  1. Ugh, the flu stinks. Good luck taking care of everyone. I hope you don't get it!
  2. Jen, this stinks! I hope you get your deposit back soon, but what a bitter taste this must leave, especially when the photog is the reason the date kept having to be changed.
  3. Ladies, I encourage you to run outside immediately and take advantage of the dry weather. Geoff Fox says rain tomorrow, could be heavy and rain Sunday too! I'm going running right now.
  4. Hey everyone, I just wanted to thank you all so much for the kind words and thoughts. I really appreciate it and love BDW for providing a place to receive support from "strangers" (even though in my head I act like I know most of you lol). The funeral was this morning and it was actually nice to see her at rest. It was sad, but seeing her go to a place next to her late husband was really comforting to me. Again, thank you all. {hugs}
  5. 1. ONE wedding per day! 2. Flexibility to do whatever we want as far as the wedding goes; I felt like they would make anything we wanted happen 3. Allowed outside vendors 4. Proximity to the airport 5. Outside deck option for the private reception
  6. Erin, I'm so sorry. Who would ever think that such a small injury would lead to this. I'm sure your FMIL appreciates your support. You and she are in my thoughts.
  7. I'm gonna vote with Jac on this one, I don't think we should send out rankings. I feel like its too late in the season for it. I'm pretty sure we'll get out voted, but that's my 2 cents. I like the excitement of thinking I could be in the lead and think that hearing otherwise could just deflate people. Really, we send in 3 more weights and we'll all have the answers.
  8. I agree! And its supposed to rain the rest of the week and weekend I think. I have never been so pale in June in my life!

Anywhoo I think I might be able to just spreadsheet the numbers over the contest and come up with a number thats close so if it looks like there's a majority that want a suprise I might do that. Ah, I was thinking that you would get a pm and no one else. duh! lol Not that anyone who wanted to see could...
  10. Congrats Jill! I don't know about seeing the list. It definitely didn't work out for the group last time. And, I'm not sure about a pm either. I feel like that could give some an unfair advantage, knowing what they would have to lose to beat someone else. I guess a pm telling you your own percentage would be good, but not where you compare to others unless everyone gets to see.

(I know this may sound corny, but I just saw the episode of Will & Grace last night where Nathan gives this little speech to Jack...I just love it.) Estella, this is such a sweet and true quote. I love it. Thank you. Morgan, your family must have loved those pictures! What a great idea. Thanks ladies for all of the kind words and support. It is much appreciated.
  12. omg Syl, I'm going to plan a second wedding just so I can wear your dress! Its so beautiful. Someone better scoop that up before I buy it just to wear while watching tv.
  13. So, my grandma passed away yesterday. She was 88 and in a nursing home for a few years and she was ready to go, I think so anyway. It was something that was expected to come and we knew that she wasn't doing well last week, but its still so sad. I made the decision to not see her in the nursing home while she was there. Its what worked for me and just wasn't the way I wanted to remember her. I'm not feeling badly about that decision, but I feel so sad that she died alone. I'm not even really sad that she passed on because she really wanted to a couple of years ago, but I can't stop thinking about what it must be like to be old. Most of her friends had passed on already, her husband passed away many many years ago, my mom went to see her daily, but that was it. Its just so sad. The funeral is on Friday and it will just be our family, which is really small. I'm much more sad than I expected to be (don't take that the wrong way). Thanks for letting me share...
  14. I did a custom stamp from Zazzle on my save the dates. Our guests and family members loved them! Its something people will notice and totally worth it IMO. Yours are cute!
  15. So, I gained half a pound this week. Which to me really is like no change at all. Whatever. I'm having the worst week. I'm stressed about this house we are trying to buy, I have a school assignment that is giving me a hard time and my grandma passed away yesterday. I just feel like going to bed and not accomplishing anything. On the otherhand, all of that stuff makes me want to work out some of my frustrations. So, it could all be good motivation. Vikki~ your results are awesome! So motivating for me to stick with it. Right now I'm still up about 10 pounds from what I had lost before my wedding. Trying to get back down there, although it was the lightest I've ever been in adult life. Its such a great feeling when you hit a new low! Congrats.
  16. What a fantastic contest for three lucky winners! Get on it ladies!
  17. more pictures more pictures! lol Great review Kristy!
  18. My dh has a tungsten band. He's a plumber and it hasn't been scratched or anything at work. And we love the look of it. I also bought in online for like 40 bucks. It was a great buy! Check out overstock.com
  19. I love that bathing suit! When I got my latest catelog I almost bought it. But I'm not sure which I love more, the suit or the body that's in it. Too bad VS doesn't sell the body! lol
  20. I totally wish that I was better with calling people. Sometimes I think about it and call everyone on the same day! I end up emailing and fb'ing a lot but I would prefer to see them in person or talk on the phone. My dh talks to his core group of friends every day, even if its just for a few minutes. He has like 7 or 8 people he talks to daily. It amazes me. I have no idea how he does it. He doesn't have a myspace or fb or anything though. He thinks that's "gay". lol I'm lucky if I talk to one person a day (other than dh of course). And I'm terrible with returning phone calls. Its really bad.
  21. I have no idea what's normal, but that sounds like a ridiculously long period of time to me.
  22. My husband knows how much I weigh. We support each other in weight loss so its a good thing. He could really care less anyway. It wouldn't matter to him if I was 150 or 250 lbs.
  23. I confess that I am the biggest procrastinator EVER. I've been on BDW for over an hour instead of doing my homework and now all I want to do is go to sleep. Looks like I'll be getting up early to do homework in the morning...
  24. For me, the pictures were the most important thing other than actually being married. They are all you will have left when the wedding is over and as your memories start to fade. So, our photographer was well worth the money. She cost almost the same amount as our entire trip and we don't regret it.
