  3. WOW!!!! Melissa- Its definitely a different overlay, but of course we can't get exact. First of all aside from the overlay I think you look FANTASTIC in this dress... it is SOOOOOO Slimming on you! I see what you are saying about the pictures and you're worried about photography. Are you getting married outside? I was thinking you were and it will be so much different outside in the sun and if you're doing it in the sand and the ocean as a backdrop I don't think you'll notice it as much. Try going outside and taking pics and see how daylight treats it! Christie!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this dress on you!!!! You look fantastic and I'm so excited about how well they've done on the lace! Kimmy- You do not look frumpy at all! But i think if you have alterations done you'll be so happy! I have a friend of a friend who ordered her dress and BM dresses from Landy and just got them the other day. I'll email her and see if she could get some pics that I could share!

  6. I have had some personal issues w/ family and have been away from my home and my laptop is broken and BDW always has a hard time loading on my BB so I try to log in but it doesn't always come up. DH was trying to help me while I haven't been at our house to do this, but of course we all know about miscommunications w/ men sometimes I spoke w/ marryinghimagain. She leaves tomorrow afternoon and I overnighted the starfish to her, her FI works for USPS and said they should have it a few hours before the leave tomorrow! Keep our fingers crossed! I really apologize for all of this!

It has 300 recipes of soups, salads, sandwiches, meatless main dishes, fish & shellfish, meat, and poultry. It all looks so good and its healthy. There are also some desserts listed throughout. But we've been picking a main and mixing and matching w/ different sides and I love it has calories listed cause its really helped Joe and I keep on track. The food is so good and I'm done w/ 30 minutes! Enjoy ladies!
  9. Ladies I talked to Shavon today! Her business has grown so quickly she's having a hard time catching up! She is receiving on average 500 quotes per week. She has an assistant, but they are just unable to get everything done and do every quote. She had some emergency surgeries a few months ago so she's had an assistant helping her. She is working on building her business to accomodate all of this but only can do so much at a times since she still has so much work to do. For quotes she started a lottery system. She randomly picks so many quotes a day to look at if she can't accomodate the date she picks another one. She just randomly picks, not based on budget or anything she doesn't have time to look through all of them and pick by budget, etc she just pics a few and sends them a quote. So if you're really interested in her work and want a quote email the form, if you don't hear back send another, and so on. I spent over a month looking for the right floral company to give me just what i wanted and the best deal. Most of that time was spent waiting on replies. I will tell you Shavon was very quick for me. She had some medical issues a couple months ago and still managed to get me my flowers a month early!!
  10. oh sorry girls! Ive lost my mind and haven't been on here much so completely forgot. DH and I have been doing our own BL so thats had me a little distracted and we have millions of personal issues taking us in a hundred different ways. I'll check in on you guys often! Plus I have some AWESOME recipes for you. Joe and I didn't get a chance to work out this week cause of our craziness going on but I started cooking healthy and light and he lost 4lbs and I lost 3.2lbs from just counting calories and eating better. You wouldn't believe this food was healthy! Good luck!
  11. hey ladies! I PM's marryinghimagain back a bit ago. I had it ready to go just needed to drop it off and had an emergency come up and had to leave town so I've been back and forth and it completely slipped my mind w/ everything But DH actually saw it on his desk yesterday and had it sent so she should have it any day now! he's beautiful and I can't wait to hear about how much other girls love him!
  12. you can set them up w/ the on off switch. I put mine together2 days before our wedding w/ out the on off switch and gave them to our restaurant manager. Batteries don't just die, these are the kind you use in like a watch or the little remote to unluck your car... they last a while, and the LED's should last like 2 weeks so they shouldn't just die.
  13. YAY Ginalyn!!!! My AHR is tomorrow too!!!! I'm about to run off to Costco for TONS of stuff!
  14. Really there is alot going on w/ the cheating last season. Honestly, I don't think we'll have an issue this season. There is no monetary gain. Last season people of course are competitive and want to win but really there was almost $600 if you won. This season I think anyone joining is joining to better themselves and help others... thats it. I think we should just be able to send in a before pic to Ginalyn (save it in a folder) you don't have to show your face, but don't wear super baggy sweats and an oversize shirt. Something thats fitty so she doesn't have to see your bare body, but an idea of your size. Then an after pic u wouldn't have to show your face but wear clothes that shoe your size, or even wear the clothes from your before pic to see the difference. I don't really like the idea of only the winner sending in their pics cause say they did just so happen cheat (God forbid) or the host assumes they cheated, then there comes alot of drama of pointing someone out as cheating. I dont think anyone will this season so really we should just move on from it and become losers!
  15. oh good! You know i didn't tryon my exact dress, but tried on some similar by other designers and new what i liked on my body and just loved the dress i got but couldn't find it anywhere. I took a risk and it paid off. You'll be beautiful in any dress! It's hard to risk it especially on your dress. But I LOVED mine and Island Princess loves hers and ordered another one for her for either her reception or trash the dress i can't remember. I hope everything works out perfectly!
  16. before we just sent a picture of our feet on the scale not our actual whole body. I understand the whole cheating thing. But just curious if we're going to have to do our whole body. Cause DH isn't around alot so it would be hard to get him to take a pic of me on the scale and my weight
  17. beachbum the I ended up Shavon because although the centerpieces were quoted the same price as other real touch vendors her bouquets were slightly cheaper and the pomander sold it for me. We did a 4" pomander for my daughter and other vendors were charging $80-$120 and Shavon only charged me $15! The middle ball was 4" but the pomander ended up about 8"
  18. I don't think Bittersweet even knows Scott-Pierre is on this forum. I think her argument means nothing to BDW girls anymore. This was one situation and anyone could decide that maybe it wouldn't happen again but only a few days after this thread ended a new one started... and what do you know!!! That bride didn't get her flowers either!!!!!!!!! Oh and Bittersweet blamed it on UPS AGAIN!!!!!!!! This forum is GREAT! I'm fairly certain any member or anyone who googles and finds this thread will NOT use Bittersweet, some may even decide to let the money go and move on because in the end she has caused too much stress, especially when brides are already stressed days before they leave for a DW!
  19. Chelsea! Thank you! Trust me you will not be dissapointed w/ Akumal!!! Las Villas I think are on Jade Bay so you'll have to walk up to the main bay the reef is great and the people are the nicest people you've ever met!!!!!! Its so exciting to hear about other girls getting married in Akumal.... Just makes MarieSam and I so tickled pink!!
  20. WOW sorry girls! She always responded to me w/in 24 hours. I havent talked to her since I've been home but just before i left she had some medical emergencies and was going through surgeries and was so great and getting my stuff done when she could. i don't know specifics of her medical condition but could be having some effect on your responses. I will email her and let her know that i've posted about her on here and alot of girls have sent requests w/ no answer and how this might effect her!
  21. I am in! I could use the motivation before the holidays!

Two, as you said, lace might be a little difficult due to the sand. Is your wedding formal or informal? I always like to see brides have a dress that goes with what type of wedding their having. Its kinda weird to see a formal wedding dress at an informal wedding on the beach. Everyone is so comfortable and dress casual and then you have the bride who looks uncomfortable, hot and done up more then the location. Just my thoughts. But all the dresses are beautiful. Good luck with your decision. You will be a beautiful bride no matter which dress you pick - they are all fantastic! Haha you might change your mind after seeing weddings on this forum! Alot of us became 2 dress brides because we bought dresses we thought matched our formality and location and ended up getting a second dress cause the 1st even though it went w/ the style and location wasn't our dream dress. And really i was EXTREMELY hot, i sweat so bad between my legs in a mermaid dress i had a rash by the end of the night. but I loved every minute of it and my dress was amazing I wouldn't change it for a second. I often walked out on the beach and lifted the bottom to get some air. And lace although not my style is INCREDIBLE on the beach. There are MANY brides on here w/ lace dresses and they look to die for! Check out wedding reviews and pics and you may end up changing your mind on your own dress!
