Hi ladies! For those who are having troubles getting a hold of the WCs, have you tried [email protected] Natalia del Olmo has responded to a few emails with 3 days, which as we all know is an AWESOME turnaround time

AAAAH! That makes total sense...thanks Carly! I seriously had moments when I felt like I was going crazy HAHAHA Sanity has returned!

Thank you ladies, firstly for all your hard work and secondly, for ensuring that we are always up to speed. Perhaps, when the decision is made to ban a specific vendor or member we could post this somewhere. Personally, I went insane trying to find a thread from a specific vendor...who turns out was recently banned (LisaMarkPhotography). Just a thought... Thank you again ladies! I cannot express my gratitude to the forum enough (especially being a DT bride) I full endorse a "MOD APPRECIATION DAY"

Hey hun, I did the same thing....bought my first dress and then found THE one! And speaking from experience, when you know...you know. I also got a killer deal on the second dress and believe that it was meant to be. If you are torn, you obviously feel fantastic when you are in the dress...soooooooo Welcome to the club HAHAHA

Hmmm, I'm not sure how we scored such an amazing rate (during March break at that!). They only thing that I can figure is that we approached our TA prior to the travel operators distributing their winter publications. We booked and received our group rate in May 2008 for our wedding in March 2009. We had to travel during March break due to the amount of teachers coming with us. With the amount that we were able to save, we were able to help pay for some of our nearest and dearest to come with us that wouldn't have been able to otherwise. For anyone in the GTA or the Guelph/Kitchener area, I'd be glad to share my TAs info.

Hi Trish, Congrats on your engagement!! I think I remember seeing another BC bride on our forum but can't remember whom. We're travelling out of Pearson during prime travel season (March Break) and because we booked early and have a group rate we managed to score a very sweet deal of $1399+taxes I want to say that its through Sunwing vacations. This was by far the best price and resort for peak travel season. Though the prices are cheaper in the summer we wanted a sunny destination to get away from the Canadian winterwonderland. Good luck and if you need anything else, don't hesitate. Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost for a week's vacation approx.? I need to find a resort that offers a reasonable price for guests but an amazing wedding as well! Any help you can give, thank you so much![/ SIZE]

Teesha, the ceremony can be modified to suite your needs and wants. To my understanding, you can omit the readings and blessings. We are having our siblings read some poems vs. religious readings. Hope this helps, Rachel Quote: Originally Posted by Teesha Hi ladies, I just read "can't wait"'s post about the ceremony and I'm a little concerned. Are the reading and blessings all standard? I'm only asking because I do not want anything religious, including bible readings, in my ceremony. Does anyone know if we can request certain parts of the ceremony to be taken out? I like the option of adding poems instead...maybe read by family members.

Ladies, do any of you have guests coming from other resorts? I'm aware of the day pass fees but I'm wondering logistically how they would get from one resort to the other?? I'm assuming a cab or something similar....also is there a timeline that these guests would need to be off Dreams property? Any additional info would be awesome! EEP! Just realize from my siggy that we get married in 4 months

WOOWHOO! Oh that's so great to hear....4 more days and counting (I can't imagine how excited you guys are!). Enjoy every second hun and congratulations again!! But the food is absolutely delicious and they have been able to accommodate everything I have asked for so far. My wedding is on Sat. I already met one of the other ladies from the forum here, I know there will be several of us here this week. 4 more days until the wedding!! Time flies once you get here, it is crazy!! Hope you are all well and not too stressed. O'h, and I met with Sandra and Liz her and hey are on the ball. Felt so much better after the meeting, I am not worried about it at all anymore. Such a relief!!!

Thank you so much ladies. I have tried them both on but didn't snap any pics. I'm a size 2 (33-24-35).....so either one looks good but I'm just soooooo torn because they are SO different from eachother. Taffeta vs Chiffon, Structured vs. Relaxed, Halter vs. Strapless. And with less than 4 months I need to get my butt in gear in order to allow delivery time AAAAHHH!

Unfortunately, I was told that it wasn't. The WC told me that I shouldn't worry, there was no need to change resorts b/c everything at DT would work out. Now I'm starting to get really worried. I've been trying to stay calm, but it's really hard! What should I do? Do I: (i) sit tight and hope that DT re-opens, (ii) be pro-active and move my wedding? The problem is that option (ii) is really difficult to orchestrate because I have 50 guests who would need to be moved (some of which chose not to book through my TA). I don't know if the price would change for them. It's so hard to decide what to do, so I've just been reading this forum everyday and continue to wait, wait, wait. Waiting is hard but I think for us (our weddings are still months away) that we can play the waiting game. Our fellow brides who are leaving in days and still don't know where they are getting married~ damn i feel for ya. I say we wait out the storm until at least the new year. We're getting married over March Break (because so many guests are teachers) so we've already confirmed with our travel provider and TA that we can NOT wait until the last minute to be moved. We're gonna wait it out...support the brides who are getting married in the next few days, weeks and months and worry about us come the new year (here's hoping we're making the right decision).
