Woohoo, my coworker who was supposed to go away this weekend cancelled her trip and offered to take my shift! I'm soooo in love with her right now! I'm gonna have to do something nice for her.
-
Thanks girls. I have to work this afternoon, so I'm hoping I can work something out while I'm there. I requested the day off at least 3 weeks ago, maybe longer. Of course, the manager who does our scheduling is conveniently on vacation this week. So, he posted the schedule right before he left and got the heck out of there. lol I'm hoping the other manager will help me out, but in the past her response to people has been I don't do the schedule talk to the other guy. We'll see what she says since he won't be in.

Were you able to refinance to get your ex off your house? I hope I'm remembering that right. I remember you were having a hard time finding a solution. I'll probably breathe a huge sigh of relief on Fri... if it happens. And now I'm stressed about this... it never ends. lol http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t47888

Ugh, so I work at a restaurant while I'm trying to finish up college. It's a crappy job, but the schedule allows me to take classes during the day and work at night. I requested Saturday off because we are throwing a 30th birthday party for my brother. Well, I looked at the schedule today and they scheduled me to work any way! And, they gave someone else the day off who asked AFTER me. I can't find anyone to cover my shift and I'm basically screwed. I'm throwing the freaking party, how can I not go? I can't call out sick because I have to work Fri and Sun, so its not like I'd have a mysterious illness that hits after I close Friday night and goes away before I open Sunday afternoon. And, I would just feel terrible calling out even though its not a good job. Besides they know now that I'm trying to find someone to cover my shift. No one can cover for me tho. To top it off, I'm not supposed to have to work all three days of the weekend EVER. Its part of the deal we have from when I first got hired. So, not only didn't I get the day off I asked for, but I'm scheduled all three days. Idk what to do. My brother and I are best friends. I'll be so sad if I have to miss the party and I think he will be too. Ugh.

Its been such a long, torturous process that I'm so over it. I don't even really believe its going to happen.

I would probably say its great she was going to help them to come, but you are only having immediate family at your dw and can't wait to see them at the ahr and leave it at that. I wouldn't say close friends are going, even tho they will know they were there, only because it leaves room for them to argue. I'd keep it simple.

Wow, this is terrible. I think it is in the hands of your FI. He has to sit his parents down and put his foot down. Tell them their behavior is unacceptable. While they are entitled to their opinion, in the end the decision is his and if he chooses to love you and marry you, they are just going to have to deal with it. There is no way you should have to go down for your wedding worrying about what they might be planning to ruin things. I think its best if he handles it himself because you don't want to be involved and give them a reason not to like you or to hold it against you. Good luck. I can't imagine what I'd do if my MIL treated me that way.

Juicy! I confess I'm addicted to this show too, even though I really didn't like it last season. It seems that all of them have lost houses at one point then since Sheree has already said on this show she was foreclosed on (altho I guess the ex was supposed to be paying).

Young bride hires hitman to kill husband
KLC77 replied to The Mandy in Chandy's topic in Random Thoughts
I want to know why she didn't wonder why it was only going to cost her $4200 to have him killed. I'd think a job like that would cost a lot more. What a nut! -
So, I wanted to get your opinions. I LOVED my wedding dress. I would sit at home and watch tv in it if I could. So, I'm thinking that I may want to take it to a seamstress and have it shortened to knee length so that I can wear it again and again. I was also thinking I might dye it a different color. But, for some reason there's a part of me that is reluctant to do anything to it, even though that means I probably would never wear it again. The only possibility of wearing it again the way it is now would be if Ron and I ever decided to renew our vows and who knows when we will decide to do that. So, vote and let me know what you think! Here are a couple of pics of the dress. not me not me me

We did ours before and didn't tell anyone. The jp we used knew we were heading to Mexico and that would be our real wedding to us, so he skipped a bunch of the typical stuff and just got down to business and married us. I was worried it would take away from our Mexico wedding, but it definitely didn't. We were really informal for our legal ceremony, so the first time we said all of our vows was in Mexico. As for what to tell people, we told those who asked that we did have to fill out some paperwork in the US before we got married to make sure it was legal (and really to us that's what it was). But those who didn't ask we didn't say anything to and we didn't come straight out and say we were already married to those who asked.

Concerns with Bringing Rings to Wedding?
KLC77 replied to faithers81's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
We brought our real rings. The wedding bands stayed in the safe until our weddinig day and my e-ring never left my finger. I agree that the safest place for them is on your finger! Besides, they are insured and as others said something can happen to them any where. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to get married without my real ring. -
Please help me choose a dress!!

I like dress 3. I love the straps on dress one, but I agree the neckline is throwing me off a little. -

No more destination wedding for me?:(
KLC77 replied to estella1007's topic in Just venting or funnies
I definitely wouldn't use that planner. But I wouldn't give up your dw if its what you want. I think there's plenty of time to get it planned without it being overly stressful. Good luck! -

They will decorate everything however you want it, whether you bring your own decorations or pay to use the resorts. Perla is usually much more responsive the closer your day is. As long as you have an idea of what you want, she can get everything done rather quickly. I dont think she has dropped the ball yet for any of the brides on the forum. Good luck with your planning. I hope it works. I agree with others that you should shop around for a different pharmacy. I was getting my bcp filled at Walgreens and they charged me $30 a month after insurance, Target was $9.99 for the same rx. Hopefully these pills work for you and solve the problem!
