Yanell - I think part of the reason your prices are so much higher is where you are located. Prices will be much cheaper in Vallarta proper. When travel is involved the groups have to consider gas, food and, sometimes, lodging, depending on how late they will be at your event. Just something to keep in mind .

Well, you're in luck, as it isn't an option - we don't have fake tan sprayers ... there is one tanning bed at Plaza Caracol - but I've gone there several times asking if they have the fake tanning yet and they always say "todavia no" (not yet ... which really means, nope, not ever .

Sweet ... you guys love the combo! (i.e. funny - my Dad is a big Bronco fan too but I had to put that aside when loving these colors - sports smorts, I say! ).

I know I know!! I AM on vacation and I have had my but, anywho I snuck on here to show you the mid-month Sept blog of orange and blue ... Once-in-a-while I like to tell you what's going on down here in your wedding spot of choice, so here's my update! Everyone is gearing-up for THE most important government holiday of the year (I would say THE most important holiday but I really think this one ties with Christmas!!) which is Mexican Independence Day. Everywhere you go right now there are vendors selling Mexican flags and noise devices and t-shirts and and and and - you name it but whatever it is it is outfitted in the striped colors of green, red and white! Sept 15th/16th, for the Mexicans, mark their day of Independence from Spain. The revolutionary leader who started the rebellion against Spain was Father Miguel Hidgalo. It's claimed he cried out, "Long live religion! Long live Our Lady of Guadalupe! Long live the Americas and death to the corrupt government!" This cry will be repeated all over Mexico (including PV!), along with the ringing of a bell on the night of Sept 15th. After this cry, there will be a lot of partying going on. Here in Vallarta, the plaza will be PACKED - we went one year but I don't like it when there are so many people you can't even move . They will have castillos (I wrote to you about those once - those are big firework displays that are set-off and they have images on them - super dangerous but really pretty ) and fireworks and music. Then, on Sept 16th, there will be a big parade that will go through the streets of downtown on the Malecon. Wild, crazy two days!! Hello my beautiful, excited brides - I am POSITIVE that those of you with Oct, Nov and Dec weddings can't believe it's nearly here!!! I just wanted to let you know that I will be "gone" from Sept 12th until the middle of October so you'll be without all my sage and wise advice until then (I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you when I don't respond in that time frame!). The blog will still be coming-out, so if you want something to read (like you're super bored and have nothing better to do ) here's what will be coming-up: Sept 15th - the color scheme of orange and blue! Oct 1st - guest blogger talking about the history and showing example of traditional huppahs (more for coordinators, but just wanted to tell you if you were interested)!! Yes, the resort does have a new WC and she's trying to get caught-up to speed - I believe her name is Diana. Hotels, just like coordinators, have favorites and TDD has developed a good relationship with them (Dreams), so it doesn't surprise me that they recommend them. And, yes, I use to work for TDD for 2 years as their designer, along with my now partner, Omar. We stopped working with them at the end of the season (in june) of 2007. :)
