I'm bumping this thread. I've been looking through invitations trying to find pictures of DIY pocketfolds that you girls have done. I've seen TONS of boarding passes and TONS of passports. My FSIL is not having a destination wedding, but wants me to make her invites cause they are inviting close to 500 people. She likes the pocketfolds, but is wanting to know if they can really come out that great making them myself. I am wanting pictures of pocketfolds you girls have done, so I can show her that it's possible and give her some ideas. Thanks girls!

My FI Just Lost His Job....this stupid economy
Jacilynda replied to arhoyaltres's topic in Just venting or funnies
I'm so sorry to hear this!!! This is the last thing you guys need to be thinking about just before your wedding. If you need someone to talk to you could probably talk to Sylvia (syl115) she had this happen to her a month ago. She was an IT specialist and they were cutting back as well, but I think she had been working for them for 20 years! Hope everything works out for you! Enjoy your wedding! -
Love the dresses shannon, can't wait to see what you decide. I tried on a few dresses that my MOH and mom liked but I wasn't a fan. I ended up really liking them after I put them on.

Danskos are really great, but you have to give them some time, they will from to your foot, but you really have to break them in or they are very uncomfortable.

What size of paper lanterns?
Jacilynda replied to heather007's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Our main colors are fushia and aqua blue, but we've added in a bit of lime green. We decided to do some cream lanterns though, so its not so circus looking w/ all the colors. -
I WANT THIS- Amy Kuschel Belt
Jacilynda replied to Mel&B's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I searched ebay... there wasn't one, there was only one amy kuschel dress on ebay. I even searched craigslist. I can't find one. But I love the challenge so I'll keep looking -
Hey kathie, I will check Northern Idaho, and western washington tomorrow for you. You girls should try calling stores in central us, places not near a lot of water. We've had quite a few around here, cause people around here don't use them that much. They may be able ship them to you, I don't know. I know bath & body, vs, and express will ship so you can try and call and see if they will ship.

What size of paper lanterns?
Jacilynda replied to heather007's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I think that in your area it would be best for just white or cream. Our reception is in a large palapa. -
Didn't the show just start? I haven't seen it, but its the only show on NBC I don't watch, but I thought it just started. Why are they cancelling?

Jacilynda replied to heather007's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
They are much bigger than you think once you open them up. 16 would probably be pretty good for this area. Are you doing just one color? We have 4 different colors we are hanging. Our cream ones are 10", blue are 8", pink are 12" and then we're doing 8" for the green as well. We decided to do different sizes to make is it unique and not just uniform. -
Oh Shannon, of course we want to see pictures. Are you going tomorrow/today or next week?

Hair Up/Down/Half up-Half down?
Jacilynda replied to ~*Kathy*~'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I think you can really do whatever you want. I think you should also just find a few pictures you like of hair up/down and 1/2 and go to a salon and have it styled and decide which you like best. If you have your dress already you could even go home and try it on take pics and then after trying all styles choose which one you like most. I think with your dress you would look GREAT any way you style it. -
Try this: I removed the online code, cause it can only be used once and I have a cart full of stuff I'm about to use it for, but you can print this out and use the barcode at any store. it says on the bottom, that it isn't valid w/ any other discounts (which I assumed meant sale stuff), but I put the code in online and its applied to all of my sale stuff.... so it may work in stores on sale. This is great for those girls looking for those banana republic suits for our men! 30%coupon.pdf

No TTD Dress--no what!?
Jacilynda replied to LadyCheese's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
or also, I guess, if you have a davids bridal around, they are having the $99 sale, so they're discontinued dresses are $99 and you can just buy them and take them home. -
No TTD Dress--no what!?

I'm with morgan, just go to macy's, dillards, nordstroms, etc and check out what they have. What dress were you going to order? -
How about this color combo???
Jacilynda replied to lgarner83's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I guess I'm a bit confused. The other girls are saying too many colors, Are you doing blue and pink, or are there more colors? I'm doing this exact blue and pink w/ a small hint of a kelly/lime green through out everything. I think it looks great, cause these are my colors too! We actually came up w/ these colors from Martha Stewart, we went through pallettes together to come up w/ something. So if Martha stewart likes it, then it must be okay! -
This is GREAT! Although you probably can't send your invite for a couple months, til he's actually there.

FREE Snapfish Photo Book exp. 11/14

It says that it will be applied at checkout. I haven't done mine yet but I imagine that you make your book at it to the cart and once you checkout on the final screen it should show a $0 balance. Hopefully I'll do mine today or tomorrow and can clarify but be sure to get your coupon by today. Good Luck! Thanks, I already posted how to get it to work. I wasn't able to click the link and then log in (cause I already have an acct) I had to fill in my name, etc and then go to another page and click log in. And you have to do an 8"x11" custom cover, not the leather. -
FREE Snapfish Photo Book exp. 11/14
Jacilynda replied to princessina's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
ok nevermind I figured it out. You can't already be logged into Snapfish. click on the link snapfish exclusive for Oprah viewers then click get started, then you actually have to enter your name etc like you are starting an acct then it will tell you that you have an acct and click log in and it will go to a page saying its been added to your account. I did 6 extra pages (26 pages). So, the 6 pages + shipping was $13. Not too bad, cause you can't use any other coupons with it. I'm excited to see how it turns out. With Shutterfly I just did three 70 page books for $70 with all of my coupons and free shipping. -
FREE Snapfish Photo Book exp. 11/14
Jacilynda replied to princessina's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
Thanks! I was so excited when I saw this. I just received 3 photo books from shutterfly yesterday and i wanted to do a snapfish book to compare. So, I clicked on the link about and went to snapfish and started my book, but there was never a promo code and didn't automatically apply. Does anyone know how to actually apply this offer? -
How much $ for catering?
Jacilynda replied to misha79's topic in Destination Weddings in Puerto Vallarta & surrounding areas
I'm not sure what prices over in PV are, but we are in Akumal and are averaging about $33 per person. We are having 6 appetizers on each table, then everyone has a choice of a house salad, caesar salad, or soup and then they get to choose between 4 different meals for their dinner. This doesn't includ our beverages though. -
vote for the dress

I love #2 on you!!! i think the top is amazing on you and if you're working on losing weight, or toning, it will look great!!!!! -
So many of us women are wanting koozies and are always searching for the best deal. I have found great prices for them on several sights but they have a minimum order of 100 or 250. Those that have a minimum of 50 are more expensive. I decided to try doing them myself. I bought a koozie today that was on sale at Pier 1 for $1. I don't plan on using these ones, but it was cheap and convenient since I was there, and I just wanted to try this. I always have iron on transfer paper at the house, cause I'm always making us several sports shirts, and lots for the little one. Why pay $15 for a sport shirt for her that she's going to grow out of in a couple months, when I can make them (even the exact one) for $3? So I just printed out an old monogram on transfer paper. I ran the iron over the koozie, then placed the cut out monogram on the koozie, ironed for 10 sec, removed the paper and voilà ! I spend $7 on a pack of 6 sheets of transfer paper, and at this sight: Blank Collapsible Koozie/Can Holder - NO MINIMUMS! I can get blank koozies for .60 cents (no minimum) and make 54 (which is more than I need) for $39. Here is a pic, sorry its a patterned koozie, I just wanted to try this. This is much cheaper then having to buy in bulk and start up fees, etc. Once I make mine, I'll post them to see a finished product!
