We didn't have all of our guests wear white. We felt like people coming w/ enough so we didn't ask people to wear a certain dress code. But, I wore white, my BM's wore white w/ colored sashes, the guys were all in white w/ khaki pants. Here's a few pics of ours: I personally am not a fan of everything being white, I like the idea of wearing white, but definitely having a splash of color in flowers and sashes, etc

Cabo only had rain from what I heard. But if you're really concerned call the hotel

I have never heard of a bridal portraits, but I get the idea. I didn't do them. But my TTD shoot has a TON of photos that are just me, well I know they took a ton so we'll see when I get them. But I do like having photos of just me. And so does Joe, ha! I don't see the point in doing a whole shoot of just me, but I have plenty of me just before the ceremony and tons on our TTD so that makes up plenty for me.

i love the airbrush too, but have heard alot of what the other girls have said. Salt water... bad! the less showering you do the better. And I have heard photographers say it looks orangey, but the great thing about the airbrush is you can pick your tint so if you went much lighter it wouldn't be orangey..... although then it wouldn't be much of a tan, and wouldn't really be worth it IMO

Sounds like there are a few brides that had their weddings there and everybody raves about how cool the area is. Thanks for such a thorough review, I will definitely take into consideration your thoughts when planning out some of our events during the week. Congrats!! How exciting! Where are u doing your wedding in Akumal? -
Thanks, WOW! We only have one place in town who does taco bars and they charge $8 per person so I'd be around $800 and I'm pretty sure I could buy all of my stuff and cook, well of course w/ the help of Joe's mom and spend less than $800 on tacos alone. I think I might do up some tacos this weekend and see what we use. Nachos is a good idea too! We would just add some chips and such and also have nachos! AWESOME!

i tried googling for you girls and it seems the last things reported were in May just saying fall 2009 -
this is a good idea! I've been trying to think how much burger I use when we have tacos and how many we eat, but I can't remember! Maybe we'll eat tacos this weekend

So I was originally going to do a BBQ w/ burgers and such. But I think it would be fun to do a taco bar, and have corona, margs, and chips, salsa, & guac. Its a very laid back AHR we're doing it on a college football day, we're very big on our local university football, and we only live a block and a half from the stadium. So we're going to start early and have slideshow of our pics going, then when the game starts we'll play it. We're going to have a cake. But I was thinking of doing a taco bar and if anyone else had done this and the price they may have spent for their taco bar. I'm for sure buying our meat (for burgers or taco bar) from Albertsons cause at night they have their ground beef $1.88 per pound so thats what i buy it for but figured I'd grab it all when its on sale. And we'll do the small tortilla shells not the large ones We're expecting 80- 100 people right now but I have no idea how much meat to get, or cheese, lettuce, etc. I thought I'd ask some of you who may have had a taco bar and I know there are a couple catering girls on how much food do you think i need?

VERY upset with Bittersweet Wedding designs right now!
Jacilynda replied to Glamourina's topic in Bride Referrals
Is this over yet? WOW! Its been nice to see this from the outside. Reading this I would probably never order flowers from Bittersweet, but if I were a vendor I wouldn't want to do any business w/ Glamourina just because of the amount of drama on both sides. Glamourina I hope you can confirm that you got your refund and then this thread can be done. -

I also thought that, but in the end it worked out great for us, we actually had 2 photographers throughout our wedding week -

I don't know specifically who is in Negril, I'm sure there are certainly some reviews around of Negril girls and who they used. You can also look into bringing a photographer w/ you. We did that and it was the best we had them for a week and in the end spent as much or a little bit less than a photographer in RM but got a weeks worth of amazing photos! Here are few they did in apool a few weeks ago. I know this is becoming a big thing! They only take a month to get all of your photos up online and then get a disk to you a couple months after that. They have exceeded our expectations for sure!!!!!!! If you are interested in them email them at info@dlweddings or you can PM me! I just went to your photographers site to see them larger. Great choice with your photographer! I definitely want at least one canvas! But how do I decide? I'll have the rest of our photos by the end of next week!!!
