  1. Sorry to hijack, but Natasha, we're arriving at the Riu Palace on Oct 19/09! Looks like we're *just* going to miss you!
  2. I'm surprised with a lot of these actually! I guess some of the "unusual" names aren't so unusual anymore. My niece's middle name is Makenna - I can't believe that's on the list! #86 but still. I don't know any other girls with that name.
  3. If you want to wear heels after the ceremony, you can always get those wedge flip flops so that your dress won't be too long without the heels or too short with the heels. That's what I plan on doing (my ceremony is on the grass so I don't want my heels to poke in). I think wedge heels are pretty ugly but I'm hoping nobody will see them for the 10 mins I have them on!
  4. It's going to be really really hard for me to change my name, but I'm going to do it. I'm very close with my family, and I have 2 brothers who are both married, so everyone has my last name. Leaving that name behind is going to be tough big time for me. But at the end of the day, I don't want to have a different last name than my kids. So I'll do it! I'm hoping it will get less weird as time goes on. Also I know FI would be super pissed (well, sad I guess) if I didn't take his last name. It's important to him. I'm going use my maiden name in one of my children's names (probably as a middle name). I've also considered getting rid of my middle name as it is now (Elizabeth, which I don't really care for) and putting my maiden name as my new middle name. I know some people that are doing that and I kinda like it! If I don't, my new initials are going to be HEE! How ugly!
  5. Wow, that is amazing! I'm totally going to check that place out - we might consider it for our honeymoon. Thanks for posting!

I tried contacting Fun & Motivation twice for a quote but I didn't get a response either time. I just tried emailing Alejandra directly (thanks Leia!) so hopefully I'll hear back from her...
  7. Golf is pretty expensive in Cabo but the courses are amazing! I got a price list for some of the courses a couple of months ago. PM me with your email address if you want me to send it to you.
  8. Welcome from another Toronto bride! There are lots of great ideas here
  9. OK I totally couldn't see any torrents. Do you just enter the font name in the search box like you would if you were looking for a song? Nothing came up
  10. Lindsey - what month is your wedding? Hawaii is usually good all year but I think there are good and bad months for Tahiti and Fiji...

  12. That is so cute! You guys have a cute story but it's even cuter in his words! Love it. I'd like to know how he gets the good inventory counts of Barbie Dolls when mine were all in lumber yards and doing oil dips. Ugh - the memory is making me want to cry!
  13. Ashli keep us posted on your results! I want to try this but I'll wait to see what you think of it first. How much weight are you going to use for hand weights? I'll need to buy those too since I don't have any. I would love to lose 5 lbs in one month!
  14. OK awesome! I'll see if I can catch up tonight! FI is away all week so it's perfect timing for some guilty pleasure tv...
  15. I agree with Becks. No problem to go on the vacation but just tell them it's a no go for the actual wedding portion.
  16. REALLY?! I haven't watched it yet because I was kinda over the Hills...but if it's better, I might have to give it a shot! But I've already missed a few eps, dammit.
  17. I think we are going to register only for the purpose of the bridal shower. We're telling all of the wedding guests that gifts are not necessary, and there won't be enough on the registry for everyone to buy something anyway (we pretty much have everything so we might just register for new dishes and glasses and some towels), so hopefully anyone who feels like giving a gift for the wedding will give cash. Fingers crossed! I don't think there's really a polite way to say that you want cash. If anything, just spread the word to your parents/wedding party so that if anyone asks them, they can suggest cash as a good gift for you.

Other sites with free fonts include urbanfonts.com (you have to specifically select the free ones), webpagepublicity.com/free-fonts.html (searchable only alphabetically) and 1001fonts.com. One that I did see that was sort of close was called Quiggly Wiggly. Thanks so much Becks! I'll check all of those! I'll try that when I get home tonight. Great idea. Thanks

It's amazing! I really love it. It dries your hair waaaay faster and my hair doesn't feel as damaged (although I've only been using it for about a week and a half).
  20. FI just told me about it! I can't say I'm surprised, as usual. Robin probably feels so cool because she was the only one who thought he was lying this time. I'm sad...I love Artie.
  21. Congrats girls! Well deserved by both!
