I feel like I paid a lot for mine but the cost included a lot of stuff. It was just over $600 for: 3 Hours Unlimited Outfits Makeup/Hair Fee for B&B where the photos were done (my choice) 16x20 canvas wrap 40 images in a Diva Album (photobook) 20 4x6 images in a Brag Book 1 8x10 2 5x7 4 Wallets All images in high-res on a disc Custom Card

I think the coolest famous person I ever met was Carol Channing. As a child I LOVED the movie Alice & Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass where Carol Channing played the White Queen. I always thought she was so crazy and beautiful. I met her last year when she was on our local radio program (I work for Charlotte's NPR News/Talk station) and I got to say hello and shake her hand right before she left. She was very nice, but very old and in a hurry to leave

I would love to hear your experience with the DIY etching on the glasses. FI was so sweet and etched some wine glasses for me for Christmas, but I think the glass was too thin and a couple of them ended up breaking. We were considering doing this for GM gifts as well. Everything looks so wonderful! Have so much fun

I recently went to a wedding where there was a photobooth. The couple had just rented it for the night with unlimited photos. They just asked that you cut one of the photos off of one of your strips and put it into a scrapbook with a message for them, so they could see the fun their guests were having. It was a lot of fun. The machine was VERY old and messed up a few times, but people would stand in line waiting because they wanted their pictures made. I decided to look into it for our AHR, but the prices I found locally were well over my budget for something like that. Something like $1,000 for a few hours. FI said that he would figure out a way to do it ourselves, but we shall see how far that goes But I say...if it is in your budget, your guests will love it!

Maybe just give them a sample of fabric in a color you love or tell them to find a shade of blue (or whatever color you want) and tell them to find a simple sundress that they love. Since you aren't going traditional it would work perfectly. I have seen some pictures when girls do this and it looks really cool too. Good luck! I know I'm not a photog----but I am using Magenta/Fuschia and Green as my main colors (adding some blues for the boys and some coral in my flowers). I found great (and cheap) BM dresses that I hope they can wear again. Since I chose these colors I saw BMs in beach photos in this color and it looked stunning against the blue of the ocean. I am using the beach as my decor as well, so I won't have many other places for color. Good luck!

I'm sorry you went through that. From what I can tell...especially lately...it seems that all Resort WCs are completely overwhelmed and don't come across to future brides as very nice or accomodating. My wedding is in 5 months and I have only spoken to the WC once for some pictures of the resort since I wasn't able to have a site visit. I don't think it is acceptable to be rude and I'm not making excuses for her at all, but from being on this site it seems that Resort WCs pretty much focus all their time and efforts on the weddings within a month or two and the rest, will have to wait until it is their month. That is a cute story. Little kids and their big imaginations. I love the part where they say they didn't tell their parents because "they didn't think they would be gone long!" Haha. Just think if we had married the boys we "loved" at age 6-7 YIKES! (For me anyway )

So I am about to order my BD book (had my photos done in November) and I get a custom one-sided card to go with it. I have the photo chosen (a shot of me on my back in black lace with my legs up - like pinup looking) but I can't decide what on a saying or phrase to put on the card. Has anyone done a card to go with theirs? I figured I would write a message to him on the back, but should I put Mrs. on there or ?? I plan to have a tag on the box I bring it in that says "For Will's Eyes Only" but this card will go inside the box. Help

I am booked with them as well, and have not had to put my deposit down yet either...which is fine by me I checked with her several times to make sure I was on the calendar, so you should be fine. I am looking forward to using them as well.

I just bought FI a pipe for Christmas and you would have thought he was 5 and I bought him a pony. So if he enjoys cigars, you could get him a humidor or a nice pipe. My FI was into cigars but is now in love with the pipe. And...I hate smoking haha..I'm such a good FI!!

I recently ordered my welcome bags from OT. I got these: Black Tote Bags They are definitely not the highest quality, but great for what I want to use them for and for the price. They didn't smell bad either. They are made of canvas so I hope to put my monogram on them. We decided on these because they would be fine for the guys and girls to carry them to the beach. That is just very odd that anyone would want to wear a wedding dress to someone else's wedding...very strange indeed!
