OMG - if you guys only knew what I went through to post this silly blog! Silly blogger was not cooperating and it took me oodles of hours - anyway, here it is . 2 Pesos - Stamps Can be Marvelous Things! A big shout out goes to K8 who tied the knot last Friday! I wanted to go but I had a teething baby to contend with and, just like the rest of you, must wait for wedding photos.... but, meanwhile, here is a little preview of a few little goodies we put together for her.... Kate wanted something that was romantic but distinctive to go along with her aqua/red motif so I went searching the internet for inspiration and I gave Kate her choice of various designs. This is the one she chose... Kate's Design Inspiration As fate would have it, she had a girlfriend who actually owned this stamp! So, she was able to have her friend make welcome bag tags and ceremony programs using the stamp motif. They looked like this: Stamped Ceremony Programs and Tags (not done by us but super kewl anyway!) I had the task of making the stamp into a useable graphic which was a fun challenge! I erased and colored away and put touches of the stamp into her menus, place cards and shake me tags for her maracas. They looked like this... Menus Place Cards Shake Me Tags! And, finallly, Omar and I discussed what would look best and came-up with the following design which I think really takes the cake! He's so crazy talented!! Maracas Next week will be a full on blog on the color scheme of red, orange and teal, submitted by a BDW bride!

Helen - I know there's a circus in town (we have A LOT of circuses - all small time, carnival type ones - like the U.S. back in the 30's ) ... but I DO NOT know why on earth that elephant was on our street.... Mel&B - if I post her maracas and things today what on earth am I going to post tomorrow? :) ... I'll see what I can do - I'm in the middle of switching computers so I need to wait until I've completed the switch - it's driving me batso!!

I thought this was too funny not to share. We live on a fairly major street and there is always some random little parade with a lot of noise going down the street for some random holiday or this or that. But one day the noise didn't die down like it usually did but kept going... So I got up from working and this is what I saw.... So, the other day I was again working away and I hear all this commotion ... so, again, I peek outside my balcony window to see what's going on .... and this time I see this!! So, tell me, when was the last time you saw an elephant outside YOUR window?

We've seen a bunch of tourists come into the restaurant - I'm not real sure how they are hearing about it, but they are :).

Felicidades and welcome to the forum! Of course I think a wedding in Mexico is super great and we're happy to host your big day - but It's hot and humid here in the Summer - unless you were thinking of someplace more arid like GTO .
