  1. Thank You Sunita! The reply you posted from the new WC, looks like her English is definitely better than any of the ones I worked with before! I sent Gaby an email last week and wanted to make sure they still give me credit for ceremony sound system, by not using their photographer. Haven't got any reply, and I thought, she might be swapping out. I'll wait and see when they gonna got back to me.

Thanks Paula, I guess I'll ask Claudia to be my WC once again rather than using whoever-gonna-be the next WC, should make my life easier~
  3. DING DING DING! I got my first response from Claudia, then handed to Daniella, then handed again to Gaby... and now another one? how many more on the go before my wedding?? How can I not be stress out
  4. I got some ceremony music questions... I am given credit from Gaby to use their sound system for ceremony, but not sure if they will provide the music, or I have to bring my own?? If I need to bring my own music, what format should I prepare? Mp3 player/ipod, cd or dvd? What else is included other than sound system an mic?? Does anyone know? thank you!!!

And they picked us up at the hotel on time and got us to the airport quick. thanks for the info share, i've been looking into it, another one i found is called Mexico Hotels, Mexico Travel Destination Guide, Mexico Vacations it seems like they are pretty good among feedbacks on this forum

Hi Jill, quick question, for the '4 witnesses' who sign, are they going to be my guest/parents, or provided by Dreams??
  7. Great review!! the WC problem is the major one that i've been concern... however, your wedding turns out really nice, congr!!!

If she doesn't have my date available, I need to find someone in the same price range o just use Juan Navarro. my 2nd question is...For those who had their reception on the terrace area..Is there a way I can hang lighted paper lanterns over there? I would really like to hang some around the "Dancing" area, from that awning thing that's there...But I;m not sure if that is possible since I haven't really seen it. Have you seen this done? I may just buy them and if I can't use them after I can always sell them on here. :-) I think it took her like a week to reply me. She'll get back to you, don't worry.

Your hair looks smokin hott!! I don't know how to post the video!!! Its too private to post on youtube-- any ideas? I would definitely get the video over the gazebo drapery- you'll have the video your whole life. I still cry every time I watch it-- you will not even remember the drapery. The suit was a steal too-- he got it on Amazon for $152 after shipping and it looks like its cheaper now-- good news, apparently you'll save $1,104 on the suit and get it for $95. Amazon.com: Beautiful & Brand New Italian Linen Mens Suit in White ~~ Hand Tailored for Perfect Fit 3 Button Suits ~~ Perfect for Cruise , Wedding , Summer: Apparel. It looks a little cheese-y in the pic online but it looked great when he got it. He had the shirt already, it was from Saks but a year or two ago. Yes, he was the one included in the package, i.e. the resort hired him-- however, we had the dreams of love and swapped the photog for the videographer. I really will send it out if there is some techie on here who can tell me how. Samantha, you can open an account and upload your video to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket. After the file is done, they will give you links which you can send to people to share. If you have a google account, picasa has similar function that you can set your file private, and people can't access to your file unless you give them the link.
  11. Thanks for the review!! I've been reading a lot of review regards to Gaby wasn't as helpful as I wanted her to be, and thought of changing to Claudia. But your review eased my worries! BTW, just to confirm, the video guy you had, is he the one included in the package?? Can't wait to see your video! Congr again!!

Ummm.... Since I don't really care much about photos from reception (I have another reception party a week after at NYC), I am thinking to upgrade to get one extra hour from Juan for $470, and pay to get the DVD with all pictures.
  14. Just saw your professional pictures from Juan, they look good. But I got a question... I am getting the Ultimate Package, and Gaby told me that Juan will be there around 2 hours. But looking at your pictures, seems like he stayed long. Did you pay extra to upgrade your service so Juan stayed longer time? I wanted him to come early to snap some of the preparation moment, and Gaby said there will not be enough time... I am a bit worried.

As for the wind, Claudia said it was abnormal, but out of the 11 days we were there, only 1 day wasn't very windy. The wind at the gazebo varied and the day of my wedding was probably the worst we saw it but we weren't generally at the gazebo at that time each day. The other days weren't quite as bad, but still pretty bad. I had a veil too but made a game time decision not to wear it and I'm glad. We used it for some of the pics on the beach where it wasn't nearly as windy and even then, it came out of my hair a few times (it had a comb and it would feel fairly secure when we put it in). I won't get my professional pics for another week or two. We can't wait to see them. Some of the other non-pro pics are on our facebook pages. I will post when I feel better. Quick question, did you bring in your own photographer? I am always worry about how long they will give me the photos since I have a reception 1 week after, and want to put those pictures for projection.
  17. Great review, and I can't wait for Tammy to help me more when my date is closer!

The wedding was wonderful! Weather wasn't the best (had to postpone the wedding 1/2 hour for brief rain shower and it was EXTREMELY windy) but can't control that. Claudia was easy to work with once I got there. I switched my photographer without making prior arrangements and when we sat down, we extended the videographer. The video was AWESOME - I'd recommend extending it instead of the gazebo decor! He came to my room before hand, video'd FI, the ceremony, and most of our pictures. FI spent a good part of yesterday converting it to put on his facebook page. Not sure if you'll be able to see it without being his friend, but here's the link: Login | Facebook Claudia's mom is sick, so she's been very distracted with that. We had to move my initial session a few days (which I was mad about) because she had to go to the hospital (not sure the problem w/ her mom). A day or so after the wedding, we had our appt to finalize the billing and she called me crying saying she had to leave because of her mom. Someone's wedding was going on at that time too so I felt bad for that bride. She stayed through my reception and there were a few times I needed her to find things / do things. Overall, I would also recommend being very organized. I had everything written down and all items labelled in bags (i.e. items for bouquets, sand ceremony, all guestbook items together, etc). I wish I could give more details right now, but I'm going to try to get more sleep. I really don't want to be sick - I'm suppose to be going back to work tomorrow and have SO much stuff to do today. Welcome back! Great video!!! Can't wait to hear more about the detail, rest now, and tell us more later~
  19. Hi all, I never been to Cancun, and heard some crazy stories about the airport. Since I am going to have my wedding at Dreams Cancun, and not a lot of guests, something like 20 people, I am thinking to provide private pick up services. I did some research online, and found this one: Transfers Cancun Did any one used this company? Or, if you can recommend one for me? Do they all dress up in appropriate attire, and hold big banner to pick up?? thanks!!

I read it here about the sound system that someone from the resort will run it.

Thing is, most of our guests dont know we are already legally married. I still want to do the ceremony we wrote. I want the ceremony in Mexico to have every element of being the legal one minus the blood tests and all. Can anyone lend some insight? Thanks so much! As far as I know, everything at symbolic is the same as the legal one except that u don't have the 'legal' format marriage certificate from Mexico.
  22. Great pictures!! Can't wait to see more~ How as the wind at the Gazebo? It wasn't that bad looking at your picture.. is it?
