  1. I am going to use them on my votive candles and fan wedding programs. Maybe on some of the stuff we have at our reception when we get home.
  2. Love it! I bought my FSIL the flip flop wine coasters. They are soooo cute!

  4. I think we are going to do one of the dinner cruises out of Cancun. I wanted to do something different and that was a bit of a treat for our guests.

And also because there were a few people in our group with hip & knee problems that would make it hard for them to move around alot on the sand. Since I wanted a big partay - they would have had to have been very careful dancing. How many people did you have at your reception? I thought I wanted our reception at the White Gazebo, but now I'm second thinking it because of the wind. We are getting married at 5 and our private dinner will begin at 6. We are expecting about 50 people in our group.
  6. I would send them as you receive gifts....otherwise it will be too overwhelming when you return.

I was planning on bringing votives for my EDR wedding in February to put on my reception tables, but may not now. We are getting married at Gazebo 55 and having our reception at the White Gazebo on the beach. Do you know if the tikki torches will stay lit on the beach?
  8. I am also getting married at EDR and was wondering the same thing. Thanks for starting the thread!

Attachment 2143 Thank you for posting the symbolic ceremony script! Do you recall when on the process the document signing took place? I'm trying to figure out if that would be a good place for my niece to sing.
  12. I think it will look perfect with your dress. I wouldn't want anything too big. The day is about you, not your jewels! Ha!
  13. We sent the margarita arrangement to our secretary on Secretary's Day!
  14. I put Riviera Maya on my STDs. We are getting married at El Dorado Royale. I would go off what the resort website says to be safe.
  15. Hey ladies! I have a couple random questions about EDR and would appreciate anyone's feedback. (1) Did your WC supply you with the symbolic ceremony script and timing, etc? I wasn't sure if we should be writing our own ceremony script. (2) Did any of you have a vocolist at your ceremony? Would that be weird? My 18 year old niece has an amazing voice and I really want her to sing at our ceremony. (3) Do any of you have pics from the various bars on the resort? We want to have a welcome reception, but just want to tell our guests to meet us a XXX bar at XXX time for a cocktail, etc. Something casual, not planned or secluded from everything. Thanks for all of your feedback!! This link is SOOOOOO helpful!
  16. We are having a very casual party when we get back. I am not going to wear my dress to that. It's going to start around 3 or so and go into the evening. Nothing too fancy...just famiy and friends.
  17. We are doing STDs for those people that we are inviting to the wedding (close friends and famiy), invitations for the same people and then ATW invitations for our reception at home. Hope that helps!

  19. I am using Monica, but haven't contacted her at all this week. She has been responsive to me though. Maybe try sending your emails again Good luck!
  20. We have been thinking the same thing! I'm not sure what we are going to do yet....I'll keep checking the post to see if anyone has any recos. Thanks for starting this post!
  21. It looks like your day was PERFECT! The pics are amazing.... Congratulations!!
  22. I don't know of any wedding packages, etc. but my FI and I just got back from Maui for a week long vacation. It is AMAZING!!! Our favorite spot was Kapalua....but Lahaina, Kanapali Beach and Wailea are all beautiful too. We had lunch one day at a restaurant in Lahaina called Pacifico (DELICIOUS!) and there was a couple by them selves that had just gotten married having their wedding dinner. It's such a beautiful place, you won't find a "wrong" location. On one of your nights there, you have to go to Hula Grill in Kanapali Beach...they have the most AMAZING ahi tuna!! And of course, Mama's Fish House.....they are both WONDERFUL!! You are going to have the time of your lives! Congrats!
