You look like you have such confidence!!! I'd love to do it and that way I could keep my hair shorter..... I cut it off in September but have since started growing it out again since we're getting married next July. We'll see though! I'll have to experiement. Tell him to apply it once the hair is dry... if it gets to thick have him wet his hands. FI said if his hair is not staying up... use a small flat iron and that will do the trick for sure... I say do it, its your wedding day!!! You will feel like a princess

By the sounds of it they do a good job though! L x Sounds about right...I would definitely ask for the 30% discount. I was able to get it, they add the dance floor and the DJ together then give you the 30%
  4. I just wanted to share my experience using Carlos with DJ Mannia. At first I must admit I was a little hesitant using him considering the amount of money we were going to spend on a DJ and illuminated dance floor. MY FI thought I was crazy but I was set on hiring him after reading such good reviews. Well, his reputation stood true. He was very cooperative with me from the first email to the day I arrived and he called me to go over everything. I sent him a list of songs that I wanted played during the reception and he played everything. There was NEVER a dull moment at my wedding. He announced cake time, toast, garter and bouquet toss. My husband found a special song that hasnt been recorded yet that he wanted to dance with his mother and he was able to upload it and he played it for him and his mother. I would recommend Carlos to anyone looking for a DJ his work is amazing, he played Spanish, English; everything was danceable, there was never anyone sitting down. The illuminated dance floor was worth it also... I am attaching a picture of it. If anyone wants any further information on him just PM me. Thank you Carlos for making my wedding such a memorable one. Carlos also provided me with a copy of my songs in a cd and I just though that was the icing to the cake. I listened to it on my way to work this morning and it brought back so many memories of cancun. Thank you once again

Would this set be available to everyone because my only problem with the sand ceremony is hauling the vases there?? The Aloe Vera is a MUST.... Everyone will be grateful. lol. Well most of the drinks they had there were like milky, like bahama mamas, mango margaritas blended... anything blended with milk was a nono. lol So get drinks on the rocks without milk. lol Those blended drinks really dont get much alcohol in them so make sure you order double shots on all your drinks. There is a drink in the back bar that is called a spicy mango margarita with salt on the rim... tastes like candy it was soo yummy I loved it but most of my guests drank cadillac margaritas and those were the only ones who were able to get anyone buzzed. I took candles for my ceremony but Im sure if you take just the sand, Claudia can lend you what she loan me... they were pretty and then you can just bring your sand home in a ziplock bag. I didnt have sand so my color sand was blue... Let me see if I can find a pix and post it Also, they close the pool at 6pm... they kick everyone out!! But the jacuzzi is open 24 hours.. we did notice that security turned off the heater in the jacuzzi at 12am though to kick us out but we complained and they turned it back on supposedly. Although, the water never got hot again!

GO GIRL, GO GIRL, GO GIRL.... *SINGING* Also, make sure you request colored napkins for your wedding. I think there $1.50 each from the hotel. Have them fold them over your plate.. soo pretty! also CAKE LETTERS... get some letters to place around your cake table, its looks beautiful and classy

Congrats! phillybride, i've been slapping together the last-minute stuff, so it's not at all what i'd planned, but it's *sort of* getting done. Welcome brochure became just a card, that sort of thing. I started packing last night and was amazed at how much crap there is, when i know i made a point of not buying big or heavy things for oot bags, lol. I leave saturday!!!!! Aaaaaahhhhhh!!! do not overpack... I lived in three sumnmer dresses and a pareo/cover up all week literally. There is a little shop by the pool that sells cover ups for $11.00 i bought a white one and a black one and i lived in them all week till night, then changed for dinner.... Make sure you take some type of aloe vera for your skin if you burn because the sun is hot hot hot and if you burn you need that to sleep comfortably... Good luck!! And bty, there were no coco locos available the entire week... No coconuts available... Booooo!! Drinks were kinda watered down also, my guests started to drink cadillac margaritas with an extra shot and that did the trick after the fourth day of being there... Everything else gave everyone the runs. Rofl!!!!!

So it was a little over 10,000.00 all together including the tips for the DJ, photographer, and WC

I bought two huge pillars to light and it was not going to happen. So last minute, Claudia put together the sand ceremony set and gathered sand up for me.. it was beautiful.

I love all flowers honestly not really picky.. Did your Bridesmaids buy their dresses at BEBE too? They look sooo much like my girls.. We didnt know what to do about shoes and now thanks to your picture we are def. getting silver shoes!! I also have the Fuschia shoes for myself your my wedding Idol..hahaha PS how was the swine situation down there?? God knows Im still hearing about it on my end!! Either way you looked great and your pictures looked awesome so I know you guys all had a blast!! THERE IS NO SWINE FLU down there and everyone down there laughs about it. The girls dresses were bought at the Outlet for under $30.00, and their silver shoes were from Michael Antonio, under $30.00. My shoes are Christian Louboutin those were $400.00, I know I splurged. Those will be sold on ebay soon. For your flowers, why dont you do white flowers and add hot pink fillers to them?? and a hot pink satin bow. Its really not difficult, you just buy a bunch of flowers, put them together tie them up with some green tape they sell at Michaels and then wrap them up with satin ribbon. I was also thinking of being creative and having them carry white wooden letters but I had to many girls to do that. I DO!! and just decorate the letters with ribbons. Would look so cute in pictures

I joked around with her and I negotiated EVERYTHING to the tea. I even asked her if I paid for everything in cash would I get a discount? lol She gave me 30% off the DJ and dancefloor together and then she cut my price again for the extra timing that I wanted at the end of the reception. She was super nice, I think being nice to her and joking and tipping really pays off. She did mention that alot of brides email her like 6-9 times a day and she gets overloaded with emails, I told her I would tell everyone to cut it down to two and she just laughed. Seriously, everything can get done there in like 30 minutes. She recommended alot of things to add to the wedding but within my budget, little things that would make it look pretty without the cost. I ended up paying less than 6000.00 for the entire wedding, including DJ, dance floor, 36 people, extra extended hour, hair, makeup, massages on the beach, list goes on.... Like I said I have the entire breakdown if anyone needs it...

She gave me an exchange of makeup, hair, videographer and photographer for the three centerpieces, but once I tipped her I got the videoagrapher, hair, makeup for mom and a deal with dj..now that I think about it. lol I have my file with all the prices and information if anyone needs me to be exact

I love the idea of the big flower, please give me details as I have been racking my brain since i have 8 bridesmaids and all need bouquets which are pretty $$.. If you dont mind telling me where you got them if it was here or from the hotel? Congrats again and wish you all the best!! Cant wait to see more pictures!! I made those bouquets out of flowers from Michaels and fillers.... Then I purchased ribbon and wrapped it around the handle and tied a big bow. What colors are you doing with fuschia? Maybe I can help you with your bouquets.. What is your favorite flower?
  22. Well when we got there we left notes for everyone, and instructed the guy at the check in to please hand them out and he did. We had guests coming in at all times and it was a special touch. Just 2 simple sentences. The details like fans and stuff, we did out here and I just packed them. The centerpieces, I showed Claudia a picture and she worked with it. She also gave me a boutonniere for my dad and one for my son and 2 corsages for the mothers. I had a pretty simple wedding not alot of detail but everything can be discussed within 30 minutes of being with her I didnt hand out OOT Bags. I just handed out the small notes in envelopes that said welcome to Cancun. Thank you for coming out to celebrate this special day/week with us. You mean the world to us.. Now get your bikinis on and come have a bahama mama with us in the pool

I can't see your pics from work, but I can't wait to get home to check them out I have a question about the CD you made for your ceremony music, did you just make one CD and label which song was for what? I was going to make diff CD's with one song each on them, just so they wouldn't get mixed up. Anyway...Thanks again for the review and I am so happy you had such a great time:-) Make one cd. Put the songs in order. Claudia will stand with you and has a walkie talkie and she is communicating with the sound guy. She tells him when to play what songs. With me she said play song 1 then she told him stop, I need the bride song now because she is coming and he played it... it sounded very smoothe. I say put them in order in one cd dont do too many.
