My photog gave me the rights, but also had a form for me to sign so she could use the photos in her marketing materials, BD website, etc... the option for prints is available, but i'm not sure what the cost would be. A larger 8x8 book would be an additional $150, on top of the $350 for a grand total of $500 + tax. i have not asked about rights, but i will. Here is the specific contract language that is making me a little nervous: Partial Release • Photographer reserves the right to display, reproduce, publish, exhibit and otherwise use the images created hereunder as samples of the Photographer’s work to be shown to prospective clients. Any use of the images produced hereunder shall be judicious and consistent with high standards of taste and judgment. • The Photographer shall not participate or assist in any public display, or sale of images produced hereunder in which recognizable person are pictured without specific consent of the Client. • Images that are used will not show Client's face or any identifying features. • Client further waives any and all rights to review any use of the images but may notify the Photographer which images are not to be used.
  2. MODS: This is definitely posted in the wrong place! I'm sorry! ohmygosh I am getting nervous already! I found unveiled photograhphy out of southern wisconsin: www.unveiledportraits.com I wanted to ask a question to you ladies who have had your session already. Did you get the rights to your pictures? She doesn't even give us the option-- but because I love her work so much, and there aren't many other photogs in the area I think I'm just going to go along with it. It's $350 for an-all inclusive type session that comes with a 5x5 10 pg book, or a $135 product credit. (I def. plan to upgrade to a larger book). Does this seem reasonable since I will not own the rights to the pictures afterward? Yikes, I'm nervous about her owning my pics, but there is a partial release option where she won't post any where you can identify me. What are your opinions? Is this a red flag? Thanks ladies.
  3. ohmygosh, it's huge! yay.
  4. ohmygosh! that's so cool. it's my favorite of the parks in orlando, and if you stay there you have giraffes in your backyard! i want to see lots of pictures when you get back .

I haven't got my dress in yet-- I only have pictures of me in the sample dress. There is a bit of a train on the dress... but I love the dress exactly how it is. So it'll get dragged through the sand & then bustled before dinner. Here is a picture of me in the sample

  12. ohmygosh! it sounds like your FI is fantastic, so thank goodness for that. i hope you can work something out with the salon-- 2 weeks sounds more than reasonable when you weren't expecting the gown for 4 months! maybe you can work out something with them? but at least you have your gown in hand, and in more than enough time for your big day.
  13. they are soo great!! i can't wait to see more & hear all about your trip. you looked drop dead gorgeous!
  14. i had serious issues trying to find my dress! i felt so much pressure, & i had no idea what i wanted-- i just loved them all. so here's what i did that really helped me out. i subscribed to 3 bridal magazines (brides, modern bride, and one other one-- elegant bride i think). but i found a great deal, i think it was $25 for a year's worth of all 3. then i started flagging the dresses i liked, anything that caught my eye was immediately torn out of the magazine and added to a binder i had. after going through a few months worth of bridal magazines i noticed a few trends, so i started organizing the dresses by them: i had a few with pick-up style skirts, some with lots of lace, similar necklines, etc. then i took a serious eye and a fat black sharpie to the entire binder. i figured out what exactly it was about every single dress i had picked that i liked, and from there it was easy to piece the dress together. i ended up with one dress that fit all of my "requirements" and walked into the bridal salon (wedding dress excursion #6!) with dress in hand. they had it, i tried it on, and it was THE ONE. it took much effort, and almost 6 months, but i'm a perfectionist, and i was not going to settle! best of luck with the hunt. most of all- don't get discouraged. i have been there, and i can tell you with confidence that when you find the dress you WILL know. relax, and take it all in.

  17. i'm an iberostar bride, & i am using an outside photographer. at the tucan, it's a $300 fee, but for me it is worth it!. i'm sure you've seen this website: Wedding photography at FotoCaribbean pictures tells the story of your day. ? that helped me make the decision .
