Has anyone used Shavon's Wedding Silks?
Jacilynda replied to Jacilynda's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Thank you! How would you compare her work w/ say AA, or Sharon Nagassar? I haven't heard of her much and I searched for reviews on her work and couldn't find anything. All testimonials on her site are great, but I wanted some reviews from other than her site. She is very nice. I'm just concerned w/ quality, and what I'm getting for the money. Shavon quoted me half the price for my bouquet than Sharon. I'm curious if its because its going to be much smaller or anything like that. I've emailed her to find out a few things, but I know she is very busy.... and I'm not the most patient person ever! -

I just looked at the VH1 site and searched Daisy and she is still having her show, it premiers sometime undecided in 2009. They must be filming now, cause they just picked the guy from online on the 19th of December. She dated Dave in May but has been broken up for a while, then moved on to Tommy Lee..... SHOCKER! She has a casting site i guess. www.daisyoflovecasting.com

the girls on the new season or such skanks!!!!! I read back in people a long time ago in an interview Bret is still in love w/ Ambre, but there work lives always kept them apart and they couldn't make it work to spend enough time together. I think Daisy is a skank too. Who lives in a one bedroom apt w/ their ex for years I didn't know she was dating Dave Navarro! She was going to have a show on VH1 and they were doing casting at the end of the summer.

One of the other girls posted a thread about her saying they found her site. I'm curious if anyone has used her or seen her stuff in person? Here is the thread w/ her site and it has a long post about what I found w/ her, but just wanting to know if anyone has used her, or seen her work! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34390

Ya ask the resort. Each is different. We guessed but tried to do a few over just in case. We were able to get 10% off each for our guests, and didn't have to do a deposit. Each guest just needs to call and reserve one of the blocked rooms. We even get a free room for every 10 rooms booked, which is great cause we some very close friends, and my MOH my sister who can barely afford to even come so having a room they don't have to pay for really helps out! Where are you having your wedding and planning to block rooms at? Some of the girls may have used them and could give you info on what they did

Found another Floral Website!!
Jacilynda replied to cdc0427's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Has anyone used Shavon? So 4 days ago I sent her a quote form and she sent me an invoice today of costs. I couldn't believe the price!!! I know alot of the girls like AA, but all the pics I've seen, I'm not a real fan I don't think they look that real. I really liked Sharon's Nagassars work so I was going to use her, then we had some drama on BDW, so I decided against her. So we decided to do real flowers. Here is what we are getting: My bridal bouquet: Made up of large acapulco lilies, cream roses, and green cymbidium orchids. Maids: smaller version of mine need 4 Bouts: Grooms to have a green cymbidium orchid and rose, then 8 others of just a green cymbidium orchid Corsages: 2 green cymbidium orchids, and 1 cream rose, need 2 of these Flower girl: I wanted a small pomander of just green cymbidium orchids Cake: needed 9 green cymbidium orchid blooms centerpieces: need 7 here is a photo of our idea, but of course w/ acapulco lilies, cream roses, and green cymbidium orchids Now for real flowers we were quoted $823 before the pomander and cake flowers. I was ok with this. I'm asking for quite a bit here I guess. They wanted to charge $260 for just the pomander. I had my heart set on a pomander so I looked back into Sharon. I was thrilled Sharon quoted me $908 for everything and that included shipping. I was pleased. In-laws are paying for them, but they are currently in Thailand for a few more weeks so we haven't put any money down. Then I saw this thread for Shavon. I though well I'll just put in a quote and see. Shavon emailed me today with a total of $683!!!! Although she didn't include the cake flowers, so I'm still waiting but seriously $683! I emailed her back about the cake flowers and the size of the bouquets and centerpieces to see if they compare with what Sharon and I talked about. I'm just curious if anyone has used her or seen her work in person so I can really decide. All of her flowers are real touch so thats good. Any input is GREAT!!!! I will let you know what she says about the sizes of everything. I'm still in shock about $683 which included the shipping! -

I'm sick, so it's kinda hard to get motivated to go work out. I will absolutely force myself tonight! I can't believe how close the wedding is getting, and I have a lot of pounds to shed! There's no time left for dilly-dallying! Best of luck, everyone! May you all become BIG LOSERS! I didn't get to working out yesterday either, and will force myself tonight!!!! Be good to yourself! You're sick for goodness sake! FI was going to start with me too, but now at work they are doing a biggest loser so he wants to start on the 19th when they start so he can count all his weight loss. Although his work doesn't have a sign up fee, and they are doing the top 3 losers, the biggest loser gets a $500 gift card to the mall, 2nd place gets $300 to the mall, and the 3rd place gets $200 to the mall so they can buy new clothes for their new bodies! Boy are they good to them! Good luck girls!!!!

Macy's to close 11 stores
Jacilynda replied to SAM's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
WOW! I wonder if they plan on closing more. I thought for sure ours would be on that list when I opened this. But, thank goodness it isn't I'm always shopping there. But I would like the sales. 2 in one mall! Is one a mens or something? Our mall has 2 herbergers and one is womens, home, makeup & fragrance, and the other is men, juniors and kids. But the mall by our lake house has 2 macys too, and one is mens, women, fragrance, kids, home, and the other is just juniors. -

I'm working on finishing touches with the designs tonight and tomorrow night and I'll have 5-7 ready to send to you to evaluate. Whee! Alot of the girls, including myself, are legally married before they go. It's less expensive, if your state doesn't require blood tests then you don't have those, and some girls are STILL waiting for their marriage license to be translated. It's quite normal to do a legal wedding in the states, whether you do it before or after is up to you!

I have to agree w/ the other girls about rethinking about having your dad walk you down the aisle. You may regret it later on. My father passed away almost 10 years ago, and I would give anything to have him walk me down the aisle. I also agree w/ just letting the naysayers go. We made it very clear to our guests that we didn't expect them to come. If they did great! We're blessed that they can share that day w/ us. If they can't come we're having a reception at home so everyone can still be a part of wedding celebration!

I used to work for the airlines and I've packed hundreds of airline pits, so the ones that are a real hard case all around don't stack well so they get put on top and they slide easily when put on their sides, so they get tossed everywhere in the pit cause they slide all over. If you get the regular rolling bags, get ones that you will actually fill up, cause if you put lotion, hair spray, gel, etc in them and then don't fill them up they can get squished. Heavy bags are mixed in w/ regular weight, so if its it not full and you have lots of liquid, a heavy bag can get thrown on top which will sink in and smoosh your stuff, and ruin the supports of the bag. I usually check a medium size bag full of clothes, etc. And then the smaller duffels w/ rollers to pack my toiletry stuff cause the duffles are put on top in the pit. I have nice DVF bags, and really the only suggestion I have for bags being "destoyed" is getting dark colored bags, or ones that easily clean. The airline does not cover broken handles, or wheels, other than that if you take it to the airline they will reimburse you.

oot bag help please
Jacilynda replied to Christinamaria22's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Target also has totes in their dollar section for 2.50 each. They currently have all black, all blue, and all pink. I think they are part of their fitness stuff, but in February or March they bring out their summer totes, and last year they were really cute: They had green or pink inside last year. So I would still hold off a bit and see what happens. Seems like anytime you rush to get something you find something better, at a better deal, after you have yours -
Show us your flower girl dresses

We are also doing the tutus and leotards. My daughter will be 15 months, we want a fuchsia tutu and white leotard, possibly one w/ the flowers on the shoulders. -

Also check Macys! They always have really good sales on luggage, and they have nice luggage. I spent $200 and have a really nice 5 piece set of DVF luggage from Macys. Also like Erin said TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls have good prices.

EXACTLY!!!! Technically, even if something did happen, its not cheating I'm also the female version of these guys. I'm so not a mushy jump into this is my boyfriend. It's takes me actually say ok we're boyfriend/girlfriend, before that we're friends getting to know each other before becoming exclusive. Oh, Jessica I'm so glad there is someone else out there with me! I'm curious about this new guy, but do you think she agrees to be boyfriend/girlfriend w/ Jay?! I think she does, cause we have yet to see the part in the previews where she is watching Jay perform, and you know Jay is a big part of the show because at the beginning of the show they show Whitney and her name, then Jay, Then they do erin and olivia. Sorry girls!
