  1. Welcome! Sandals is having a one day preview for $149 per person to fly to Jamaica, have a day of fun in the sun, and fly back. Check out the Sandals section for more info.

However we had a guest at our wedding who was in a wheelchair (able to stand up and get into the trolley) and she was perfectly fine. The trams pick up every where and run around pretty regularly. He should be fine. Great! Thank you so much. John's grandparents have been wonderful to me, and I've never really had any grandparents of my own (my only living grandparent died when I was six). So, choosing a resort that is easy for his grandfather to get around in is a top priority to me and to John.

And then I clicked on the wedding of Leanne and Dann (My name is LeAnne) and they highlighted the "I, Leanne, take you..." part and I just started bawling! Does anyone have a full price list for their pictures/videos? I didn't see one on the website.

I really want to do this, but I feel guilty because it's Christmas time and I should be focusing all of my $$ towards buying presents instead of having romantic trysts in Jamaica with my fiance. :-)
  5. This is just one day? Do you even stay the night? If not, how early do you have to get up and how late do you leave?
  6. It doesn't matter to us as much which restaurant as it does the ability to have as many people as we want without extra $$$. I have no idea how many people are going to want to attend, but I want to be able to invite everyone we want without worrying that over 25 people is going to cost us an arm and a leg per guest.
  7. Okay, awesome! Thanks for the info. Do you think that there's a max allowed in a particular restaurant? I have no idea how many of our friends and family are going to want to show up, but I want to be able to just invite everyone we'd like to have there and not worry about lots of extra costs. Also, I've read a lot about how big the resort is and how there's a shuttle that takes you around. My grandfather-in-law to be isn't able to walk far, but my fiance says that he can get on and off a shuttle with little or no problem. How easy is it to get the shuttle? Is it centrally located? And does it run often enough to not make it a pain in the butt? Also, is it only the a la cartes there are far enough away to need the shuttle? Or is everything really spread out?
  8. Do you guys know if it's possible to have more than 25 guests for the dinner without booking a private package or going to the buffet? If so, is it extra? And how much extra?
  9. Hi Guys... I've been looking through the pages, but I had a question about the wedding packages/meals. If you don't have a private reception, is there a limit on the number of people which are included in the package? I know that more than 15 people and you have to have a set menu, but is there a limit on how many people they can accommodate without an extra charge? If so, does any one know what the extra charge is? Thanks in advance... I'm putting together a spreadsheet on all the resorts we're considering so we can choose!

Do you think it would look weird to have the silk underneath be a different color from the ruching and the lace? P.S. I bought the dress. I got it at an additional 10% off, because the bottom of the back of the one dress left in my size is slightly dirty. I figure that if I find bridesmaid dresses that I like, I'll dry clean it. Otherwise, it's my TTD dress. Thank you everyone for your help, by the way. It helped me realize that I HAD to get the dress. I'm not sure if it'll let you see the link below (I have it protected so my fiance can't view it on Facebook), but this is me in the dress at the store. This one is a size too big, so I'm trying to gather it in the back so it would look more like it would if it fit. THE Dress!
  11. Oh... and my dress is only $180 on clearance. I have to order it ASAP, otherwise I might not be able to get it anymore.
  12. So, I found the dress I want. The only problem is that it doesn't fit with the bright blue bridesmaid dresses I was planning on getting. Jessica McClintock - STYLE NO. - 52466 JEANETTE The rose colored sash is a lot more muted than the pool or aruba blue color that I wanted for the girls. The original colors we were going to have were a bright pink, bright blue, and a champagne color. The dress I was thinking of for them is below. David's Bridal - Bridesmaids, Dress Detail Does anyone have a suggestion for a bridesmaid dresses that would look nice but not overpowering compared to mine? Or do you think I should scrap my dress and look for a new one?</html>
  13. What a beautiful wedding! I love that you did a foot washing ceremony. Where did you get your bridesmaid dresses from?
  14. Was the Iberostar Grand better than Moon Palace? Would you have rather have had your wedding there? If so, was it price that was the main factor?
  15. Welcome! I'm in the same boat. I'm wondering if anyone has a price comparison list that they came up with while choosing.
  16. Does anyone know if you can get VS's 7 in 1 dress? I'm not seeing it on their site right now, and I think it might be a Spring Only type of deal.
  17. Hi everyone, I joined this forum a while ago to browse through ideas and offer support, but now I've got a story of my own! Oddly enough, John and I met at a bar. I had gone out with one of my friends, and introduced myself to John and several of his friends. Later that evening, he came over to talk to me and asked for my name again. Being the sassy thing that I am (and not being someone who would normally pick a guy up at a bar), I told him that my name was "Bob." Since it obviously isn't, I also told him that if my name were important to him, he would have remembered it the first time I told him. I continued to frequent this particular bar on Tuesdays (Open Mic night) and ran into John every week. We began to talk over drinks, and then met up weekly. Eventually we would close the place down and sit outside and talk until I couldn't feel my feet anymore. After a couple months of getting to know one another and building a mutual interest, we began to spend a little time outside the bar. I invited him to my birthday party, he invited me over to his friend's house for a movie night and out to the "Big E" which is the New England Fair. One Saturday, he and his friend invited me to meet them for a night out on the town. His friend ended up having to play Designated Driver for a group of heavily intoxicated girls, so I offered to drive John home. I drove in the general direction of where we both lived, but when he never gave me specific directions to his house, I took him to my apartment. I insisted that he watch the first Season of 24, as I knew he would like it as much as I do. When we didn't finish it that night, he came over the next night and put in the second season while I slept on the couch (this was the point I knew he was a keeper ;-)). He continued to come over night after night for 24 marathons, and eventually never left. We began to take vacations together (Dreams Tulum was our first). Six months later, we bought a house together. Almost 28 months after our initial meeting, we decided to take our first cruise together on the Crown Princess. Our ship left Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday, November 9th. We met up with some friends from the Cruise Critic Boards, watched the ship leave, and toured around the boat. After sunset, John brought me up to one of the higher decks to look out at the ocean and star filled sky. Since the wind was going in full force and I was wearing a dress, I asked him to grab my butt to avoid showing too much to anyone who might pass by. He looked at me weirdly and told me no as he fumbled through his pocket and pulled out a beautiful ring. He then told me that if I would marry him it would make his life complete. I, of course, agreed and now we are beginning to plan our destination wedding!
  18. Jennifer ~ How does one attend this "webinar" and would you recommend the Sandals in Jamaica? We're considering taking a vacay there this November.
  19. Thanks for the review! We're considering taking a vacay to Jamaica in November, and this is one of the places we're considering.
  20. Haha... I was in Target the other day with my sweetie and he had no clue why I was cooing over a bunch of bags I saw in one of the aisles. I had to explain that I "knew" someone who got the same bags for her destination wedding.
  21. I adore Jessica McClintock. I bought a couple dresses for formals in my younger years. They're always so classic and beautiful. Those shoes are super cute too!
  22. Yes, you can totally register with them. You also get discounts and such like the ones you would get if you were having a party.
