Has anyone else been told this? Hi Jerzygirl, I think with the ultimate package, you can choose between flowers for the aisle (walkway) OR a flower arrangement on the gazebo. At least that's my understanding. As for the lanterns, I haven't heard specifically the cost of hanging them, as I haven't inquired about that, however, I was told that any "extras" I wanted to be put around for the receptions (decorations, favors, etc), would be $150. I think some girls have had the lanterns and other things done, and they have only been charged the $150 extra setup fee, and that's it. Maybe they are changing their prices and adding more, but have you checked their wedding guide? Does it say anything about that in there?

After he showered he walked out a noticed the garage door was open, and the door outside. So he woke me up and said "the cat is missing" So we wandered the neighborhood calling his name and still nothing. He has never been outside past the porch and only when he was bad and chucked into the snow last year was he out in the winter. I walked past my neighbors and see a grey mound on thier porch and kept walking, walked back again and they were home and watching me so I didn't want to get to close, I just moved and haven't met them. Then after staring at the mass again I threw caution into the wind and walked onto the porch, where a the grey mass's eyes got really wide! I scooped him up in my arms and carried him over and shouted to Justin..."Got him" We smiled shook our head and I returned to the house, he left for work like no big deal. The odd part is that Jayjay still hasn't cried or meowed since I picked him up this morning and he is the most vocal cat I have ever met!! I am just happy Justin didn't come back to tell me he found him on the road! So thats whats going on in WI at 8 am-- how are your mornings? Oh!! I'm so glad you found him!!! I don't know what I would do if my cat ran away! She tried to once, and I chased her all the way down the driveway until I caught her by her tail! She didn't like me very much after that! I don't think she would dare go out in this weather though. As it is when I open the front door, she runs away from the cold lol....and as for the tupperware! THAT'S GROSS!!! Who does that? I don't even know what I would have done! What an awkward moment....maybe it was a joke! a weird one though... Thanks for the info about the document situation ladies! I appreciate it. I think I'll email my wedding planner and ask her what docs I need to bring and go from there. I think because my name was changed legally (not marriage/divorce) it should be okay, but I'll double check with her. Shells - I totally know what you mean about freaking out and worrying about it - I tend to do that too! Susie - I'm glad to hear that you had such a wonderful time at your party. My FI works with at-risk youth as well, and it is such an awesome feeling for him to see them blossom into a happy and successful life! On other news, I found another TA, and she has been so wonderful so far! She has sent me 4 emails already and is right on top of getting quotes for me! Amazing!! Thanks Dianne!! -

Then she married I took her married name. Then I married and took my ex's name. I divorced and changed my name to my grandmother's maiden name... So yeah it get complicated.. I am going to have my 5th name change ... Timmberly I am looking forward to seeing you in those red high heels..lol Shells.. Glad the boy is home and you feeling you again Is there more complications if your name has been changed before? I have a similar situation - born out of wedlock had my mom's maiden name until I was adopted by my stepdad and took his last name. I have the original paperwork to show my name change, and all my current documents - passport, birth certificate, etc, have my stepdad's (new last name) on them, but your comment worries me. Will I have problems in Mexico because of this? -

Canadian girls, do you have a good TA/company you can recommend? I've been working with one here in my city, but she's awful and can't get me a good rate at all. She quoted me $5328 per couple for 10 days for a basic room....awful! I can get better rates on selloffvacations.com or expedia.ca, but I want to have everyone book through a TA because they can pay a little here and there, they don't have to put all the money down now. Any suggestions?

This is awesome! Thank you so much! -
I too, am having a no children, all the family understood when it was explained to them, however, we did have one cousin who "assumed" she could bring her daughter because her husband is not coming, so she could come in his place. That was a hard conversation, but it had to be done. It wouldn't be fair for her to bring her daughter, and not allow all my other cousins - who I am actually much closer - with not to come....stick to your guns ladies! It's your day!

July 2010 brides!
*Krista* replied to Woodsylou's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Hi everyone! I'm so happy to see that we have a forum for July 2010 brides!! YAY!! My name is Krista, and I'm getting married July 10, 2010 at Dreams Tulum. What I've done so far.... Dress (already purchased, still have to do alterations later) Sent out my invites back in August/September so family would have lots of time to save Booked venue for wedding/paid deposit Booked AHR venue Decided all small details - favors, decos, etc Booked my photographer (coming from the states) So, here's my dilemma right now, I've contacted a TA here in my province, however, she can't seem to find anything that works for us. I'm not very happy with her service, and I'm wondering if any of you know a good TA or a good way that my guest could book, where we could be close together in the resort? I originally thought we could just book through Dreams Tulum for rooms (book a block of rooms for everyone) and then everyone could figure out their own flight, but that will be much more expensive! I'm at a loss right now.... -

Do I have to rent light columns or put up lanterns (I'm trying to save some money)? I worry that they might be too dark to dance or for photos... Thanks for the help, girls!!! Hi Oasis girl, I think the lighting is better at the dolphin pool because they have big floodlight things, and the pool is lit up, the relax pool doesn't have lights inside (not that I know of anyways, I might be wrong), but they can setup lights (however, they are a little harsh because they are so bright - not great for photos). I haven't decided between poolside or beach side, but either way, I'm planning to have lots of candles so hopefully that will help. On the beach, I'm pretty sure they have lights that they put up, as well as string lights around the palm trees.
