  4. YAY .... Happy Day Amanda!!! I can't wait to hear all the news see all the pics! Hope everything goes wonderful!!!
  5. I started on this well before Christmas and made up 2 to try out and see how I really felt about them. One was for us to bring back and forth to work for people to look at and the other was for Jays parents to have something for the same reason. Everyone wanted to see pictures but bringing our whole pro album was daunting enough. I went with Shutterfly for 8x8 books. I had 30 pages in total and went with only the pro wedding pics. Honesly, I just needed to make sure it was what I really wanted in a book that everyone would have. Christmas Day came and all 13 books ordered after my orig purchase were opened... Everyone raved about them and how now they had the special moments. I didn't go overboard on size, but I think they are perfect. I was able to also get a buy one full price and then get so many for 40% off and then so many for 50% off each. I got 55% off... Saved a ton.
  6. Ok time for my vote... I do love your number 1... that was ivory right?? Looks very pretty, but for some reason on your runner ups... I keep going with the first and last. I think the first runner up with the flow-e-ness of it all ... and airy feeling it has in the right size will be amazing and you get to have what you want with the lace up back. The very last picture of you .... Oh My I think that is sooo pretty 2, it defines your waist and doesn't make your girls look like cannons waiting to burst out. Oh and Jenn... super suckers are the way to go for everything!! Go back in try the dresses on again with a good pair ... what a world of difference it will make.
  7. Hmmm I will actually need to check with my BM.... My MOH wore Pool and my BM wore the Watermelon size 6... I can check for you and let you know if she wants to sell.... here is the dress she wore...David's Bridal - Bridesmaids, Dress Detail Here is a forum post that has Kimi in the dress http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t32668 Also, I am working on selling everything I have and will have a huge FS thread up by the weekend. I have watermelon colored ribbon, umbrellas, petals, along with everything in pool too. to coordinate with the white.
  8. Congrats and a special welcome from the 1st Beaches Negril Bride here on the forum.. You need ANYTHING let me know and I will be happy to pass along. You are going to love Beaches, it was by far the best vaca we have ever had!
  9. Congrats Aurelia and welcome to posting to the board! My Hubby and I HM'd at CSA and it was amazing!!! You are going to love it. You prob have already checked, but Erin has some really great wedding shots and the whole property in general.
  10. I would agree with the tapping and then tapping again to make sure it settles. I didn't have a corked verson, but my resort did the wax dripping for us. Maybe check with your resort on how they go about handling this. I brought a taper candle just incase, even though they said they did this. We also packed everything super tight along with bubble wrap in hopes that nothing would move. It all worked out well for us.
  11. Congrats and welcome to the forum! You will love Jamaica either in MoBay or Negril! Have fun picking and let us know!
  12. The tshirts you can order from Vistaprint. Search the threads and you will find tons of info on them. I used them for my t-shirts.. and with a sale I bought 15 for the girls and I paid 8 bucks a piece for logos and everything. As for cups, check out the threads for that too .. people like using these for OOT Bags
  13. Congrats and welcome to the forum.. we are always here if you need us! Happy Planning
  14. Your getting married at Beaches right?? Just wanted to make sure since it's not listed but I think I am right..maybe But dependant on where and which reception location you choose, and if you have videography, they have more of a set schedule on how they like to proceed with things. So making an entrance back after pictures to your reception site is different, they normally like to have you sit, have the toasts done, then work on cutting the cake, then having your dance. Even if you decide not to have a dance, it won't break any sort of rules. They (Beaches) are pretty classic in that dept of scheduling things with timelines but Avia (Wedding Attendant/Waitress is wonderful and can help you out anyway she can.
  15. We actually ended up with alot of Chachkey before we even realized it. We found ornaments in the shop on our HM. And we bought a wooden carving for the wall that has the CSA logo on it, they had a bunch of vendors on 2 of the days during the week. We got down to see him early and then ordered it up, through out the day we saw him carving and staining it. We had him put in our wedding date at the bottom in the carved sand. Beaches Resort gave us robes and t-shirts comemorating the wedding. Plus, a photo album made out of leaves, sticks, and such pressed together with a handmade cardboard like posting pages. The second I see it, I just melt.
  16. Andrea..... OMG, They are WONDERFUL!!!! I luv them! Congrats you look so happy.
  17. Tell me about it .... I am at a total loss... I love him dearly.. so I know I want something .. just nothing talking bout "kiddie" stuff... He is my Dad and has been for the past 7 years.
  18. Congrats and welcome to the forum Amanda from another Amanda and recent Negril Bride!! I was married down the way at Beaches, but when Sloan said she was doing Tropical Bay I had to attempt to check it out ... When we walked the beach to see what we could... OH MY it looks fab, all the new paint in colors of purple, peach, and pink buildings... the plant life looks to be great and not with tiny brand new plants.. everything was boarded up ... but I peeked... You are going to love it... seems to be wonderful!
  19. We are having a pretty formal type AHR this weekend for Nana and Grampy since they were not able to come to Jamaica due to both being in nursing homes.. They both are very special to Jay and I and we wanted to recreate as much as possible with them and making them feel like the day was happening for the first time. We have 104 people coming sooo I hope everything goes off without a hitch. Jay and I orig were going to fore go the whole dancing with mom and dancing with dad because my family is not around. Jay's mom asked bout this and "dad" (Jays dad) wanted to know what song we were dancing too.. this means I am going to now be dancing with Jay's dad when after he dances with his mom... Here is problem.. what kind of song do I use? I went lastnight on to weddingwire because they have tons of songs.. but I couldn't find ANYTHING even remotely daughter in law esk. Everything just went about being little and growing up with your dad stuff. Do you have any ideas about a song for me? I need to have it to the DJ by tomorrow AM so if he needs to get it off itunes he has time. YIKES!!!!!
  20. I had Pool as my main color along with watermelon... Check out my link on my flowers ... I loved how tropical and the oranges and pinks worked so well with it all. I had no idea what I was getting till I saw them. I knew I just I wanted tropical and not the normal roses or callas. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t32668
  21. I have talked in the past with both Misha Earle and Stacey Clarke. We planned on using either of them for a TTD shoot while on our HM. While looking... Misha has a really "new" feel to her about things. Her website is not tiny by all means, and pictures she sent over are really beautiful.. but she is a smaller vendor for the Negril area and her pricing is really good. Stacey on the other hand... LOVED LOVED LOVED her, Oh my her style the layout of her ideas come across so vivid when she tells you something. Stacey is alot bigger and has a higher demand on the product she offers. We ended up foregoing the whole thing because we knew we wanted to be "busy" alone together on our HM, I saw Stacey a bunch of times at our resort for weddings... Her work is wonderful and she is super reasonable... at least I think more so than others...
  22. Congrats and welcome to the forum! You are going to love Negril... The sunsets and beaches are just amazing! Where are you planning
  23. WOW that seems super high and is crazy high compared to the $300 that I paid for mine with Sea Glass Photography - Wedding, Family, Fashion, and Commercial Photography in New England . Tess was AWESOME and I couldn't be happier with my photos... 2 other girls from the forum have gone to Tess too that I know of. For the $300 I was with Tess for over 2 hrs, changed 6 times, with over 200 photos taken, this also included my book with a disk of everything shot.
  24. Hey Emily, Congrats and welcome to the forum from a Beaches Negril Bride... if you need anything just let me know. I was married on Nov 8th.
