YAY good for you!!! They have had these on the website for a while and I picked them up for my wedding too back in the summer I think ... my girls loved them and still wear them all the time now. They are super nice quality too!! Make sure you pick up a few jewelery boxes ... they only come in little clear pouches.

Beaches Negril Brides - Post here!!
2bebridejamaica replied to 2bebridejamaica's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Hey Krissy, Your post is fine and that is exactly what this thread is for.. asking questions!! Personally I loved the resort a million times over the activities, and the sheer bustle of everything going on ... in no way could you ever be bored. Yes, it is super kid friendly and Sesame Street is present, but you can have alot of adult time too it all depends on how you want to make your stay. Certain parts of the beach I noticed only adults were around on the western side.. and most of the little ones wanted to be at the water park more so than the actual ocean. The swim up bar and bandstand area was always heavily populated with adults.. (maybe this is why they have 2 pools/2 swimup bars) because this makes sense. The club at night was great.. dinner at night can be adult only too, since they have a formal adults only restuarant.. plus with all the tours/exursions.. you can do just about whatever you want. the resort somewhat splits... left is adult things... right is where all the kids are and where kids camp and is located. How many days are you spending in Jamaica?? Maybe a thought is to stay at Beaches for your wedding and then transfer to your HM with Sandals Negril. You can have a really smooth transfer to Sandals and I think you can include your whole time to actually take advantage of some of the great deals.. Like the free wedding package with 6 nights and those types of things. Changing resorts for this even just for 3 days is very popular. I also did this. We were at Beaches for 5 days Wed - Mon (all our guests left on monday too) and we actually moved right next door to Couples Swept Away for another 5 days (Mon - Sat)... We also have our 6 yr old son .. so having some real HM time was in order if you know what I mean.. LOL... Hope this helps Krissy!! -
I like the new post Jackie it's perfect to use as a Mat dress. Since she is your Matron of Honor ... are the others Bm's?? Just asking because having the MOH in a different dress I think works out well as they stand out a bit more. My girls had the same dress but in different colors.. you know that already but I think having some difference in either a style, cut, or color looks really good.

Beaches Negril Bride
2bebridejamaica replied to Nov-09-Bride's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Hey Nancy, Pricing seemed fair for us .. I will have to check as I really don't remember the cost per person as we only spent 5 days at Beaches and then another 5 days Couples Swept Away for our HM. We went up and got the concierge level at both resorts. Beaches is more expensive then any other place we looked at, but with what it had to offer it really wasn't something we thought about. Plus, with the crazy deals with the economy, I bet you are getting much better of a deal than us ... as we had already booked by this time last year. I can find out for you though.... -

K I am home now To finish Melissa's questions - The reasoning for taking the lightly upgraded cocktail hr was because well, I am paying for all this food because it is an AI and then they want more on top for stuff that I know most of my guests would prob not be interested in.. 75PP seemed just to much for me to justify and that is why I went with better upgrades for my flowers and more items in the OOT bags. I will say the Mill is a great buffet for everyone to eat at. And most of us at their every night for dinner, besides the Thursday Beach Party, and our HM dinner they offer. Andrea (jamaican WC) was beyond great and reset everything from our cocktail hr inside the resturaunt which actually I was told they prob wouldn't be able to do .. but SURPRISE they did. As for an excursion I would prob maybe think about Rick's for an off site early dinner and jumping (if you dare). Rick's was fun and I saw people of every age there. You can contact Rick's directly to set up a reservation for a table set up and get a quote from them on better pricing... in Jamaica off site places will always work with you.. so try and and you will be happy. Also, if you get to Rick's around 4ish ... when sunset hits you will have AMAZING sunsets.. but you get that at the resort too .. but it had me going to see it from the view with the cliffs. Margaritaville is small ... alot smaller than I thought.. but it was still a fun night.. we went during our HM week. They have seating, but not a ton and all the tables were rounds.. So standing and dancing is pretty much in order there with a yard glass in your hand.. LOL On another thought... which I will tell you (Miami WC Amber) will not be able to give you times for things that you really want. But all the Negril Resorts have set days for traveling to each of these hot spots.. So both places can be "hopping". Yes we went with the videography/photo package.. "The Tropical ?? Something" for 1800 I think it was. I am going to try and get it up on youtube to help everyone out to actually see the end result... I am super happy with everything ... the video makes me cry still... even after watching it with everyone at home at least a good 20 times now. Honeslty, Jay didn't want one .. he said the people who couldn't make it would just have to deal with it ... but I convinced him it was worth it when we met with Andrea and he is too very happy with the outcome. I will let you know as soon as I can attempt to get it up on you tube. I think that's it for now ... Keep on sending the questions -

YAY girls I am soooo excited for you ALL!!!!!! I have hit the post wedding hump.. so I am super excited to help you in any way that I can. Jackie - You are soooooooo welcome... I thought that my email was super long winded .. but I hope that I got it all across to you in a reasonable sense. My flip flops I actually embellished myself. I bought plain platform one from Vicki's and then went to the craft store and bought the do dads for it. Super easy to do and I have some stuff still left if you want to try your own hand at it. It was random and I found the chiffon petal ribbon before even the shoes..LOL Melissa - I saw and talked with so many of the other brides, some had wonderful private receptions and others .. well I thought honestly they were wayyyyy overdone for my liking. You can email me if you want more... But I went with the 30 min which was over an hr cocktail reception at a private location.. it was super cheap and did the trick in keeping with it feeling formal without breaking the bank... We can def go into this more!! I will bring this up later... I'm off now time to leave work.. -
I was Married at Beaches Negril and even with Sandals Negril and Beaches Sandy Bay only at most 5 minutes down the road... Sandals Negril had no transfers to Beaches Negril unless you wanted to pay for a taxi. I had guests stay at all 3 of the resorts. My Sandals guests did not mind as they grouped together when coming over to the resort... Sandy Bay is alot smaller that Beaches Negril... and they do not have a spa/salon... so this is why Beaches to Beaches got a shuttle service supposedly from my Miami WC. The shuttle ran from 8am to 10pm. But this is just my expierence with the Negril area... MoBay and OR may be different. Check with TA Jennifer too .... she is always able to help.

HELP:# of songs for the ceremony
2bebridejamaica replied to soon2bePowers's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
On our big day we had this for songs... 1 seating, 1 bride and BM walking down (she helped push my trolley), 1 Sand Ceremony, 1 for signing of the documents, and 1 for recessional. At the cocktail hr we had just our 1st dance song... but we made a CD mix of different songs for all the above and they just replayed the 12 songs on the CD through out the hr. -
Congrats and welcome to the forum!!

My BM actually picked these up for me at a shop in Springfield by her college. She saw them and they had a pair for both of us so she grabbed them. I have no idea who would carry nor at the moment the name of the brand either. But they are cute and have a great heel height. The were my frilly picture shoes.. other than that I just wanted my flip flips since I decorated them and everything was wet because of the hurricane... less slipage to worry about if I am not in Heels...

Questions about this hairstyle
2bebridejamaica replied to ~*Lisa*~'s topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Your hair is at a perfect length now actually. No stressing of having to grow it out longer either... plus your small layer will help with the lifting of the curl and add dimention to it. If you go longer than that, the base curls would have to be heavily pinned into a messy bun or rounded out in a sense to give it that look in the back. Neither I would suggest. Sorry the hairdresser in me just sorta blurted that all out.. one thing I might think about is to very lightly angle your front.. this way you get the volume and cascading effect with the curls like in the picture. That was my intended style for the wedding too. I loved the look of it all. Only problem was the hurricane and the damn wind.. we had to pull it back a bit tighter after an early morning run and I didn't get the curls I wanted.in front.. but I think my hair still worked for the day. -

OOO when I had mine ... well in the U.S. we mostly call it a Jack N Jill... I like you had a larger group and a smaller group of raffles. The $$ items we actually went with 3 for $10, and the smaller grouping we did by the arm for $8 or 5 for $5. People really like by the arm because we had trails of tickets flowing behind everyone as they walked around.. LOL
