  1. I ran 6.62Km this morning. Trying to start stepping it up a notch!
  2. Have a great time! Make sure to share all the details and pics when you get back!
  3. WTF...it's pre-empted next week, so the next episode isn't on until Wed Oct 1! Ouch! But it's finals week already...I love how they flew through the audition weeks. They aren't as fun. 2 weeks is SO long to wait though
  4. Your dress is so pretty! And the cap sleeves make it extra unique. You look great!

  7. I love the Popeye and Olive Oyl idea! I think FI and I might do that this year... We didn't do anything for Halloween last year because we were in Cabo, but the year before that we dressed up as Kelly Kapowski and Zack Morris from Saved by the Bell. It was pretty funny because FI is bald so he wore this hilarious blonde wig, and I made him a HUGE cell phone out of a shoebox and tinfoil. I got a long brunette wig with bangs and carried around a volleyball, and we both had the "Bayside Tigers" t-shirts. I don't have a pic though sorry
  8. The big picture one might have something to do with inflation though right? But yeah, over-all, if you're in things for the long run, no need to panic. Morgan your post made me feel a bit better
  9. The only one I've read is 4 Blondes...I thought it was alright, but I think I expected it to be as good as SATC (the show) so of course I was disappointed. Boo. I hope she doesn't make this book suck. Maybe Michael Patrick King or whatever his name is, and the writers of the show, should actually be the ones to write the book!
  10. I just saw this posted online, and I'm SO excited about it! Too bad we have to wait 2 years to read it... Sex and the City Author to Write About Carrie Bradshaw's Teen Years WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 17, 2008 Craig Blankenhorn/Newline.Wireimage.com Buzz up! Sex and the City fans are going back to high school! Candace Bushnell, the author of the column that became the hit series and movie, is writing a teen novel about Carrie Bradshaw's adolescence, HarperCollins announced Wednesday. See unforgettable photos of Carrie's crazy couture. "I've always been interested in exploring Carrie's teenage years," Bushnell said in a statement. "Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd - she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene." The novel, part of a two-book deal, is due for global publication in fall 2010. "We are incredibly thrilled," said Alessandra Balzer of HarperCollins' Balzer & Bray imprint. "Teenagers are rabid fans of the Sex and the City book and show. I can't wait to see what happens when Candace turns her sharp eye for social commentary to the other competitive jungle that is high school." Bushnell is also the best-selling author of Four Blondes, Trading Up, Lipstick Jungle (currently an NBC hit) and One Fifth Avenue, due out this month.

  18. Just found this online: Lehman Brothers make history Lehman Brothers made history Monday with the largest bankruptcy filing ever, Mike Bickford of Jupiter eSources said Monday. The 158-year-old firm, which has US$639 billion in assets, employs about 25,000 people worldwide. Bickford said the next biggest bankruptcy on record was by Worldcom Inc., which had US$126 billion in assets. Enron Corp. had US$81 billion in assets when it filed for bankruptcy. Lehman Brothers' demise, which was caused by US$60 billion in soured real estate holdings, comes just six months after the collapse of Bear Stearns. Meanwhile, Bank of America said in a statement Monday it would acquire Merrill Lynch & Co. in an all-stock transaction worth about US$50 billion. Merrill Lynch was hit hard by the 14-month-old credit crisis, which saw home values plummet and mortgage defaults rise. "A lot of people are getting burned," Lorraine Tan, director at Standard & Poor's equity research in Singapore, said Monday. "It's better to get this out of the system. Hopefully for the U.S. this could be it as far as potential failures of investment banks."
  19. I haven't seen Cast Away either, LOL. I think I tried watching it once and got really bored so I went and did something else. Pulp Fiction was good! Weird, but good. Uma Thurman looks sooo much younger in it.
  20. We watched Smart People this weekend...it was OK. I know why people say it's slow, because it definitely is, but the story is kinda cute. I didn't want to kill myself for watching it or anything, but it wasn't amazing. We also watched Pulp Fiction because I had never seen it before. The girl at the movie store couldn't believe that! Especially since I worked at a movie store in high school for 4 years right around the time Pulp Fiction came out...not sure how I missed it. I was probably too into girly movies and N Sync concerts back then, lol.

The seamstress had to put boning in the top because the material was bunching around my stomach....the plus with that is I don't have to wear a bra!!! Yipee! Lol. Mine was bunching too! With the sash though I don't think you'll be able to notice. But not having to wear a bra would be huge...I'm gonna consider this!
  22. Kaylee, did you have the crinolin underneath removed? It looks WAY better in your pic and less poofy than mine at the bottom. I'm ordering it with one of the crinolins removed but your pic makes me think I should get both taken out? Is that how yours came originally?

I think the belt was too "metropolitan" and not really suitable for a beach wedding. I'm replacing that belt with a sash with 3 white flowers on it (I needed something around to accentuate my waist, but you have a much nicer waist than I do, haha). Wooo we're dress twins! Casey if you want to see the belt let me know and I can send you a pic of me wearing it.
