It is beautiful. I love hearing about guys who are doing all the research and really trying to find something that fits the personality of their love. This ring is very similar to mine (with the pave band). I have not stopped staring at mine and I have been engaged for 7 months now She will love it!! Can't wait to hear all about it.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our wedding party is going to probably be un-even and I think that is okay. Our weddings are so non-traditional with everything else, so why follow the tradition of an even wedding party? My FI is going to wear a memory frame on is bout to remember is grandfather...maybe your FI could do this as well so that he will be by his side like he was suppose to be. Again, so sorry for your loss.

I have not heard of this. They are very pretty! It would be unique if you got these, I would just be concerned about traveling with them on the plane and what not, but if they are durable and inexpensive, then I say go for it!

We have traditions such as Scrooged on Christmas Eve and of course A Christmas Story on Christmas day...but my absolute favorite Christmas movie is definitely ELF. I could watch it year round

I think it is fine too. I worked so hard on all the details of my Passport STDs and I doubt people even read them because I had so many questions about what to do (even though it was on the STD). So I agree that we pay way more attention to everything than our guests will. No worries, at least it was that letter and not the D

We had a fun engagement party thrown by both sets of our parents at a restaurant (that had karaoke). We sent out an evite, so it wasn't a very formal occassion, but we did invite people who weren't invited to our DW. We are having an AHR when we return, so everyone who was invited to our engagement party was invited to that as well. Having said that, we didn't invite a ton of people to our engagement party. I would say we only invited 5-10 who are not coming to our DW. All of our friends and family knew that we were trying to keep our DW very small and intimate, therefore weren't inviting everyone. We did not register before our engagement party (and actually still haven't registered) because we didn't want people to bring us gifts. We actually put on the invite not to bring gifts. That is just our feelings though. I think you can do what you want!

That is very rude...I'm so sorry they did that to you. I hope you had fun at your AHR anyway.

I'm so sorry this situation is coming up, but I agree with tcram...don't worry about it yet, you will just end up making yourself sick. Let's hope he gets through recruitment and the academy has a heart and helps y'all work it out to where your wedding plans aren't harmed. Good luck with everything...keep us in the loop...you know we are here for you!

Does he enjoy cigars? If so, you could get him a humidor and have it engraved. My FI really wants one of those and since I got him a BD book for our wedding day...I am thinking of getting him the humidor for Christmas. Just an idea. Humidors*-*PremiumHumidors
