So I need some honest opinions… My best and closest friends are my 3 sisters and my friend Jon. I’ve known Jon since we were kids and he is gay. I cannot choose one of my sisters over another to be a maid of honor and it seems most natural to me having Jon be my maid of honor. I have been tossing around the idea of having him as my maid of honor since my fiancé purposed 2 years ago. I’ve even convinced my fiancé into going with it if that’s what I decide to choose. My fiancé is totally supportive in whatever I choose. It’s pretty much come down to the decision of him being my maid of honor or not having one. Wedding wise we talked about what he would wear. My fiancé and I decided that if we do have him as maid of honor that he will wear the same outfit as the guys (it’s a beach wedding so they are wearing pants or shorts with probably a white button down polo or something. The only difference is that we will have Jon’s guy shirt be the same color as my bridesmaids dresses. So he will be wearing the guy’s outfit, but the girls colors. Do you guys think that this all sounds too weird? I’m not the conservative type by any means and it doesn’t feel weird to me. I just wanted some outside opinions before I make a final decision. Also, I would still call him my “maid of honor†right? LoL, I don’t think there is a any other special title I can give him, is there? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I am in need of some opinions. I am in the middle of trying to design my wedding monogram and I am at a point where I am indecisive about small changes. I am a big advocate of constructive criticism, so I was hoping you guys would give me your honest opinions on what I’ve got so far and if there would be anything that you would want changed. Let me know what you think and what are your likes and dislikes. Here are a few of my latest moch-ups. I am stuck on choosing between 2 different fonts. I also have looked at this so much lately it’s hard for me to notice things that could possibly look better done differently. I think my favorites right now are the bottom left and middle left. Hey everyone! I use this site all of the time at work and I plan on having this company make my customized OOT bags. They are printers that deal in wholesale, so for most of their products the more you order the cheaper the overall cost. Corporate Edge/Innerworkings Inc Just type "bags" into the search bar and there are lots to choose from.

We are going to get secretely married before we go too. I don;t want to waste a lot of my time getting blood tested and all that other stuff in Mexico. It will just be our littel secret. The real wedding for me is the spiritual ceremony anyways. I think we are going to do it barefoot, we will wear shoes down to the beach and then have a basket or something that something like "leave shoes here". I think we will have a cocktail party, dinner, then rent out the disco. I don't know for sure yet, I still have to think about things. It would be soooo cool to have the reception party outside somewhere rather than the disco. I can settle for either, a place to party down is all we really need. Have no fear!!!! (lol…hopefully) My travel agent talked to the WC and asked about the beach renovation. She said of the 2 beaches on the property, the Tucan has been completely renovated and is great again, the second beach is still under construction but should be back to normal soon. She also sent along pictures of the beach taken at the end of may, so like 3 weeks ago. I also have a slew of information about weddings at Iberostar Tucan that I will post later tonight when I get home. I’m a little of a research mongol and I’ve got hotel maps, wedding package pricing, rules and restrictions, etc.

Have you guys read about the beach problems? I really really like this resort, but the stuff I am reading on Trip advisor about the beach erosion is making me worry a little bit. I will talk to my TA and probably call someone from the resort to find out if they have already or if they are in the proccess of fixing the beach.

I think we are going to have ours at Iberostar too. We have to make a final decision in the next week or so. I'll let you know if we do Iberostar, which I have a feeling we probably will. Congratulations and good luck!!!

I was wondering if anyone has or is using destinantionweddings.com as their travel agency? I need a travel agent (like yesterday!!), and I thinking of using them. Anyone have feedback or reviews? We also are open to other recommendations for a TA proficient with destination weddings in Mexico.

Hello! My fiance and I have just decied on and started planning a destination wedding. We realized that we love the idea of gathering our closest family and friends and getting the heck out of dodge for our special day. We are having a problem still picking a destination. We have decided on Mexico or the Carribean. We are trying to find a location that is the best intrests of our guest's budget. So somewhere that is affordable but still beautiful and fun. Any advise or recommendations on location is extremely appriciated. Look forward to chatting!
