amesharpe's Dreams Tulum Wedding Review
rachelannmartin replied to amesharpe's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Congrats jmb0902! You may wanna check out our main DT thread at: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t25646 The package really depends on what you want and particularly how many guests you are having. From what I gather, a lot of fellow DT brides have brought in outside photographers. Though brides who used the resort photog seem to have been really happy. Our other forum will be a great help to you...happy planning! -

rachelannmartin replied to rachelannmartin's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
They were VERY expensive! $400-$600! EEP! A little outta my price range. If you want her contact info PM me and I'll gladly send it your way. -

Hey Ame, as our date quickly approaches EEP! couple more silly questions Did you bring the ribbon that was wrapped around your flowers? And for attaching your iPod to the speakers, did you need to bring any additional adapters or cords to facilitate this? Thanks again hun! -
Halifax/ Toronto Question (Location related)...
rachelannmartin replied to MrChow's topic in Newbies!!
Welcome to the forum! I'm a little biased but I really do believe that there are some gorgeous resorts in Mexico and can't compare to Cuba. A lot of fellow brides are paying around 1200-1500 from Toronto. One thing that some brides forget is the legal paperwork involved when choosing a wedding location. Thankfully, Dreams Tulum doesn't require this and all you need is your passport and to be in Mexico 4 days before your wedding date. Something to definitely consider when selecting your resort. Good luck and happy planning! -
Welcome to the forum! Steph (Sunbride) correct me if I'm wrong but you didn't even need your B.C. She just used her Passport. Just remember that you need to be in Mexico, 4 full days before your wedding date (same goes for your witnesses). Some of the other Mexican resorts require a lot of documentation and what not but thankfully not DT! PHEW! Quote: Originally Posted by Dazzled Hi Ladies! A question I do still have is what size birth certificate did they require from Canadian brides? I hear differing opinions between credit card size and the long form birth certificate.

I know with all the planning and lil extras Janine is gonna have a fabulous wedding! We booked in May 2008 for our wedding in March 2009 and managed to find an amazing deal of $1399+$299 taxes. This is a group rate with Sunwing, so 10+ people. We booked before the travel brochures were published for our travel season, so you could most likely do the same and save a lot of cash. I know Stephanie said this price was amazing. If you want any additional info, feel free to PM me. Happy planning! Quote: Originally Posted by jawedding I can't believe it's Neen's wedding day! I might have asked this before - but can anybody tell me how much your guests had to pay for their trips? ours will be leaving from Toronto mostly.. but any quotes would be good! The best we have is 1775 pp.. we are hoping to find something slightly cheaper (planning to get married in Jan 2010), but not sure if that is a totally rediculous hope!~ thanks!!

Hi WisconsinBride! As Jen said, don't worry. Most of the brides dont start receiving faster response until about 1-1.5 months before hand. So if you are getting married in April, I wouldn't be too worried. Happy planning! Quote: Originally Posted by WisconsinBride I absolutely love this thread!! I am getting married at DT on April 15 2009 and initially I had been in very brief and short email contact with Lizet. Nobody has since then contacted me. Will they get ahold of me soon to start making more detailed arrangements? I know Lizet said it would be about 2-3 months prior, but now I'm worried since she's gone. Has everyone had good luck with Anabel and Natalia? Lizet took a long time to get ahold of. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

Hi Ladies, I was in touch with the spa and the spa concierge. Because Jen has booked over 18 spa appointments (YIKES) they increased the discount from 15% to 20%. So for most of us, it will remain 15%. But I have confirmed, if the brides pay for their guests hair appointments (i.e. bridesmaid hair, mothers, etc) they will transfer the 15% savings to these appointments as well. Hope this provides some clarity Quote: Originally Posted by JeninVirginia Hi All. I am planning my wedding for 2/23/09 and have been in contact with Anabel. I have lots of info- she seems to repond quick. So let me know if you have specific questions and I will try and get the answer for you. The 2009 price for a Bonfire is $60.00. If you ourchase a wedding package - Jennifer Barnett- the Spa Concierge will bump um your discount to 20 % off and let anyone of your guests have the same discount as long as you email her before you arrive. Her email: [email protected] Spa Services and Pricing are attached: Flower Choices are attached:

Ok this may be a really silly question but Ame during your reception you didnt have to worry about alcoholic beverages, right? The wait staff were there for you and your guests i.e. you didnt have to worry about running to the nearest bar -

I didnt even see this other thread you started Steph! So we are needing a AHR after our March wedding at DT for around $100 people. But because we are already paying $15000 for our DW (paying for our siblings and two closest friends) we need it to be ummm, well "economical." Oh and did I mention that 120 people will be invited? We are thinking around May when the weather is nicer and to give adequate time for our photos to arrive (so 8 weeks after our wedding) do you think thats too long? Any thoughts/suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks ladies

Steph, did you ever find out if they actually paid $10000+ for the video? Funny enough they are from Mississauga (20 minutes from Toronto)!
