i stopped into our neighborhood michael's today & cricut cartridges were on sale for $39.99!! down from about $90. too bad the machine wasn't on sale! i would have splurged on a side note they also had a sale on beads, so i picked up some super cute starfish charms, so i'm thinking some DIY barefoot sandals & jewelry are in the works. not to mention 60% off custom framing & on, & on...! seems like whenever i go in there with a 50% off a regular priced item i can't find ANY regular priced items! they're ALL on sale.

so we booked our date! & received tons of information on the tucan- flower prices, restaurant choices, private events... from what i can tell it seems very similar between the iberostar resorts- although the tucan/quetzal prices are lower for some things. SO if anybody is looking for anything just let me know. otherwise the information i received directly from the wc matches almost everything i have seen online. & diskokitty: thank you for the info! edit: adding a "tricky" question! what exactly does this $300 outside photographer fee mean? i'm thinking about doing a TTD session a day or too after the ceremony. does this $300 cover one photographer? one day? one photoshoot?! i hate to ask the wc because i'm scared of the answer. lol

they turned out so great! thank you for sharing i looove the idea of bringing a book!!

HOORAY! We didn't think this would be possible until March of 2009, but I just received a confirmation email from the resort WC! IBEROSTAR TUCAN here we come! My pestering our TA had a major pay-off! lol just wanted to share my news! onto dress shopping, invitations, BM attire... AHH- it's starting to feel real!

i just got word that i can request a date!!! initially my TA told me we couldn't do this until march of 2009. whew... here's to hoping we score 1/8/10 also, beachbride08: i checked out your photog & loved their work... thanks again!

i caught a segment of "the soup" on E! last night & they were talking about the finale... j.lo was supposed to be the guest judge & backed out due to a foot injury. (wtf?!) BUT... they played a little snip of 2 different collections on the runway. I have no idea who they may belong to. They didn't scream a designer to me. maybe if i saw the clip again... lol, i'm dying to know who made the final 3- but as soon as i know i'll be bummed. so if you know- don't tell me! the only thing i liked from terri was her drag queen outfit. i thought it was pretty cool.

hey ladies. do you know anything about photographers? i think i read somewhere (and now i can't find it anywhere!!!) that the tucan does not allow outside photographers... this scares me! lol- i am wondering if i can see their in-house work, and what it would take to get a TTD session scheduled. any ideas? what are your photog plans?

DH did the same thing last night!! he thought it would be a quick fix by just calling triple a... not so much. apparently his membership was canceled (although his card clearly says the membership is good until 2010)!! something about being an associate member under his parents, and then once you turn a certain age they cancel it without warning. i have no idea, i don't have AAA, and never will. [hooray for geico roadside assistance and hyundai roadside assistance] but anyway! it seems like easy problems can never really be "easy"!! maybe this just means you got your "DUH! moment" over with early for this year best of luck on the dress hunt!! you are right- it will only get BETTER
