    I remember watching Princess Di's wedding on tv and loving her looooooong train and veil. But I also thought I would have a degree, career, get married and have a kid by the time I was 25. Obviously, I had no idea how time worked

    Oh that sucks! I have time warner and we get Bravo. Odd. I love that show! Its one of the few shoes that I like that FI will actually watch (while he plays on his computer). But he does always comment on the fashion show and whether he likes the outfits or if they are "hideous"

    Thanks ladies! I don't know why I'm having such a hard time finding shoes. I guess it's because I want green ones (my & FI fav color and our wedding color). I love, love these Guess shoes but know that with a 4 inch stiletto heal, I will regret every minute I continue my search - I still have several months.

    I know of a great place in Addison - but can't think of the name right now. I am going to use them because they are highly recommended by people I really trust and the prices are very reasonable. Sew something... Let me see if I can find it. I know I have their business card at home if google doesnt do the trick.     I have been searching for the perfect (for me) wedding shoes and haven't found them yet. Here are the sites I've looked at: zappos bluefly nordstroms, saks dsw shoes.com lots of brand sites (ninewest, seychelle, etc) Any other suggestions? I like those that carry several brands because they have more options. thanks!

    Secrets Capri brides - is anyone else having a hard time getting Alejandra to respond to emails? At first, she responded within 2-3 days. The last couple of weeks she has been responding every 7-10 days. Is it just me? Is anyone else having this problem? Even though I would like instant responses, I can live with 2-3 days, but 7-10 is toooooo long!

    Same here - I lose weight in my hands and never knew it until I got engaged. Right now I'm on a mission to lose 10 pounds overall and see it in my back. My dress is really low cut and I don't want to have back fat rolls. I guess this means I have to start hitting the gym again!

    I want to do this with you. I have also done weight watchers and it worked, but I need something new. I really want to lose 10 pounds in the next 3 months so I am "maintaining" at wedding time. A girl can hope, right?

    I may be too late (I just saw this thread) but if needed, I will highly recommend Kimberly at the Michael Raymond Salon on Preston at Forest. They have other locations, but Kimberly is the best and she is at the Forest salon. She is a trainer there and is friends with the in-house color specialist. She has fixed all of my friends hair mistakes. Tell her I sent you (ashli - she will know which one if you say I'm getting married) and she will take care of you!! I'm glad you got it fixed for your wedding, but if you ever need her, I can't say enough good things about her!

    We have a quote of $350 for 2 hours, with 2 places (outside). That includes the pics on high-resolution cd. Hope that helps!

    That's what we are doing - I get the room and he is leaving. I think i have more things (make-up, shoes, dress, etc) to transport. He's so easy, he can get changed anywhere. So he will probably be in my brother's room because my SIL will be with me

You can narrow the selection by color, heel height, price, etc. Maybe these: Annie Lola (Royal Satin) - Dress Sandals There are a lot more options in the higher heel size and some of them aren't that tall so make sure to check them out! And I think they have free shipping and returns as well!

    I had this discussion this weekend with some friends! We are using a Bob Marley song but I think anything like John Mayer would work. Also, Jason Marz (sp?) has some laid back songs that sound good on the guitar. I think it depends on the tone you want to set.

    Thanks for the pics! We are trying to do a site visit, but aren't sure yet. The main thing I don't like about the gazeebo is that the guests sit 3 steps below and in the sun. It would work for some people, but not my Irish in-laws who, um, don't tan FI is that way too so I have to provide some shade. We are also doing it closer to sunset so that should help. What time was the wedding in the photos? Thanks!!

    For those who have been - can you help with these 2 questions: 1. Alejandra said we could have our wedding on the deck (I think its next to the restaurant). What do you think? We dont care about privacy as much as some shade (why she suggested it). I'm not a huge fan of the gazeebo or the beach for what we have planned. 2. Is there a bar open at night? I know people have said its quiet at night - and that is fine with us. But I want there to be a place we can gather and get some drinks. Any insight on that would be appreciated! Thanks ladies...

    I've only used email, knowing it takes her 2 days to respond. If you know that it will take that long, you aren't on edge waiting (and checking your email every 30 minutes!). Since you have been there mmcgee - do you have any pics you can share with us? Secrets Capri is one of the less popular resorts (I think mainly because of the adults-only thing). I'm always interested in more pics! And now it seems like we have several SC brides so we can all help each other out

    Thanks for all the replies! I didn't get to log on yesterday, so it was so nice to read them on a Monday morning. I think yall are right - I just have to stop looking! It is in my closet so now I can focus on accessories and losing another 5 pounds
