  1. Thanks Sassybride! IF you do get a response, let me know. And luckily your wedding is a year before mine so I'll see what happens with Juan I guess. Good luck with getting a response! From what I understand, she won't contact you until your wedding date is close.
  2. OK thanks guys! I guess once my photographer decides if she's staying at the resort or not, I'll contact someone at the Riu to ask for sure...
  3. How long ago did you email her? Maybe try sending another one...she has been pretty good with me (within a few days or a week I'd say...)
  4. Wow, that iPhone cake is awesome! How did you do the little buttons? I love it!
  5. Check Cabobridey's review - she used Neysa and LOVED her! Her hair and make-up looked awesome. Here are Neysa's prices: Bridal Hair $110 Bridal Make-up $85 Bridesmaid Hair $85 Bridesmaid Make-up $65 Flowergirl (Hair with a touch of Make-up) $50 Blow-out $65 Eyelash Extensions $20 In-house travel $35/ per stylist Hope that helps...
  6. Hi Riu Brides! I have a question about the photographer policy. I know that for your wedding, they make you choose from a list of photographers, but I'm staying at the Riu and not having my wedding there. Will they charge me to have my photographer come to the Riu if she's not staying there to take "getting ready" shots? And what about if my photographer does stay at the Riu as a guest...will they give her trouble about being a photographer, even though my wedding isn't at the Riu? I'm not sure who to contact at the Riu to ask these questions, so even if someone can give me some contact information, that would be amazing! Thanks girls Heather
  7. That sounds cool! I'm gonna have to check to see if we have it at home too...

I thought for sure Howard & Beth got married last week!?! He said it was coming soon! I still cannot believe he's getting a "B" tattoo. Just seems like something he would totally make fun of after his whole divorce rants in the past. Yeah I heard they were doing one ceremony in the Hamptons, and then a bigger one in October? I can't believe he's getting the B tattoo either...but maybe he just doesn't feel right wearing a ring again after the last one? Who knows. Howard can be weird sometimes.

Did you look for a dress? Are you going to be back? Would love to hear about your photo shoot. Best Kathy We had a BLAST in NYC! We just shopped, ate (a lot), went to a Yankee game, and just generally walked around. It's what we love to do there The photo shoot was fun...we just kinda let the photographer guide us but we had a couple of ideas ourselves (the graffiti for sure, and the street shots). I didn't get to look for a dress while I was there...there just wasn't really enough time. I hope we can go back soon but it probably isn't in the cards since we're saving for the wedding and also furniture for our new place. But our good friend is going for a job interview there on Friday so if he gets the job and moves there, I'm sure we'll be visiting again soon because we'll have a free place to stay! Plane tickets are cheap...it's the damn hotel that gets you!
  10. We just started Nixon on a raw diet yesterday. We're really optimistic about it, so I'll keep you guys posted if it works out for us (he has horrific allergies and we're hoping this is going to help...plus it's organic so apparently it's much better for dogs all around). Fingers crossed!

Booo...Artie was on heroin, for the past 2-3 months. I'm glad he decided to get help. I hope he can get sober and stay that way this time!
  12. I would be interested in placing an order too...what company did the girls use last time?
  13. When I was at Ritche last month they had a full rack of "destination dresses." So try there too! It's on Avenue just south of Lawrence.
  14. Congrats Erin! That's great news!
  15. Congrats Maura and Jose! Wishing you all the best today! Can't wait to hear about it and see pics when you return

  17. For me it's the Chips a Hoy ice cream sandwiches. I haven't been able to find them in about 4 years so I assume they were discontinued...? I found one kinda similar in Central Park in some dude's ice cream cart, but they keep it cold with dry ice so it didn't even taste like ice cream anymore
  18. Eeek! At least she gave you lots of warning. I don't know about there, but here in Toronto you can find companies/people that will actually come to your house and house-sit your pet while you're gone. I know it's hard to trust them, but maybe if you start out using them as a dog-walker (I'm assuming it's for dogs?), that way you can establish a relationship? And make sure it's a reputable company. Just an idea....? We just sent our guy to a "dog camp" while we were in NYC. There are NO crates there...they have their own room with a bed in it kinda like a hotel room, and they play outside in the yard all day. He was the most tired I've ever seen him when we got home! And we didn't feel guilty at all because we knew he wasn't in a crate (he flips out when he goes in crates too).
  19. Thanks everybody! I probably have better ones but it was hard to sort through 444 and just pick out a few. If I find any other cool ones I'll post them Quote: Originally Posted by yamille These are great shots! Where you in Union Square park? I like the graffiti one the best. super cute. The photog came up with the location ideas but we kinda told him what we wanted them to look like (graffiti was a must and I think those are our faves...there are a ton of them!)
