Question...could you just scoop some sand off the beach when you get to the DW? I think it would be cool to have some sand from the beach where you got married...anyone done that?

This one is kind of weird...but...here goes... My Mom's cousin Harmon has always had the same partner, ever since before I was born. As a kid, I was told that Harmon and his partner were best friends and that is why he was always at our family gatherings, etc... It took me until I was in my early 20s (I know...sad) to realize that they were actually partners, not just friends. I don't know why I didn't see it, but I guess when you think something for so long, it is hard to shake it My Oma (grandmother), who I spent a lot of time with as a child, has a very strong German accent, still to this day. So I have quite a few words that I still say wrong because I learned them from her with her German accent

I bought my tickets to see them in Charlotte I can't wait!! My Dad sent me an email this morning, though, about a couple of the final four having to go to the hospital because of dehydration Finalists 'Dance' Their Way to Hospital - AOL Television I hope they are okay...I can't wait until tonight!

I am starting to love wine more and more... I have to say I am a little obsessed with Trader Joes' 2 Buck Chuck (I should say 3 Buck Chuck, since it is now $2.99). It tastes like a nice wine and is obviously very cheap. That is what I usually buy to have with dinner during the week. I had a great reisling once that was called "St. Christina...something" I can't remember, I wish I could because it was very good. I think it wasn't our first bottle that night, hence not remembering the name of it!

I am trying to decide what dress to wear as well. I would love to wear my wedding dress, but I'm afraid I will ruin it. I want to wear it for our AHR and I don't know how it will hold up in the ocean. Here is my dress... Someone else...Becks?...has this dress, so I was hoping to see what she did for her wedding to decide what to do with my dress. It is covered in lace from top to bottom and I would hate for it to rip Any advice?

I have a strange collection. I actually collect broken elephant figures. I love elephants, always have, and it all started when I found a beautiful gray figurine that was missing a tusk. I felt bad for him because I knew no one would buy him and I thought he would represent all the elephants in the wild that look like him. Some places require it to be good for a few months after travel. I know FI's passport expires in October and we are travelling in June and my TA is suggesting he go ahead and get a new one.

So my girls and I decided to go shopping now (even though my wedding isn't until June of 09) because everyone is starting to switch over to the fall designs and summer dresses are on sale (plus, it is tax free weekend!). So we went to a few stores and found some cute dresses, but then we went in Dillards and found the jackpot. We found 5 different designs of dresses that were in the right size and right amount for my 4 girls. They tried them all on and unanimously decided on these. I think they look great on them and they were on sale for a great price. They were originally $69 and were on sale for $46, plus no sales tax...so I ended up buying them for the girls and paid $185 for all 4 of them!! I am so excited to have this off the list Does anyone know a great place to buy appliques? This dress has a beaded applique, but in dark blue and brown and another shade of blue...it will be fine, but I was thinking of replacing it with a beaded applique with maybe lime green and pink (something to tie it in with tropical flowers, etc..) Any advice? Here is a closer picture of the applique...it is about 3" tall and 2.5" wide. Yikes! That picture is huge, but I don't know how to fix it...sorry!
