  1. I say: Buy those hot sexy heels in red, and also bring something flatter as an alternative. The "worst" that could happen is you end up wearing the back up shoes. I don't think you'll have a problem.
  2. There's work and there's life....Life's far more important...I know we all have bills and like it or not, most of us have to work. BUT...If you put everything in writing and they still say "no" I would tell them to F*** off! I can't imagine them not giving you the time off, especially your wedding! Keep us posted
  3. Our centerpieces http://www.boandandrea.com/assets/images/ornaments/
  4. MMMM YUMMY sign me up!!!!!! Definetely gonna try this one out!
  5. Welcome to the Forum!! Happy Planning
  6. I am 100% happy with our choice. Like the other girls said, the price was a GREAT deal, and we fell in love with the hotel
  7. I'd say wear whatever best fits your personality. We just did our E-pics yesterday (I will post pics tonight) and they were taken outside in a beautiful canyon. I actually wore a cute purple dress, then swiched outfits half way thru to jeans and a black shirt. FI wore jeans and brown shirt. I LOVE the pictures and am so glad I decided to change clothes. We have more cute looking pictures in the dress, and HOT pictures in the black shirt LOL ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Sorry about the whole cow tipping thing, I was TOTALLY KIDDING and being sarcastic. That's just my personality...I am basically saying that there isn't a whole hell of a lot to do in Iowa. I'm sure though in Des Moines there are bars, movie theatres, and bowling atleast. Even the tiny town my mom's from has a bowling alley. You might have to get creative! Just enjoy the warm nights, and catch some lightning bugs or something.
  9. I DEFINETELY have a dog trapped in a cats body. We rescued Benjamin (grey tabby cat) about 1 1/2 years ago from the Dumb Friends Leauge. He was 6 months old when we got him, and I swear he acts more like a dog every day. He follows me everywhere, fetches mice and brings them back over and over, loves to be pushed around in clothes baskets, even runs to the door when the door bell rings. The thing he goes CRAZY for is Ring-Pops. This cat will beg and beg for them, paw at the drawer I keep them in, and once he gets a taste, he gripps my hands for dear life with his claws and liks like he's never tasted anything so delicious. I think we could win $$$ LOL. I could go on and on about this cat. I don't have a CLUE why anyone would get rid of this cat. I'll never forget the day he reached his paw out for me at the pound. He's been SPOILED ROTTEN EVER SINCE!
  10. Ask your library also. I think they throw away past issues (used to anyway) Maybe you could take them off their hands instead?
  11. I LOVE Yachats!!! I lived there back in High School. What a cute little coast town
  12. Honestly, I have never been cow tipping, (I was just being stereotypical) Sorry lol....So, do they actually push over a cow I'm curious now lol
  13. You mean the wedding I presume? May I ask why?
  14. I live right outside of Denver and I'll tell you this. Boulder is a beautiful little "hippie town" It's very close to the foothills and since there is the University nearby, there are a lot of students who reside there. There's a lot of culture there, it's definetely more laid back, about 45 mins from Denver, and has MANY hiking trails that will take your breath away.
  15. Hmmm....Gaze upon corn fields, cow tip, gaze upon more corn fields.....hehe...My mom is from Iowa and our family has been back there atleast 100 times. She's from a very small town near Des Moines where there's NOTHING to do. I'm sure they have bowling, bars, clubs and stuff like that in Des Moines for you to do. Have fun!
  16. I voted for 1 but also liked 3 a lot. I would narrow it down to 1 and 3. You look FABULOUS in all of them
  17. Welcome to the Forum! Happy Planning! You will love it here!
  18. The welcome letter is a good place for hotel info, restaurants at the hotel, Agenda for guests (if you have one) Maybe some fun facts about why you chose your location? A lot of the additional stuff only applys to out of the country weddings. Try this: Get a blank sheet of 8 1/2x 11 white paper and fold it into 3rds. You can sort of "chicken scratch" a rough draft and see what looks good and how much room you have. If you have too much room left, and have all the info you can think of on there, try adding some pictures or fun fonts to take up space Also, another bride on here did the whole back of the welcome brochure a "meet the guests" section. She had a little blurb about each one and how they knew the bride and groom. Good luck!
  19. Awww, it looks like you guys had a GREAT time!!!!! Sometimes you just need to GET AWAY...
