OMG! I am so glad I found this thread! My wedding is in 3 weeks and 2 days and I am still getting chit! Before we booked-I told my mom(controlling btch) and my sister ( 2 kids) that our date opened and we REALLY wanted to go ahead with it ( it was booked a few months ago-then opened...long story) I also told them last summer ( well asked) if they woudl go to Vegas for my wedding-everyone answered yes-even my dad ( divorced from my mom). So at Christmas I even bought my dad luggage b/c thats the one thing he said " Id go, but I have no luggage". ( hes so useless without a wife....and they have been divorced for 20 years!) So cut to May of this year-now I am not asking people to spend thousands-a flight to Vegas out of Buffalo was 300 bux. Here's what I got: My Mom-yelled, got snotty, did the " well if YOU wanna get married without your friends and family....then go right ahead, I will never go to las vegas!" *** next day-my sister calls me to tell me my mom contacted a travel agent ( yet she didnt tell me, HA!) My dad was cool with it-he just wished he could go-but he started his BIG fancy new job at Target and said he could get the time off ( weeks later-FIRED!) Such a loser...so darn sad. ( sense the sarcasm??) I got the "are you pregnant?" questions. Ummmm let's see-I am 36 years old-IF I was pregnant ( and weve been trying) Id certainly SHOUT it-not hide it! I really dont care-we have 14 people going ( 2 live there) and that is enough for me. I hate making small talk with 50-100 people!! We always vacation in vegas-it is our favorite destination and we decided that we couldnt imagine getting married anywhere else. Some good things have happened though too- FMIL is being great about things and we did not even tell her until June (August wedding). DF's Aunt and Unle found out late too because they were on a couple week vacation-but even they booked. (they have plenty of money though) We had a friend tell us to pay for his airfare-yahhh right we are on such a budget we couldnt afford an extra 300-400! So I am glad to read all of these posts-I keep hoping everything will work out and my mother wont embaress me by going and then complaining about how las vegas is stupid and people who gamble are stupid too. Ughhhhhhhhh

Thanks for the vista print idea-I made a brochure but I have to cut and paste then photocopy. I am gonna try and do one on VP now! My FI is so annoyed with ym staying up til 2 am working on this stuff lol TOO BAD!

I would ask-I think its a smart idea-wedding dresses cost so much (BM dresses). And this would be great-save money is always my goal! Plus its flattering I think

Stressful-I am sure. I guess mom's just wanna get all oinvolved and be over protective of their sons? IDK-he needs to say something. You can tell him to cut the cord and step UP! Im joking but sorta serious...y'know? He needs to stpe up or she will pull this crap when you have kids and it can get worse :0 Good luck!

I cant believe how amazing those look-it looks like something you would buy at a store as a souvenir from the trip ( if that makes sense) How were you able to make the logo and then apply it? Was it an iron on? How did that work? Sorry for the questions-Im just trying to learn-I wont copy-I bought bags at target! lol

Thanks-I did get the bags at Target-for a major deal and I didnt even know it! Lets just say I boyght a ton of stuff that day-some shorts, some female items, some stuff for the patio and I didnt pay attention to the total. Well she rang the bags up-but must have made some mistake! So I got lucky I guess

I ordered some little flowers to stick into my updo...I got them for 9.99 for 6 on ebay. Then the shipping was 13.00-how ridiculous-i wish i saw that before I bought-now I know some people will say thats so cheap-but we are so broke its ALOT to us. Now I see the one big flower look and Im scared I should have gone that route. Heres a pic: What ya think Im thinking of doing something like this:

Thanks so much for all the replies! I am going to go with the suggestions people here gave me-SNAKCS!! Ill buy them when I et to vegas though-the first night/day we are there were staying at our friends house so we can out them bags together ( Im mailing everything out) so this way its less to try and box up and ship! I also got some free Tshirts and cheap ones to put in the 2 mom's bags and the MOH to kinda give them something extra! Thanks so much for your awesome ideas!

Well she decided to start asking friends for some old ones they may have.....she also has one that would work-strapless but fluu lenght. The bummer is it is victorianl lilac ( and no offense) I do NOT like the color. But I told her to wear whatever she wants to. Bummer is when she got married we had to wear that color so I dont wanna say I dont like it. I found one at david;s-style 8585 in the peridot color I want her to get-but....Im not gonna make her buy something and pay rush shipping after a 500 plane ticket. I just wished I could have gotten her one off the rack-my david's said they had it-I got there and they coudnt find it so either its misplaced or their computer was wrong. How annoying!!! the mugs are really terrific-however I know how you feel About getting something you ordered wrong! I hope you can get them to quickly re-do them and ship them to you for free. maybe you can keep the black ones and use them for something else They better do something-Id complain a ton!!!

update-I also just found a thread on t shirts from vistaprint so now in the 2 mother's bags there will be a Tshirt added in for fun! Maybe they will wear them on the plane or whatever, just more stuff for the bag

Ok the dumb wesbite kept going in and out last night-so I tried again and paid 4.74 a t shirt! I got them for both moms-such a cute idea! I pid 16 for 2 with the fast shipping option. Not too bad! I think its a great addition to the oot gift bags they will get when they get to Vegas! Thanks for the idea and help!
