I will be in Mexico when you are getting married! We are going the 5th and our wedding is on the 10th. Barcelo Maya looks like a nice resort. We are getting married at Paradisus Riviera Cancun. Curious: How many people is everyone inviting?

Hi girls! My name is Kelly and I am getting married January 10, 2009. I asked my TA (also doing my planning) about invites because I felt like sending them 8 weeks before the wedding was silly because most people would have booked already. She said she likes to send them out anyway because sometimes people's finances have changed or they are procrastinators and its a nice reminder for them. I think I'm going to send them a little early tho- probably in September. As for everything else- I have my dress. It needs alterations tho. I have asked my MOH, but not my BM yet to be in the wedding. Note to self- call FSIL. lol My fiance still hasn't decided on a BM or GM yet. He's a definite procrastinator. Our STD's are going out this week. Our invites are being printed and should be here soon. So, we have some things done and lots of others still on the list... p.s.- I love my STD's and invites. I got them at Unique Wedding Invitations Artist * Beach Wedding Invitations, Modern Wedding Invitations. Great quality compared to lots of other samples I got online. I would post a pic here, but have no idea how to put it in a post.

I'm exactly 6 years older than my fiance (which I think might be the biggest difference posted here). His bday is exactly a week before mine. I say the same thing about women living longer- since I never want to live without him and men usually don't live as long, I figure I have a better chance of us going at the same time. lol It never even comes up now, but I was a little nervous to meet his family when I was 27 and he was 21... Of course, turns out they LOVE me!

I'm sure this was discussed in earlier posts but I can't remember... What are you guys doing for ceremony music? We are having a pretty low key event so we're probably just going to use an ipod for the reception, but I can't decide if I want some sort of live music for the ceremony. So, just wondering what you guys have decided on... On another note, I put one of those countdown things in my signature and I can't believe how close it makes my wedding seem! Oh, one more thing... I went on trip advisor to check out resorts before picking one. I don't give much thought to the reviews (you know that whole thing about someone having a bad experience telling everyone they know, but those with a good experience are less likely to say something), but the user posted pictures are GREAT! There are even pics from someones wedding on there and it looks awesome. Hi Ladies! I am new to the forum today. I decided to join after seeing your thread about Paradisus. I am getting married there on January 10, 2009 and have just started the planning process (we were originally getting married in St Lucia, but it was really expensive for our guests so we switched it at the last minute). I can't tell you how excited I am to know that I can ask questions of people going to the same resort I am! I've actually read all 40 pages of posts so I'm all caught up! lol And everything has been so helpful... Kelly
