This year we are headed to Australia (in just under 2 weeks). A few years back he took my fiance w/ him on a research trip to Africa for 36 days. We as a family enjoy the benefits of his job! Love it!
  4. Sorry it took so long to get the answer! Laura said that if you do not have your reception w/ the Lol-Ha Restaurant the fee for a ceremony at Cannon House Site is $100
  5. I'm not sure what thread you are talking about, but here's a hawaiian website that has cute straw totes for under $5. Welcome to Ailana Kai

  8. We went w/ tungsten carbide so it won't scratch. It was $400 in the store, but we bought it online from a jeweler in L.A. for $108, which included it being engraved.

The only reason I ask is because most photographers cost like $2000 for a mid-range package, and a lot of DJ's cost between 800 and 1000 bucks. We are using Lidya Solemidt for our photography. I only really need her for our ceremony and all the photos after... and not really for the reception. Our ceremony is going to be so short and quick that I'm only asking for her for 2 hours. We have a couple people in the family who are photographers and are going to be taking pictures through reception as well as we're putting out cameras for people to take pictures. Lidya is also doing a TTD shoot for us the next day. Her total fee is $850. We aren't actually booking a dj. My FBIL knows a little bit about it and our reception site has all the equipment to do it ourselves so we're paying $250 for equipment. 17. I've done my whole wedding w/out a w/c... I just posted my planning thread today. We are having about 47 guests. Chairs are quite pricey for us but we've actually done quite well. We're only spending $4650. Although for our minister.... we're really doing our legal marriage at home so we have a family friend being ordained online and he's performing our marriage. You can do it if you really want to.
