On the flip side, we think that some would surprise us if they didn't show up...although there have been a bunch of baby bumps popping up left and right, so you never know. My question to you guys is: do you think it would be tacky to send an email to those 65...almost like a "pre-STD" so we'll have a better idea to help to determine what route to take (10+ bedroom villa vs. small hotel, etc...) Thanks! Hi! I don't think it's tacky and STD's are the "norm" for a destination wedding .... I would do something cute like at Scrapblogs.com - Scrapblogs Resources and Information. or I know there are other STD internet sites that you can create something fun and in keeping with the whole wedding idea that will feel professional and like it's part of your whole wedding idea . Here in Vallarta a "large" wedding is 80 people. A "normal" wedding is 40-60 people and a "small" wedding is around 20-30.
  17. A big shout out goes to Joy & Derrick who were married this past January 17th! I am sure they are honeymooning it away in style in the Riviera Maya!!! Joy came to me last September and wanted some maracas which somehow could combine her super kewl, slightly beachy STDS with her more romantic, whimsical invites (I was told both were done by Sarah Sprouille of Sprouille Designs!). Joy's Super Kewl STDS Joy's Whimsical Invites Her colors were chocolate brown, celadon (even I had to look that one up!!) and yellow gold. Omar and I put our heads together and this is what we came-up with... Joy's Super Kewl, Whimsical Maracas! My favorite part of this maraca is the handle - I thought it would be great o have the design repeated on the handle and I love how Omar managed to pull it off :)!! Since I believe we need to wait until after her wedding before revealing a bride's design, next Tuesday we have K8's blue, red and white wedding project which was also super fun!

    Hello!

Felicidades and welcome to the forum!! Out of those months, I think January or November would be the best ones - but if you are planning for November 2009 you need to get hopping because it's a popular month and the best spots/vendors will fill-up fast. If you're aiming for January, you have more lee-way - not such a big month for weddings here (although weather is super nice) .
  21. Felicidades and welcome to the forum!! It's easy - go to Puerto Vallarta - warm, not too expensive, pretty and fun . (slightly biased .
