Girl, you sound just like me 2 months ago. In fact the most stressful part of this whole wedding planning thing was the 1st week after we announced the engagement. OMG I had people left and right just assuming they were invited. One of my sisters friends heard the word MEXICO and was like "oh yeah, I'll definetely need a vacation, see you there." I was completely floored at the audacity of some people. My best advice is nip it in the butt early and make it clear in a nice way that it means a lot to you to have your wedding on the beach no matter what. People will always have a "better" idea about your location, or about how your wedding should be. Don't let any of that get in your way. Remember, you only get to do this once and you will regret it if you settle for anything less. They can do whatever they want on their own wedding day and need to stay out of yours. Especially when you are having an AHR when you return where they can all be present. Try not to stress, and like I said just stick to your guns about whatever plans you want.

Yikes, Can they put you on a wait list or something in case one opens up?

I would call it your "remodeling fund" or something. There's nothing wrong with asking for gift cards. We decided to do a honeymoon registry on our website. It's called our "honeymoon fund" We aren't actually having a set "honeymoon" in Mexico, but are using the $ to do fun things in the area (swim with dolphins, snorkeling tours ect) It's your day, do what you want!!!!!!

Here is the veil I made.It's a little wrinkled, but will straiten out http://www.boandandrea.com/assets/images/veil/ *Please excuse the "I look like I just woke up pictures" LOL! I have never sewn anything in my life so I was a little nervous but...I am actually very happy with how it turned out. I can't lie, it was a little time consuming, but that's because I sewed a cord to match my dress all the way around the entire veil. If you choose not to have a cord, you can make it in a lot less time. Items I used: tulle white thread sewing needle wire comb beads to match dress (optional) cord to match dress (optional) sharp scissors Cost-$15.00 Step 1: Look around at styles and lengths of veils you like. If you google "how to make a veil" you can find very easy instructions in regards to length and how much tulle to use. I just eye-balled it and didn't use instructions; the choice is yours really. Step 2: Lay tulle out on a flat surface (one that isn't white) Step 3: Cut the tulle to your desired length. (mine is just a simple 1 layer veil) Again, veil instructions can give you more detailed info on adding layers and blushers.) Step 4: Sew a running stitch along the straight edge. About 3 inches inside of the edge, using a needle and heavy white thread, sew all the way across the veil. After sewing, hold the thread at one end and push the tulle together to gather it. Step 5: Wrap either tulle or cord around your wire comb, and sew ends to hold. (You can add beads to the top after you stitch the veil to comb) Step 6: Attach the tulle to the comb by stitching. Simply stitch the tulle to the comb by bringing the stitches through the material, then between the teeth of the comb. Make sure the tulle is attached completely. You can now sew cord around it, add small beads to it, or just leave it as is! *I read they don't recommend gluing beads to the veil because they can smear and melt off, but all the ones at David's bridal were glued. I guess as long as you don't use too much and let the glue dry, it should be fine. I only added beads to the comb part and left everything else plain. * The hardest and most expensive material to find was the wire comb. I purchased it at Michael's in the wedding section, and cut off all the decorations on it and started from scratch. Girls, if I can do it then ANYONE can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the video is the most important thing to you then tell them that, and fill the rest of the package in with the photography. Tell him you absolutely want the entire wedding video, but are willing to have less pictures. Maybe they can work something out for you.

I've known dogs to roll in some nasty stuff but I looked over and Harvey was spitting a worm out of his mouth, then began rolling like crazy in it. It had this extremely odd smell to it and he was covered in worm guts YUCK I had to go give him a bath right away! He's the cutest little yorkie mix and only weighs 9 lbs, but DAMN he finds the funkiest stuff to roll in :/ Anyone else have rollers?

We are getting married here in Denver first, then having the ceremony in Mexico a week later.

David's bridal. I guess it depends what you consider "cheap" but you can definetely find one there for around $100.00
