, but it sort of made the point that we'd be together forever from that point forward. I wrote a heartfelt message inside and it seemed to work! Safe travels - I thought of you getting on the plane with your future hubby this morning!

Amanda - ZUMBA is at my gym now! I am so excited to try it. I went to Body Pump last night, and it was good. It was my only workout before my wedding, and I can't recommend it enough. It really does tone all those parts you hate, and it is enough cardio that is burns a lot of fat! I only went 3 times a week for about 4 or 5 months before the wedding and it worked miracles. I just wish I had started going earlier. But now that I've been off since getting back from the DR, January has been tough and I have to use so much less weight on the bar than I had worked so hard to get up to, it is depressing!

Wow, it is getting down to the wire for you ladies! HOW EXCITING. I wish I was escaping this weather.... ho hum.

Have you tried Winners? The often have some nice stuff too. And its good quality. Also, Victoria's Secret ships to Canada (and REALLY quick, I might add) and their semi-annual sale is on now! I love VS. You can also wear just a matching bra and panty set. Remember your strapless bra for your 'nearly nude' between the sheets photos!

Oh Debs - my parents live in Morrisburg so if I ever take the train to visit, I stop in Brockville. Its a great town! Beautiful in the summer too.
