Carly, thanks for the post!! I'm using Beaches Negril for our wedding because of our 5 yr old son.. I already know your feelings about the WC/Miami Planners... I just don't get it.. but it seemed to all work out well... I am glad things are on the +. Can't wait to hear more!

Cole, I totally agree w/you on being a PITA.. It looks like we will have more like 150 at our AHR we too are going with all the extras... I love the idea.. I just hate planning for both right now.. soooo....We have yet to start anything on that yet.. But it's January and everything is dead up here during then... I guess I need to get moving though.

Yessss.... totally wearing my dress again to my AHR. Since not everyone will be able to see me in it ... it has been the question of all our friends and family if I am going to wear it or not. I thought though not very long and why not. This party is an extension of your wedding day and another reason to get all decked out and feel like a princess all over again. My party is going to repeat what they wear too. My MOH now can't come to our DW which I have finally gotten over but she is still working with me on everything and she already has her dress so she will be wearing hers along with my other BM. I know that I won't wear it the whole day but just to have our big walk in and everything works for me.

Currier Yup I am with you ... Only want real flowers... even though I know I won't be able to take them home.. which I think customs stinks for this!!! I just don't understand why they have to make it sooooo difficult and won't let us choose our own people. Oh I know why... nickel and dime us .. HAHAHAHA.

We are getting married at Beaches Negril, Jamaica... because we want our day as special for us as our son who will be 6 by the time we are down in Nov. He is very important to us and Beaches just seemed like perfect place to set his world in amazement. Noah will be down with us from the time we arrive on the 5th to leaving with my in-laws on the 10th so that we can have alone time. On that day we are switching resorts and headed over to Couples Swept Away (still in Negril) for some serious adult time. No children just us and other couples enjoying life.

Hey Jodi, Congrats on picking a Beaches Resort. We are getting married at Beaches Negril on Nov 8,08. Our reasoning too was for our son who will be 6 by the time we get married. If we were going to have the time of our life with the wedding why shouldn't he. Beaches just seems perfect for the little ones. Lets keep in touch with all our Beaches stuff.

I'm def going to that site and snagging some of those for my wedding in Jamaica. Thanks for the pics they are perfect in what I was looking for!!

Currier, I love the bouqet and found something almost similar in pink and white with a hint of blue.. how much do they want to charge?? I was thinking of using Floral Fantasies which is right in Negril. I talked with one the women directly and she said she can meet me right off the property (gate) and pick up my flowers from her and Sandals/Beaches can not say a word. YAY a lupole for their vendors ONLY.

We are having a AHR when we get back but we are waiting 2 months and having in Jan 09 when our wedding is Nov 8th. Once we get back from our HM everyone will be in with the swing of the holidays and most of our families work in the medical and blue colar (firefighter, police) fields. Getting any time off during these times espec on a weekend doesn't happen often because of the unions they are in. It was a long thought process but my FH has a wonderful family and I love them but most just can't go for many different reasons along with our grandparents now living in homes a flight is something they can not handle. I was sad that so many of them wouldn't be able to join but we understood totally. It only seemed right to have something fun and include them and make it feel like our special day all over again. We are not going overboard just renting a hall (think a Legion or Elks hall)... and decorating with everything you can think of from Oriental Trading or other websites that have Luau themed items. We live right outside of Boston and winters in January BLAH!!! along with the coming down of the holidays.. a fun afternoon with Hawiian Shirts and Lai's seemed appropriate. Just remember to make it a fun day if you do it ... don't stress out just enjoy the fact you get to spend the day with all the people that want to go and see you as Mr & Mrs.

We are not big into fighting or getting into tifts... but it is always the house stuff and who cleaned what war. I know we both are clutter people in a sense because I have what I like and he has what he likes and we have yet to clean out that stuff to make it completely our stuff. We have been in our own home we bought 2 years ago .. and just something needs to give in our piles. Funny thing is I go on full day tangents about cleaning .. get it done and then next thing I know it is not our 5 yr olds mess... but his... and then I go nuts and it's all over the socks being left all over the house or jackets draped over every chair we have instead of being put away. LOL... I'm happy with clutter just not random stuff where ever. Is it really this bad

YAY.. Congrats!! We are going to be in the same area. We are getting married at Beaches Negril on the 8th and then going for our HM to Couples Swept Away on the 10th. Couples is awesome!!!

I think it's a really cute idea for the 2 yr old. Our orig local wedding was the week before xmas and I was going to have my FG set up to be a little angel walking down the isle. They have beautiful FG dresses with lots of color. I am jealous not to have a FG now for that reason. I like frilly foofy stuff.. LOL

Oh honey I feel your pain and I am soooo sorry for you ... I had the same thing happen to me. Orig local wedding 4 on each side of our party ... and just up till lastweek I am now down to 1 bridesmaid .. and no groomsmen at all. I had 3 def when we changed to a DW wedding, but then 3 weeks ago I had my MOH and one of bridesmaids roomed with a friend and the friend bagged me without even telling me and I found out from my WP that she canceled. With that being said MOH and BM freaked because the prices will be changing and how could they afford more when they planned the 3 of them. 2 days later after all of that ... my BM (in that group) found out that she got into the abroad program and is now going to Ireland for a semester for college, during our wedding. I am sooooo happy for her but sooo sad because she is like my little sister. And to top it all off... my MOH just can not swing it now alone.... It's just so frustrating and I want to cry and did that because I was just so overwhelmed with it all because it happened all in one weekend. Here is the kicker to it all ... My FH... just gave up with his side because he didn't want me to feel bad anymore and canceled all his guys and moved his dad to be his BM... I just don't get it ... you committed to things .. you got a responsability and you agreed to it all... Only to get bagged in the process... this SUCKS!! Gotta love the stress!

Erin where did you find the bottles... I would love to do this.. sounds perfect since I will a beach bum bride! We have the same colors it looks like too. From all the other posts, we def need to compare notes!!!
