  1. Good job Deanna and the rest of you ladies! I gained a pound this week. :-( But the good news is that crutches are a pretty good work out for my arms, especially going up the hill in my work parking lot. For some reason, my boss is being flaky about getting me a pass to park closer to the building (work for a very large company), so I'm hauling my laptop and essentials too!
  2. Haha... I weighed in with my ankle wrap on. My picture looks really funny, especially since my bandage is wrapped over my sock because it has latex in it and I'm allergic! I get to start some PT tomorrow, so I'm excited.

  4. Have you ever seen TLC's Rock the Reception? It's a whole show about busting out into dance. One of the episodes even showed a couple sharing their romantic first dance when a server dropped a tray and fell over right next to them. Then they, the server, and a few other server/backup dancers started to break out into a crazy choreographed dance.
  5. Rosel! It's still Wednesday... you still have time to send us a picture!
  6. I like the idea, but I hate how they executed it tonight. It was kinda like "America doesn't like you. Oh, guess what--the judges don't either!" But it does motivate them to not have a nervous break down during their going away song.
  7. I agree with everyone who says that it's probably not a baby, but pee on a stick anyway! Oddly enough, because you're stressing about not really getting your period, it will screw up you getting your period. Best thing to do is get the test and check it out so you don't have to worry. Let us know how it goes!
  8. I actually think that these would be a cute alternative to flowers, but it would look nicer if it were darker and you could light a candle. BLOWOUT Blue Capiz Candle Lantern That site also has colored parasols for under $8.
  9. Gossip Girls and Ugly Betty used to be the ones I'd watch when he wasn't around, but I got him into both of them. Like Danielle's John, my John is also a fan of Chuck Bass. However, I have to hide Dr. Phil when I want to watch it, because John will mock it mercilessly to the point where I'd rather not even watch it.
  10. I think having her do a part of the sand ceremony is great. You could also have your FI and daughter exchange mini-vows of their own.... such as "I, FI, take you to love and protect as my own daughter" sort of thing. You could also have her do some sort of reading if she'd be comfortable with it.
  11. Hey Joanna! Welcome back. I'm really glad to hear that Jazmin seems way better than the horrible WC Jen had. We're going to do our own site visit in April. Did Jazmin give you any helpful info on how their packages/flowers/wedding sites/reception sites/etc that we didn't already know from the wonderful brides who've gone before?
  12. I think the first version really motivated me, but the updated version was slightly discouraging, but still good to know. I'm hoping I can watch my food enough to not gain weight in the next few weeks. Even if I don't win, I still want to continue doing well. Anyone have any good and fun ideas for exercises to do without moving my ankle? All the exercises I had been doing before (like Turbo Jam or Cardio Dance) were fun, so it was easier to push myself to do it. I haven't found anything yet I really like that doesn't hurt my ankle.
  13. Kelly, I've been making some fruit smoothies with whey protein in it, which helps.
  14. Yeah, I found out I wasn't eating enough calories sometimes too... and this would put my body into "don't burn anything" mode but then I would get hungry and eat a little too much and then it was all a mess. It's much harder for me to eat regular controlled meals that totals my daily calories than eat one big meal for the entire day that is less than my daily calories, but the former is a way better weight loss strategy. So, I found out I have some tendinitis and junk. I'm currently on hold to try to find out how much I'm going to have to pay out of pocket for PT.
  15. Abbie, I think usually your own car insurance covers your rentals (although, I'm not sure about internationally). Plus, I know that if you use a Visa to reserve the car, Visa covers you. I never get insurance for my rentals anymore, because it's a total rip off. Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver - Personal | Personal | Visa USA
  16. I need a hug, and I don't even spam! Why would a spammer think that we would want to use their services? I mean, we want reputable and reliable people on here. Not crazy spammers who can't read the rules. Be a good vendor, get BDW support. It's not rocket science, people!
  17. Michelle... let me know if you find them online.... I don't see em.
  18. Hey, Sarah... is there anyway for you to post them for all to see? This way people aren't PMing you months down the road when they're noobs and just saw the thread.
  19. Kelly, I am with you on SO MANY levels. I think bikini motivation is one of the best motivators. Plus by breaking it up into "I'm going to work really hard for this short period of time" for a few sessions back to back, you've actually been good for much longer without even realizing it. We booked our site visit for April, so I've got a good bikini goal. Umm... Flipz are amazing. When I'm being super moody for no apparent reason, John knows to offer me Flipz. If I can't resist them or try to eat them all in one sitting, then I'm not really mad, I'm just PMSing. They're the perfect blend of salty and chocolatey to satisfy any girly time craving. I like Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople for tracking food and exercise. They also have helpful articles and will give you a free diet plan. My work actually gives me $150 a year to log in with them for 12 weeks or track my exercise for 12 weeks.

I sent them out to appease eveyone but I still thought it was a little weird!! =) "Throw" a wedding? Like she's having her wedding with your bridal party in four months but not inviting you? I'm confused.
  21. Wait, I lied... We're staying in GBP Tulum.
  22. UGH! I'm so sorry that they wasted your time like that. It makes me angry for you. I'm glad you had a good time anyway. I'm going to GBP Coba in five weeks. I'm going to keep an eye out for the things you mentioned, so I know before I book.
  23. Haha, Lisa. I totally understand what you mean. It feels slightly insulting when someone suggests that you have a healthier snack or go to the gym, because it feels like that person is calling you fat instead of helping you stay on track. I've had a couple of occasions when I've wanted to tell John to put his healthy snack somewhere very uncomfortable, but it helps that I know that he's not passing judgment and he's just helping me do what I want to do. I know deep down that if I wasn't making a point of losing weight, he wouldn't even think to suggest it.... that helps me not go crazy on him in situations like that!
