It's SO MUCH less expensive, which is really the only reason I'm considering it. I LOVE everything about the Imperial Suite but when I saw the difference in prices (even just the open bar costs alone are so different), it made me realize I have to consider this as an option. I just really don't want our ceremony at the ME so I don't know what to do. Thanks for your input everyone!

I'd be pissed. What she's doing is really not fair and I'd call her out on it for sure. As for picking a new MOH, I wouldn't pick a new one. Your BM's can do all of the parties. Maybe just pick one who is better at organizing/co-ordinating and tell her she's going to be the co-ordinator BM! She can get the emails going etc about your parties but I'm sure all of the girls will take part!

My WC told me that the reception part is totally private. It's just the ceremony part that isn't (there would be people all over on the beach). Do you have any pics from there Jess? My WC sent me some but I wasn't incredibly impressed, I think I need to see more. I wish we could go on a site visit!

Has anybody had their wedding here? I've heard reviews of people who have stayed here, but I've never actually read about someone holding their wedding here, and my WC just recommended it as a great place to have a party. I'd love to hear from anyone who has any info! Thanks!

I got my dress at Ritche on Avenue Rd just north of Lawrence. They had an entire rack of all destination dresses...not sure on the prices though. I think the prices were probably pretty good.

I totally know what you mean. Sometimes I get crap from FI because we're spending money on things for the wedding that he thinks only matter to me. But trust me, if he showed up to the wedding and it was a crappy party, he'd be pissed! Sometimes the guys just expect everything to be perfect and wonderful and don't want to pay for it. If they were more involved in planning I'm sure they'd see how hard it is to balance budget and having a nice time for your guests. Usually when FI gets like that I just say "OK so can you give me some ideas on how we can change things or cut costs" and he usually just looks at me blankly. Then he shuts up.

I have to say I love my adidas shoes (I have the supernova also) and it's not only because my FI works there and I get them for free! They are the best running shoes I've ever had. I used to have Nike Shox before we started dating and they always gave me blisters in my arches. I've had no issues with the adidas ones though! I say adidas all the way!

Bridetobe2010, I was searching a trip to Dreams out of Toronto in late March and it was coming up around $2250. I haven't really found anything much cheaper than that.

I've been researching this quite a bit, and we've narrowed it down to Moorea...either the Sheraton, the Sofitel, or the Pearl (which seems to have the most reasonable rates).

Wow you guys, you've totally convinced me! I can't seem to get used to how to use it though. Casey how do you do the color-coding thing?! I would LOVE that feature! I'm so excited to use it now but it's under my new last name which I won't have for like another 8 1/2 months so I kinda can't...bummer.

So I want to reserve a new email address with my new last name, and I'm not sure whether to use hotmail or gmail. I have a hotmail account now, and I like it, but I've noticed that a lot of people are using gmail these days, so I thought I'd check to see if any of you ladies have used both, and which you prefer? Any input??
