  1. Hi Ladies,

Another November 2009 bride joining the groupcheer2.gif

We are getting married at Sandals Grande Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica on November 14, 2009. We booked the twilight package (married at sunset) and weather permitting plan on having our ceremony on the beach. The location cannot be confirmed until we get to the resort.

    •Picked a Travel Agent

    •Booked our room

•Set up block of guest rooms (22 people have booked so far!)

    •Booked our flights

•Blocked seats on Air Jamaica for guests

    •Asked MOH and Best Man

    •Set-up website

•Ordered STD magnets, photo stamps and envelopes

•Mailed STDs (designed brochure in publisher and used vistaprint for printing)

    •Ordered Photo-share cards from vistaprint.com

•Ordered Key pouch holders & wristlets

    •Ordered OOT bags

•Started purchasing goodies for OOT bags (find a word books, travel tin candles, first aid kits, playing cards)

    •Booked photographer for engagement session

    •Ordered monograms

•Purchased starfish sandals for wedding day

    Working On:

    •Ordering pashminas

•Invitations (deciding on DIY or ordering)

    •Labels for upcoming DIY projects

    •Designing postcards

•Looking for a gown and MOH dress

    To Do:

    •DIY projects

    •Bridal party gifts

    •Bridal party accessories

    •Reception play list

    •Much, much more

My FI and I joke that this is my new part-time job...

I look forward to chatting with you. Lots of love to my date twins smile03.gif

    Happy Planning!!

  2. Jessy,

    I LOVE everything!!

Did you make the brown brochure holders yourself? If not, what company did you order them from?

Which template did you use on vistaprint for the luggage tags to get the blue border on the left side?

How did your bags work out? Where did you purchase them?

Lastly, do you mind sharing your template or could you please share with us how you faded out the starfish photo on the raffia card poem?

    Thanks in advance!!

I have been on this site before, but never really took the time to read the post. I am leaving on 2/8/09 for SGOR and getting married on 2/12/09. It will be just FI and I therefore it will be a small, simple and short wedding. I don't know if it is because the time is nearing or I am just having some wedding jitters but I am very nervous. I am sometimes having regrets on booking the basic wedding at SGOR because I read that the basic package comes with no kind of decorations. This sucks, but is it real noticeable if you don't do any decorations. I feel like I spent too much money to get nothing. Also any past brides that had their pictures taken, how was the outcome and quality.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and if any past brides are still active on the board can you please assure me that I haven't made a bad choice in booking SGOR.
    Hi,

Amanda, one of the past SGOR brides has pictures posted in her SGOR review.

I have attached the link for you.

Just the two of us are going to be attending our wedding, so we're going to have the free reception. The first dance and cake will give us a chuckle since it'll be just us! But we booked a candlelight dinner on the beach for afterward so that should be a nice way to spend the evening :)

TA Jennifer, we are staying in a Riviera Deluxe Room in the Bamboo Grove Building at SGOR. Are these generally good rooms? We definitely wanted to be on the Riviera side to be part of the action. I'm starting to feel jealous of the concierge idea...lol As you said, it would be really relaxing to have room service and 24 munchies and a mini-bar, especially as it IS our honeymoon! Maybe I'll have to consider upgrading...

    Thanks again!
The candlelight dinner on the beach sounds like a perfect ending for just the two of you!

    Can't wait to see pictures...
