Hi everyone, we are flying one of our local photographers down to Mexico for our wedding. We do not have a local Mexican consulate located anywhere in our state so I have had no luck contacting anyone about this. I called the closest one in a surrounding state and all I got was a recording and I was unable to speak to a person or leave a message. I was just wondering if anyone knows how and which visa we will need to have her apply for in order to shoot our event. I think it is the FM3 but I am not positive. She will be there for 4 days total but only working for 1-2 the rest of the time she will be vacationing. Does anyone have any information that might help me?

We also love this show! My 8yo daughter and I never miss an episode. So far this season we love Kelly and Kenley (sp?). I think licious guy is trying to establish himself as the new Christian and licious is his "fierce". I agree though it is beyond annoying!

Ok so I have an positive update about the photographer. I just want to clarify why this has been so frustrating for me. While I did have her saying my photographer was approved, I attempted several times to have her specify in writing that I would NOT be paying the fee in addition to having our photographer stay at the resort. I started the entire process just to request my approval in writing . To which she would only reply....Shes approved but be aware You will be charged a $500/daily fee every single time I would state my request, regardless of how I requested it. Then my TA attempted on at least 3 occasions to get a different response from her, again she would only reply....Shes approved but be aware You will be charged a $500/daily fee To my TA as well as myself this was not accomplishing what we were requesting. So after my last coorespondence with her yesterday my TA took it upon herself to call the Director of wedding services for the Karisma hotels. Below is her response I just spoke with the Director of Weddings and she just confirmed that it is a $500 fee OR a 3 night stay at the resort....NOT BOTH!! So I think Nancy obviously just did not fully read my questions and just was saying that it was a $500 fee per day...not taking into account that they would be guests at the resort. She also went on to say that she is going to have it in writing for me next week and that she is going to make sure all of the WC's are up to date and on the same page because we are not the only ones having issues. I agree things will be better once the resort is up and running but I wanted to be sure to confirm everything before I booked the trip for my photographer and her assistant. Not to mention the sooner I book the better the airfare. That also makes total sense about the beach reception. I havent really even looked at anything else other than this photographer issue. So I hope this helps someone else and once this is all booked I personally am not going to plan anything else until after October

Ok so after 3 weeks of dealing with Nancy I am so freaking irritated with this whole photographer mess. This is the latest email I received about the approval and cost of using an outside photographer. I hope this email finds you well. Please be informed that the photographer will have to provide us with a copy of their workers permit. This information would be available through their country consulate department. The outside photographer fee is $500.00 usd per day. The following is the information regarding the photographer requirements. Please feel free to contact me with any future inquiries. Thank you. Note: Outside photographers and videographers are not allowed on property unless pre-approved by the hotel in advance. The hotels reserve the right to deny access to the property to any unauthorized photographer or videographer. Please contact your wedding coordinator for more information on approved vendors. Outside photographers and videographers approved by the hotel will incur a $500 photo fee per day. **El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels, by Karisma abide by all Mexican governing laws which require foreign workers to obtain proper licensing and work certificates while in Mexico doing work for themselves or on behalf of others . We reserve the right to request proof of such license and/or work certificate. Mexican citizen requires: RFC (registro federal de contribuyentes) Non Mexican Citizen: Mexican working visa, FM2 or FM3, RFC Does anyone else understand this? I just need to know either pay the $500 plus the 3 day stay or pay one of them. Why can't she reply to this simple question?? I am frustrated and my TA is just as frustrated. Any advice? Im trying to get it in writing but so far no luck and never the answer to my questions. Oh and I also asked her about the details of having a beach reception and guess what her reply was I hope this email finds you well. Please be advised that if you would like to host a private event dinner on the beach, this would be one of the available locations, however it would have to be approved by the resort. Please feel free to contact me with any future inquiries. Thank you. UUUGHH!!

Ok so I haven't really started looking at anything other than trying to get my photographer mess figured out, but after reading through some of the posts Im confused a little. The whole Lomas travel thing blows my mind. Is it too much for them to have it all in one document? Or at least something that says "here are your basic choices for decor, reception, etc" For further ammenities consult Lomas?? I mean give us something to go by because at this point Im not exactly sure what is included in my package! Ok so can someone tell me what our options are for a reception? I really just want to have a nice dinner on the beach after our ceremony. Is that even an option? I don't need all the dance floor and entertainment stuff since we will have that here at home. I thought I would check with you girls first about this before I attempt to squeeze any info out of Nancy about this. Oh and Im still waiting on a response about the photographer. If I don't hear back by Wednesday Im going to send Fabio an email and request a written approval like Jenny did.

Ok what is the deal with Nancy? It seems everytime one of us sends her an email we do not get approriate responses. I have been asking for approval for my photographer for weeks now and when she finally responds to that request she says "Please be advised that Jennifer would be able to have this photographer at the resort, however, she would be subject to the $500.00 usd outside photographer fee. Please feel free to contact me with any future inquiries. Thank you. So my TA and I have both written back to clarify it is either a 3 day stay OR the $500. I am just waiting for something definite in writing before I book my photgrapher. So far its been a few days since we sent her our current question. I know it usually takes her a few days to get back to us but it seems like Im not getting anywhere This is going to be more stressful than I thought if this is how all the communication is going to be.

Hey girls, I don't post here too often but I am also a Azul bride I have spoken with Fabio and Nancy via email a couple of times about some questions I have and it usually takes about a week for them to reply. For the most part it has been great and I have no complaints. My biggest concern is getting my Photographer approved. We have been attempting this for at least 2+ weeks and in every coorespondence I receive from them, this topic is completely overlooked. I finally contacted my TA and she is trying to get somewhere with it. We do know that we can bring her once we get prior approval but its driving me crazy because I want to get her trip booked asap to avoid higher airfare. Thats about as far as I have gone with the planning. I have looked at the flowers but we will bring our own and I think we have picked the cake. Its just confusing at this point because Nancy doesn't offer much guidance other than the wesite for Lomas travel. If anyone further in the planning process can offer any help that would be great! It looks like we will all be heading down there around the same time
