Ok starting to get frustrated. Just heard back from Fernanda (its been 10 days) and she only answered one of my questions. Starting to think that the way this is going there is no way we can get married in November! She has been really slow responding!

Don't worry about everyone else. This day is about you and FI. Make it your day. I do know how frustrating it can be about the lack of communication from WC's. I found the resort I wanted and now I can't get the WC to email me back about what dates are available! I want to book so I can start on all the other details.

FI and I just had this conversation last week. This is the 2nd marriage for both of us. My first one I did what everyone else wanted and didn't get the wedding of my dreams. This time as long as we're both their with his 2 kids, that's all that matters to us. However, we did poll family & friends to ask what time of the year would work best for them and everyone said - Pick a day, we'll be there. We are looking at Cancun because its cheapest/easiest to fly into and then guests can stay wherever. The future in-laws have timeshares there so they'll probably get 1-2 rooms and have a bunch of people stay with them.

I stayed at Velas two years ago with FI. It was a very nice resort. The food was very good for an all-inclusive. The rooms were clean and nice. They do have a kitchen area which they stock with snacks & the fridge is stocked with beer, water, soda and milk. The grounds are beautiful. They did have a good selection of beer/alcohol. We stayed last year at the Cozumel Palace and while we enjoyed the staff and service we received in Cozumel better, the food and drinks were much better at Velas.

Yes that was me who she gave a Nov 14th date. I went back ot her and asked for other options available in November. I had wanted either Veterans Day weekend or the weekend before Thanksgiving. FI's bday is the 29th so it would be fun to be on our honeymoon for his birthday!

Its been a week since I last heard from Fernanda too. I'm starting to get worried as well because we're hoping for a November wedding this year and if she's this slow in getting back to me and getting me available dates, I'm worried that we won't have enough time to get everything planned!
