  1. Welcome to the forum! I'm another Florida bride-- Islamorada to be exact. Happy planning!
  2. The strapless looks gorgeous on you! It really suits your figure. The halter is a pretty dress too, but just not the best choice.
  3. I think your hair looks beautiful curled like that-- soft and natural. And your dress is stunning on you! Are you going to wear a veil or headpiece? I think flowers would look nice.
  4. Usually the Ritz is very expensive, no matter which one it is. Amelia Island is gorgeous though-- I've been to the regular resort many times with my family.
  5. They look terrific! I am incorporating the same colors (along with lime) and that weddingpaperdivas invite is one of my faves. (I like the green/pink one too.)
  6. I love this idea! I plan to use orchids for my bouquet and the centerpieces, and this would be a nice way to dress up the fans as well.
  7. Gorgeous pics! I love your colors-- I am thinking of doing hot pink, lime and a little orange thrown in. Congratulations .
  8. Wow, you are a total knockout in that dress! Love the neckline and the "sexy back" on you. I too have a sweetheart neckline and I think it's so much more feminine and flattering. Glad the alterations turned out so well!
  9. I attempted to run in the heat today-- it was more like a long walk with some jogging interspersed. It was just too hot! But I was out for more than an hour, so I definitely burned some calories.
  10. You look gorgeous! I love it-- have stylist, will travel.
  11. The Breakers is truly gorgeous. I stayed there quite a while ago and my parents were there recently for a conference. They couldn't stop raving about it. Not in our price range though .
  12. Aw, I wish I could help-- I grew up in Vero! I've never been to a wedding there, oddly enough, and I think all the ones my parents have attended have been at churches/country clubs. I bet if you called around to some of the rental companies they would cut you a deal.
  13. I was slack for a while because I kept going out of town, and then I got a summer cold and was exhausted. But I'm back on board! Wed- Full-body weights, bike commute Thurs- Intervals on the treadmill, bike commute Fri- Full-body weights, bike commute Sat- Swimming for about 25 minutes (haven't done it in ages, heh. Tomorrow I plan to go for a run. Next week I plan to lift 3x and do cardio at least 2x in addition to the bike commute (which is not all that far, but it's hilly and I def. feel it!)
  14. Very cute-- love the color and the style looks very wearable and flattering.
  15. I don't plan to-- not a fan of the "tradition" and it seems like just one more piece of wedding industry crap to me. I don't consider myself a prude but it seems vulgar to me, the process of the groom digging around in your skirts to grab at your thighs in front of everyone. And I hate the tossing of the bouquet/garter. As a single person, it always felt so demeaning to me so I never stood up to catch it. I know I'm not typical in my thoughts though.
  16. In addition to those two, I also like Anthropologie and J. Crew for sundresses. Sometimes Banana Republic and Ann Taylor Loft have good stuff too.
  17. I am undecided. On one hand, it seems a bit silly, but on the other hand, some of the beach shoots I've seen have been gorgeous, romantic and sexy. (Like "From Here To Eternity"-- yowza!) I have seen some dumb/weird/upsetting TTD shoots, like the ones with the "dead" brides, or people cutting up their dresses. It really depends! I may end up getting a reception dress and using it, or using my original dress, or not doing one at all.
  18. Way to go! I did my first (and only) half last year-- had to give up running for a while due to some foot issues. I really want to get back in the game though!
  19. That is a gorgeous dress! Very light and beachy-- I think it would be great to dance in. And as long as you have good undergarments the halter shouldn't be a problem.
  20. I like them both-- I also like the idea of letting your maids choose between the two of them. They're both silk chiffon and similar cuts/lengths. For a bigger bust, I think Sophia would be easier to wear (no strapless bra required) but the Juliet is adorable too.
  21. Kellywinter1 is right-- it's totally a fairy princess dress! Very romantic and a soft, pretty color. I'm not really a ballgown kind of gal but if I were...
  22. Gorgeous! I love the brooch on the side and the silhouette.
  23. Aw, that totally sucks, jkcz0702! Please rest up and take care of yourself, and don't beat yourself up if you can't make your goal by June 2. Hey, you could order the size that fits you now and then just alter it smaller later on!
  24. It is so gorgeous! Can't wait to see a photo of you in the gown.
