I've been given the negative attitude because people aren't wanting to go all the way down there. I figure if they din't approve and don't want to come, then I don't want them there. It's my day and I'm not going to let them ruin it. my parents and my sister are the only people on my side of the family coming.

I plan on doing mine the day before... but the girls and I are having a full day of spa to try and relax the day before. I definitely wouldn't be out to the early hours the night before getting trashed. -
Marriage before children?

We were engaged and slowing planning things when I got pregnant, and I was on the pill and we were using protection.... so it was quite the shock! We just put the wedding to the side and worked on prepping for baby. Now she's 7 weeks old and being a mother is absolutely amazing. I originally always wanted to be married before having children, but i wouldn't have it any other way now... she's the best thing in our lives -

honestly, i agree.... let her go. your moh should care. Not only that if she has made a comment of possibly not wanting to be in the wedding she doesn't deserve and obviously shouldn't be your MOH. Your MOH is supposed to be helping you... not stressing you out!

Thanks! We're just doing our own thing and not doing a wedding package w/ the hotel. The hotel is really great as long as I tell her what we're up to she really doesn't mind what we do. I just didn't want to break any laws or anything! -
Hey, so my fiance and I are getting legally married at home before we leave to Mexico for our ceremony. Does anyone know if we can have a friend/family member perform our marriage, since we're already legally married? If not, does anyone know how you could become an ordained minister who can legally perform weddings in Mexico? Thanks!

Hi everyone! My fiance and I getting married next year, August 8, 2009. We are having our wedding at the Hotel Akumal Caribe in Akumal, Mexico. I'm so excited to go through the DIY forum... some of you are just so crafty, I love it!
