  1. Well I just got my hair trial done yesterday, and i LOVE it. One less thing to worry about. I am so lucky that my maid of honor is a hairdresser
  2. This new picture is of the whole group of wonderful ladies who came to my bridal shower and stagette. It was a fantastic turn out

  5. Ladies, My shower/stagette was great! I had so much fun. It took my about 2 days to recuperate from the fun ha-ha. I just feel so lucky to have so many amazing friends and family on the resort! I have a few things left to do in the next 24 days: -Make up music CD with music to walk down the aisle to. -Pick up bridesmaid dresses that have been a NIGHTMARE! -Hope grooms shirt shows up on time (reordered twice) -Buy groomsmen gifts (bridesmaids are done) -Write my vows -Get gel nails, and a pedicure -Go for hair trials (next weekend). My maid of honor is a Hairdresser. -There is probably more, but these are the big things left to do. Here is a picture form my shower, gotta love toilet paper bride! (I’m 2nd from the left)
  6. Well ladies I am getting so excited! This weekend is my bridal shower and bachelorette party. Sunday will be exactly one month until our wedding day TODAY is one month until we leave for Mexico. WOW I can't believe it is so close.
  7. Awww Jules I feel for you! I am a student teacher finishing up my final practicum right now. I have no idea how you are fitting everything in. Just try and pick your battles. If there are things you can let go of, that really don’t matter, just let them go LOL. Ask yourself how much it will matter once you are on the beach sipping a cocktail. I hope things look up for you soon. You are getting SOOOOO close. I just can’t tell you how excited I am getting for the big day to arrive. I’m sure many of you are feeling that same. My bridal shower and stagette are come up fast as well. They are being held on the last weekend of March (12 days away)! I have taken over my own shower planning LOL. With the wedding being so easy and stress free, I felt the urge to plan and decorate something. Needless to say my step-mothers house is going to look fantastic when I’m through with it.
  8. THANKS! Tlseege I think it's so great that you still come on and help all the current brides out after your wedding has passed. Forums like these would not work without people like you.
  9. LOVE YOUR DRESS!! Yes I do remember there being karaoke in the Music Bar in the Coba lobby! Also I have eaten at the Potofino and it is AMAZING. We loved it so much we have decided to have our wedding dinner there. 49 days until the wedding I am getting so excited!
  10. I just noticed that today is RAYKEL's wedding day! I hope everything is perfect for her today

My suggestion to all of you future brides is DO NOT OVER PLAN. I had no expectations and feel that this is what allowed me to FULLY enjoy our day. Honestly the atmoshpere is beautiful so don't worry about little things....it will all be gorgeous. We had Erick (claudia rodriguez photography) and he was great! He speaks perfect English and had some great ideas for photos......i'm excited to see the results. We also had some photos included in our wedding package from the resort photographer. Juan took some AMAZING photos (180 of them)......we loved them, but only purchased 35 for two reasons. First, I feel confident that Erick will also have captured many of the same moments. Second, the resort photographs are quite expensive. We were charged $15 per picture (they would give 10% off if you purchase more than 50). After our gorgeous wedding ceremony in the Tulum gazebo we did pictures and then met our group at Gran Tortuga for dinner. The food was excellent and I recommend saving room for the last swords.....mmmmmm to die for. At 8pm we went to the lobby bar and danced the night away! The band was great and even intorduced us to everyone and played a "first dance" for us. All of our guests are still raving about the great time we had. It closed down by midnight and then our party moved to the snack bar and we went to our room. Our room was decorated with rose petals, champagne, and chocolates. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! I can't believe that it is over, but I will forever remember all of the spectacular moments that we shared. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone getting married. I will try and attach a photo that the resort photographer took: Welcome back! It sounds like you had a perfect day! I am glad to hear Erick was good; I am also using him for my wedding on April 28/10! It does look like the resort photographer did a very nice job as well. I am getting so excited. Thank you for posting info about your wedding it makes me feel less nervous.

I saw their work and one of the couples that came to our wedding had a photo session done, and they were very happy with the quality of photos. I would love to see your pictures too. I am also one of the lucky brides that is allowed to us Erick (form Claudia's company) because I had my money down before the policy change.

We're getting married on the 26th there... we should meet up at some point since we'll be there the same time!!! My coordinator is Karla, and no she didn’t send me that info We should defiantly meet up! I will be there on the 25 so you will have to let me know when works for you.

Someone please tell me that the hammocks and the akumal beach location are one and the same!!!

  19. Wow you ladies are getting me so excited and anxious! I will be finished my education degree ONE WEEK before we leave for the wedding. I am defiantly feeling the time crunch now. Between school work, life, and wedding planning my life is chaos. But it is a good chaos. It is going to be so worth it in the end
  20. So what are you ladies wearing for shoes? I’m probably going to wear nice flip flops or some kind of flat. The sand may be too hard to walk on in heels and I want to be comfortable all day. My only problem is that I am having a hard time finding nice flip flops. Any suggestions?
  21. Sorry if this is a double post, but my last one is not showing up for me Are we allowed to read our own vows?
