Does anyone have this Kenneth Cole bathing suit from VS?
Sapphire723 replied to ~Angela~'s topic in Random Thoughts
It looks really cute from the back, but I think the front looks a little off. It could be just because I'm not a big fan of monokinis. I don't like the way they show peoples sides, because it usually seems unflattering. But, I think you look a lot better than the model. Looking at her arms makes me want to throw up a little. -

Based on communications between his lawyer and his ex...we found out that the ring should be given back to the guy unless it is the a heirloom ring from the bride's family or if it was paid for by the bride (not likely). If the guy purchased the ring, it should be returned to him, unless he sells it to the girl. It is part of a contract to marry, and that contract has been broken. However, if the ring is given on a holiday (e.g., Christmas, Valentine's Day) or a birthday, it is construed as a gift and she can keep the ring. This is correct. It belongs to the person who purchased it (or previously owned it if it was an heirloom) regardless of who breaks it off, because it's given as a promise to marry. However, if it was given on a birthday, anniversary, or holiday, the bride can make a case for it being a present and keep it.

Thank you so much! I think this is almost the dress, but the one in the picture has a shiny sash and not a chiffon sash. The reason why I like that so much is because it compliments my shiny sash on my dress. Also, thank you to everyone else who has been helping. You girls are awesome!!

Oooh, I know. I hate wearing strapless dresses, because I feel like I'm always tugging it up to avoid a nip slip. Plus I like being able to wear a real bra, and I think my girls would appreciate it if I got dresses that were not strapless.... even though two of my BMs made me wear strapless dresses. :-)

For the time being, I would give FI a different gift and save this for a future gift. The photog may have rushed the order on the other girl's book or there may have been an issue with yours that he's working on sorting out. You won't have any legal issues that are actionable in the immediate time frame, because you didn't set a date on when he owed you your free book. With that logic, a court would probably see anything in a reasonable amount of time as being acceptable. In my opinion, a few months would be reasonable for product that you're not paying for. And trying to take it to court will only draw out the process. As far as getting him to fork over the pictures he took of you, it probably would be a lengthy process to first get a court to order that he do so and then get him to comply with said court order. -

When was the date he agreed to have the book for you by? From the agreement you mentioned, it doesn't seem like he ever agreed to give you a copy of all of the pictures shot. He only agreed to give you a book of about 30 shots. Technically he has the rights to all of the pictures as long as he gives you the book as promised, so why would he give it to you for free so you can print it somewhere else? Was that part of the agreement? -
Another NYC Happy Hour? For the NY, NJ, CT gals?

Nm, that sounds a little lame. What about A Girl's Best Friend since you'll be selling jewelry plus the one thing attached to most girls at all times.

I definitely think Adam deserved it more (but I didn't vote, so I guess I can't complain too much). I didn't even remember who Kris was for most of the show, and although he can sing, I wasn't really wowed by anything he did. He seems very plain and generic. I also do think that Adam's outside of Idol drama played a part in the finale. While most people will vote based on who they think is best, there are still some people out there who are appalled by his sexual orientation and fondness of drag and would vote against him because of that. I also think that Kara's poorly written song would NEVER have worked for Adam and the producer's pick wasn't a very good choice. John actually voiced what I was thinking while we watched it, which was "Are they trying to make Adam lose so they don't have to deal with the PR for him?" Again, I think most voters voted true, but for others it's not just a singing competition. And it's not like Kris was bad, so I'm ok with him winning, especially if it means that we don't ever have to hear Adam try to sing that horrible song again!! I agree with everyone about the finale. It was fantastic and they had some amazing names there! For whoever said they were a Jason Mraz fan, I actually helped organize his visit to my small private college for a concert. He's pretty chill in person too and gives a good show, but the chick he had open for him (Tristan Prettyman) was AMAZING. I loved the concept of Idols rocking out with their idols. And the awards were hilarious! I felt a little bad for Kara. She seemed very uncomfortable being in a bikini and couldn't cover up fast enough!

I lost my car right before I graduated from college (I got side-swiped by a semi truck on the highway and skid upside down 50 feet into oncoming traffic. Miraculously I was fine, but my car was totaled beyond recognition.), and my Fortune 500 company gave me a "signing/moving" bonus for coming out to Connecticut and a salary that could easily afford a car under $20k and could probably afford a car up to $30k if I really wanted to allocate that much money towards a car (which I didn't). I really wanted a Mercury Cougar, but they quit making them in 2002, so I couldn't get a new one. I was also considering a Hyundai Tiburon --cute, but not too pricey (at the time, a fully loaded one was about $20k). The guy at the dealership was nice, and he set me up for a test drive. When I returned, he was busy helping someone else, but he asked another associate to follow up with me. This chick gave me the biggest "Oh honey, don't you want to look for a car that's more in your price range" attitude. I was so pissed off that even though I liked the car, I didn't buy it there. When the nice sales guy called me up to see if I was coming back, I explained to him what happened and told him that there is NO WAY I would purchase a vehicle from them after that. I ended up finding a Cougar with less than 10k miles on it, which is what I really wanted anyway. Moral of the story: Just because we're young, doesn't mean we don't have money. If it's out of our price range, WE will tell YOU, so don't tell us what we can't afford.

Hi Stacey, welcome to the forum! I didn't get married there, but we vacationed there about two years ago, when it was Sunscape Casa Del Mar. The site is absolutely beautiful, and they were doing renovations when we were there, so it's only going to be more amazing for your wedding.

Anyone know how much the shipping for a tote bag is? -
If you can't find TAs willing to work with you, don't work with them. If they're giving you sass, I'd just say "Oh! Well, the good news is that WDW is in my price range, but the bad news is I'm going with someone who isn't going to assume things about me instead of booking through you. Peace out."

If you think that the salespeople are going to pressure you, then you can always use the phrase "I like it a lot, but I don't know if it's THE ONE. I'm going to have to sleep on it." But in all fairness, most of their paycheck probably depends on you purchasing your gown through them. I would suggest that you see if your bridal salon can help lower their price to make it more affordable. The ladies helping you pick out/try on dresses are likely to be working on commission, and they would probably rather try to see if they can finagle a price drop (and get a lower commission) than to lose all the money they earned by helping you out. Alternatively, you may want to try a salon whose consultants don't work on commission or a designer (I think Jessica McClintock may be one of them) who has stores where you can pull your own dresses from the rack, so you're not intentionally using their services for free.

(Not to attend the wedding but care for the child) She may also be paranoid about you leaving the country without her, because of all the horror stories of when one parent kidnaps the child Although, she would have to be extremely paranoid to even worry about that, especially since so many people besides you and FI are going, and you likely have plenty of roots at home and none out of the country. -
Are you able to look online to see your transactions after the point that you think you lost it? That way you can see where it's being used, if it's really stolen. If there was a withdrawl right after yours that cleaned out your account, then they can definitely check the tape to see that the second person WASN'T YOU. Either way, they shouldn't give you a hard time. That's just rude and uncalled for.

I mean it would be nice if she didn't lip sync, but it would be almost impossible for her to sing while dancing like that. For being in her mid-forties, she really looked great out there. She deserves mad props. No wonder she's in pain all the time. I probably would be too if I tried to move like that! Gwen looked good too, but it definitely sounds like she's out of practice.
