  1. Funny thing happened lastnight... Jay and I were on the couch talking about a whole lot of nothing while reruns were on. Noah's 6th Birthday party was yesterday so we were zonked from the day. Out of nowhere the boy decides to tell me .... "I think you need to go back to your Bahamas haircut and color... I miss it dark" .. "It would be perfect for the wedding" OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since the second we got engaged I have been on the Good Girl of growing out my hair and not coloring it and leaving it be, so I can have perfect hair for the wedding ... just like the boy wanted... "long sweeping blonde curls blowing in the breeze" (these are his words!) I'm a freeeeeeekin hairdresser and I was able from Dec till now, a swear a worlds record (for a hairdresser) not to do anything to your hair ecxept the tiny trim. Needless to say I am extremely happy but at the same time totally confused because I do love my hair shorter and I did like it darker... but this is just not like him..... Geezzz. So girls you tell me ... which do you like better This is "Bahamas" Hair - I changed it the day before we left for the Bahamas and surprised him with this... Now here I am with the O' Natural of today

  21. We always go on vaca the 1st week of Feb. It's warm maybe 80ish? The Sun and walking around always feel warmer...but it's a perfect time to go down to the Bahamas! Easy way to think.... ummm your in MD so maybe end of May June hot with out the humidity. The nights you will still want a sweater with the breeze off the ocean.. but it's perfect. I'm from Boston so its a really huge change for Feb weather. Remember to take your girls to the Straw Market for your knock off purses.. and ALWAYS visit Diamonds International. If you want a deal on anything for jewelery it's your best bet.. and haggle like crazy.. My 5 yr anniversary 5 diamond band for my right finger... retail at DeBeers (which buys almost all their stuff from DI) 4200.00 we got it for 1300.00 and its a plat band and VVS1 Diamonds.. Sorry I blabbed but PM me and I can tell you soo much more!!
  22. Have you checked with Kayak.com ... We have some guests using Spirit Airlines from Boston to get to Mo Bay. We booked a long time ago as soon we knew Jamaica.. so it was only 365 round trip... Spirit right now has a super deal from 435. I would check out6 Kayak.com and see what they have to say you might be surprised. They check every site under the sun and get you the cheapest rate. Also another thing to think about it "Wacky Wednesday" Early in the morning on Wed you can usually find some great deals on flights... don't know its always a Wed but it has worked with a few of our guests.
  23. Hi Sara, I'm a hairdresser so you have a Sally Beauty Supply in Canada?? If you do the best thing to do on a DIY color is pick out something you love in the swatches... (now are you going darker/the same or lighter.. now that is the question?) If going darker/same.. find the color you like and pick up 20 volume developer (usually on the bottom shelf under the colors)... along with the liquid color. Make sure they are the same brand. Also look for a tiny packet of "Grey Gone" or something of that matter... check with the person working at the store. Mix all the components together and time it as suggested on the color/developer bottle.. You should be a go after that... Also, look for warm hue's as it is turning fall ... something with a slight tint of gold/red... this will make the color shine with a bunch of tonal fun. If you have any other questions PM me!!!
  24. As a random thought on the way in this morning while sitting in traffic I thought of this. I am starting tonight since 1) I have severe farmers tan/work-o-holic tan = pure white legs and super dark arms!! And well I know once getting to Jamaica in 2 months I will "burn baby burn" sorry for the expression. I don't fake n bake normally only been on 2 occasions to get ready for the Bahamas and DR. Soooooooo Which lotions do you use when tanning at the salon?
